CLEVELAND (WJW) — An investigation is underway following a fatal truck-versus-bicycle crash on Cleveland’s west side Wednesday morning, police confirmed to FOX 8.

First responders were called to the area of West 114th Street and Franklin Boulevard just after 9:20 a.m. for reports of a crash.

Upon arrival, Cleveland police said they learned a man riding a bicycle collided with a truck. Cleveland EMS declared the bicyclist dead at the scene, according to police. The driver of the truck did stay on scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office was also called to the scene. They identified the victim as 36-year-old Christian Carter.
