SARCO Architects Costa Rica have won the ‘Best Leisure Architecture Caribbean 2017-2018′ award at the International Property Awards Grand Finals held at the Savoy Hotel in London on Dec. 4, 2017. This is now SARCO Architects’ sixth design award, the most of the entire region.

SARCO Architects Costa Rica was honored with the best in region design award at the 2017 International Property Awards Grand Final at the Savoy Hotel in London, United Kingdom on Dec. 4 for their Cap Limón Luxury Club Residences Resort in the Dominican Republic. SARCO Architects Costa Rica competed against the best property and design professionals and was presented with the “Best Leisure Architecture Caribbean 2017” design award. Being named the entire region’s best leisure architecture is a tremendous achievement, and now SARCO Architect’s Costa Rica sixth design award at the internationally recognized International Property Awards.

The other awards presented to the firm in the 2017 Americas Property Awards were: “5-Star, Best Leisure Architecture” and “5-Star, Best Leisure Development” for the Dominican Republic.

Winning the entire Caribbean region’s Best Leisure Architecture award is a tremendous achievement for our firm. Winning now a total of six design awards in two regions, plus a region’s best architecture award is a huge accolade and great honor. Being the region’s most award-winning architectural firm cements our position as a truly international architectural firm.

The International Property Awards is the largest, most prestigious and widely recognised programme in the world. Now in their 26th year, the International Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts.  Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.

The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, The Earl of Liverpool and Lord Thurso, members of the House of Lords in the U.K. Parliament.

After 14 years of designing luxury residences for international clients from North America and Europe, SARCO Architects expanded into international projects and in 2017 were awarded as the best architects in the Dominican Republic with a luxury resort project. The Cap Limón Luxury Club Residences project then received the nomination for the International Finals and named winner as the entire region’s best design.

As winners of the Caribbean’s Best Leisure Architecture award, SARCO Architects went on to compete against three other winners from the Arabian, Asia-Pacific and the U.K. regions for the World’s Best Leisure Architecture Award.
