Conservatives Are One Chiefs Win Away From Claiming Taylor Swift Actually Is Joe Biden and That’s Why You’ve Never Seen Them in the Same Place

What do Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Joe Biden, Super Bowl LVIII, and the 2024 election all have in common? They’ve scrambled the brains of right-wing conservatives, who appear to have finally lost all touch with reality.

While scores of conservatives have been irrationally angry at Swift for many months now on account of her…showing up at football games to support her boyfriend, the hysteria reached new, previously unfathomable heights after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens to clinch their spot in next month’s Super Bowl. And according to the conspiracy-theory-laden MAGA faithful, the outcome of Sunday’s game can only mean one thing: The Super Bowl has been rigged, Swift is going to endorse Biden, and it’s all part of a secret government operation that goes all the way to the top.

“The Democrats’ Taylor Swift election interference psyop is happening in the open,” read one post on X Sunday night. “It’s not a coincidence that current and former Biden admin officials are propping up Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. They are going to use Taylor Swift as the poster child for their pro-abortion GOTV Campaign.” Said another: “The NFL is totally RIGGED for the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift, Mr. Pfizer (Travis Kelce).* All to spread DEMOCRAT PROPAGANDA. Calling it now: KC wins, goes to Super Bowl, Swift comes out at the halftime show and ‘endorses’ Joe Biden with Kelce at midfield. It’s all been an op since day one.” Said the actual GOP district chair of Georgia: “I tried to warn yall back in October that the influence of @taylorswift13 on our youth with witchcraft was demonic, evil, and Luciferian. Of course, Satan wants to use her now to elect Joe back into the White House to destroy what’s left of America.”

On Monday, former presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy chimed in to ask: “I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”

Ramaswamy’s post came the same day The New York Times reported from that Biden aides “are drafting wish lists of potential surrogates, including elected officials, social media influencers, and the endorsement of their wildest dreams: the global superstar Taylor Swift.” According to the right, that does not mean that Team Biden would love to have the endorsement of a wildly popular celebrity with legions of fans, just like any candidate for higher office would, but that Swift is a government plant being used to manipulate the outcome of the next election, or something like that. Even before the news that the president’s campaign was—gasp—hoping for a major endorsement, one Fox News anchor was literally saying the following words, in all seriousness, on air:

“Around four years ago, the Pentagon psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset during a NATO meeting.”
