Cintas ‘Custodian of the Year’ voting ends: Springfield Public Schools Joemar Quiros a contender

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – This a Springfield Public Schools custodian has the opportunity to win a national competition that celebrates and honors custodians with unique and inspiring stories.
The 11th annual Cintas Custodian of the Year competition has reached its final hours with voting ending at midnight. Among the top 10 finalists is Joemar Quiros, who has been dedicated to cleaning and maintaining Frederick Harris Elementary School for the past two years, earning the admiration and appreciation of teachers and locals alike.
“They’re doing things for the community and not only the community but for the kids, you know they keep the schools clean, bathrooms nowadays, that’s really important,”
If Quiros wins, Cintas will give him $10,000 and his school will get $5,000 in cleaning products. He’d also get an all expenses paid trip to a Las Vegas convention.
