- Saturday July 6, 8:30pm Eastern – San Antonio Spurs
- Sunday July 7, 8:00pm Eastern – Chinese National Team
- Tuesday July 9, 10:00pm Eastern – Sacramento Kings
It’ll be an interesting watch for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it’s always fun to watch some young Hornets take part in the Summer League environment. Taking part in the California Classic gives us more of those moments.
The first opponent, the Spurs, will likely be debuting two new lottery picks, and it’ll be interesting to see how they look. The Chinese National Team will provide a unique test and watch for people and players used to American basketball.
The Hornets will also participate in the Las Vegas Summer league that will run from July 12 to July 22 this summer. The schedule for that will come out later, usually after the NBA has a good idea of which players they want to match up against each other. The roster(s) for the summer league will come out in the week or so preceding the Hornets flying out.
