Because why shouldn’t cats earn their keep by producing lucrative beats to sell to record companies, novelty product manufacturer SUCK UK has created a scratching pad that looks like a Moog electric synthesizer from the 80’s. Available for sale next month, my cats are sure to become international music superstars. Or ignore the scratcher altogether and only play with the box it came in; it could be either way (and likely the latter).

Does your Cat wish she was in a 80’s synth pop band? Tiddles will love getting her claws stuck into the irresistibly scratchy cardboard keyboard (and it will keep her from tearing up your furniture).

The scratcher features all the styling of a vintage Moog (and even includes a giant ‘MOG’ on the back as a tribute, as well as a Nine Each Nails-inspired ‘NIИE LIVES’ sticker). In addition to a replaceable cardboard cat scratch, it also has a captive cat toy ball for your feline friends to swat at. Just add some catnip, sit back, and wait for the record companies to start calling!

It’s only a matter of time before somebody lets their cat loose on a real synthesizer and turns the music they create into a best-selling platinum album. But then, who gets the proceeds from the album sales? Hopefully me, for coming up with the idea in the first place.
