Antonio Brown and CTESPN have been steadily gaining followers on Twitter, attracting fans and X consumers alike. Many find the tweets from the former All-Pro football player on various topics both hilarious and occasionally objectionable. His series of tweets about Caitlin Clark started on March 3, humorously congratulating her on becoming the all-time leading scorer by posting an image of Mel Gibson.

The tweet gained some traction on March 5 when he posted highlights of her, compiled with video and audio of Mel Gibson winning an award for his role in the movie “Braveheart.”

In March, Brown’s tweets contributed to the growing conversation around the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. On April 2, Brown doubled down by calling the #1 Pick “Mel Gibson” in a quoted tweet from ESPN journalist Dan Orlovsky.

Just the day before, commenting on the poor quality of the NBA draft, AB suggested that Clark should be drafted, ending the tweet with his patented hashtag ‘#CTEESPN.’

Harmless trolling by someone of Brown’s fame and influence carries a different level of impact. So yesterday, when he commented that she “keeps it hairy,” it seemed to be the straw that broke the camel’s back, prompting Clark to wisely decide to block him. Now that he is blocked, fans are wondering whether this will fuel Brown’s trolling or if he will find something new to talk about.
