Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an apparent right leg injury in today’s game at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In a late second-quarter play from the Bengals 21-yard line, Watson tried to take off on a QB run. As he planted his right leg it appeared to buckle and Watson stayed on the ground after a non-contact injury.
There appeared to be some boos from fans as Watson was hobbled on the ground.
Watson was carted off the field. Dorian Thomposon-Robinson took over for the Browns at quarterback. Jameis Winston was designated the team’s emergency QB just minutes before kickoff.
Just after halftime, Watson’s injury was reported to be to his Achilles. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
