Boy, 15, shot, critically wounded in Brooklyn

A 15-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded in Brooklyn Monday afternoon, police said.

The teen was blasted in the back on 62nd St. near 20th Ave. in Bensonhurst about 1 p.m., cops said.

Medics rushed him to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition.

There were no immediate arrests and it wasn’t clear what sparked the shooting.

The Daily News reported Sunday that 10% of the 620 people shot in the city through July 9 were under the age of 18.
