Meetings and event platform Bizzabo launched new wearable technology for onsite events based on functionality developed by Klik, the startup Bizzabo acquired last year, the company announced Thursday.

Attendees can use Bizzabo’s SmartBadge to check in, download content and network, and lets exhibitors capture and access intuitive event data on attendee behavior and interactions, according to Bizzabo.

It’s also reusable, “allowing organizers to return badges to Bizzabo to be reset and recycled as needed,” according to the company. No personal information is stored on the SmartBadge, according to Bizzabo.

Meanwhile, Bizzabo said in-person events hosted on its Event Experience OS increased by nearly 724 percent year over year during the first nine months of 2022.
