BETHESDA, Md. — A family of five has been displaced after their home caught fire on Monday.
At 10 a.m., firefighters with the Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the 5800 block of Greenlawn Drive in Bethesda to fight the flames of a reported house fire. At the scene, firefighters noticed a two-story, single-family home up in flames, with heavy fire coming from the back of the home.
Crews were able to bring the flames under control shortly after arriving on the scene.
No one was injured as a result of the house fire, but a family consisting of likely three adults, two teens, and a pet were displaced.
Currently, there is no word on the cost of damages but a GoFundMe has been started to help the family.
