Berkshire County woman wins $1M on scratch-off

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. (WWLP) – A Berkshire County woman has won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket. Marcia Paris of Lanesborough won on the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “300X” $30 instant ticket game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, Paris’ father purchased a “300X” ticket first, then another customer bought the next ticket and got her turn to buy a ticket, which ended up being a winner.
Paris chose to receive a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes and plans on building cabins on her property and to take a vacation to Aruba with her winnings. The winning ticket was purchased at Mobil on Main Street in Lanesborough, which will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
