Basildon couple set to open new CBD store in Basildon – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Daniel Green, 23, and Terrie-Leigh Burchill, 22, from Basildon, will to open the CBD Hub, in Market Square, on Monday.
The hub will be for “everything CBD-related” in a bid to challenge the stigma around cannabis and show the benefits it can have medically.
Daniel said he first heard about CBD as a teenager when he first started to experiment with cannabis recreationally.
He said his father had always told him from a young age that it “pays to be informed about these things, because as a young person we were bound to bump into it at some point”.
Daniel added: “I just did research about cannabis in general and found that a lot of countries were just moving into legalising it for recreational use and generally has been quite successful.
“CBD can be helpful in all kinds of ways – it has been tested to help treat hundreds of chronic pain illnesses.
“There is a stigma around cannabis in this country, and rightly so, as there is so much misinformation out there.
“The laws around cannabis and CBD are very vague so it pays to have somewhere to go to stay well informed. We are in the process of joining the Cannabis Trades Association too, so that we ourselves can stay well versed in the ever-changing cannabis landscape.”
Daniel explained how, at 19, he was diagnosed with PTSD, but a variety of different prescriptions failed to work.
