Trahanas Hospitality Group, which is completing a $6.5 million renovation of a restaurant and catering venue at Eisenhower Park, has named its executive chef.

Tom Gloster is now the executive chef of the restaurant and banquet facilities, which are undergoing “a full renovation and re-envisioning,” according to a news release about the East Meadow hospitality spot.

As executive chef, Gloster is overseeing the kitchen, which will serve three dining operations under one roof.

The first venue to open is The General, a members-only cigar club and steakhouse, which plans to begin serving by the end of July.  The Lannin, a banquet and event facility, is slated to open in August, as is The Union, an upscale restaurant.

A Huntington resident, Gloster is the former executive chef at Rustic Root in Woodbury. He is winner of Food Network’s “Chopped” (2015) and former executive chef at Opus Steakhouse, the Harbor Club at Prime in Huntington, and Rothmann’s Steakhouse in East Norwich. He graduated from Long Island Culinary Institute in 2006.

“We’re bringing a modern elegance to our menus, infusing them with their own personalities to make them unique food experiences,” Gloster said in a statement.

Visitors to all three establishments will find that the venues also include with a full sushi menu, plus wines and handmade cocktails.

The Lannin, The Union and The General are three individual properties under one roof at the site of the former Carltun on the Park, which closed last year. The renovations include full interior renovations, a new kitchen and a roof deck that overlooks the putting green at the Eisenhower Golf Course. Together they comprise a 35,000-square-foot facility that also includes an indoor-outdoor wedding ceremony space and fully renovated bridal suites.

“We’re honoring the tradition of what people remember about coming to this location in Eisenhower Park, but the experience will be fresh and surprising,” Elias Trahanas, co-founder of Trahanas Hospitality Group, said in a statement.

“We’re designing each property with its clientele in mind: whether brides on their special day, businesspeople entertaining corporate clients or everyday people looking for a special dining experience,” he added.
