Arrest made in Roseville USPS mailbox key theft

(FOX40.COM) — The Roseville Police Department said it has made an arrest in connection with the robbery of a United States Postal Service worker.

The police said the mailbox keys, which grant access to all mailboxes in the 95747 ZIP code area, were returned to the postal service.

The suspect was booked into Placer County Jail.

According to the police department, a postal employee was approached by the suspect on Mockingbird Street around 2:16 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said the suspect demanded the keys from the worker and displayed a handgun before taking the keys.
