Raleigh police are actively searching for an armed subject they say escaped custody in the 2500 block of Green Castle Court.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to the area after receiving reports a man with a gun was in the neighborhood.
Police say a struggle began while officers were taking him into custody and the man escaped, adding an officer fired his gun and struck a home during the incident.
No injuries were reported.
Residents are encouraged to stay inside and report suspicious activity to 911.
