Authorities have issued an Amber Alert in Chapel Hill for a missing baby boy.
Jaxton Brown was born on Feb. 18. He is approximately 1 foot, 7 inches tall and weighs about 7 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.
Investigators believe Brown is in danger.
Chapel Hill police said the boy is believed to be with his parents, Destinee Ariel Cothran and Justin Lee Brown.
Cothran, 26, of Garner, is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Justin Lee Brown, 29, of Durham, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
The baby and couple could be traveling in a white 1997 Mercury Mystique. Authorities said there are two possible tags: 031724 or 29279542.
Both tag numbers listed for the Mystique are temporary, paper tags, authorities said.
Authorities said the missing boy, Cothran and Brown were last seen at 5623 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd. in Durham. The address is where the Chapel HIll- Durham Red Roof Inn is located. Hotel employees declined an interview request with WRAL News on Monday.
