After scathing ethics report, George Santos says he won’t run for reelection

A report released Thursday by the House Ethics Committee found clear evidence that embattled Republican Rep. George Santos of New York stole from his campaign and deceived donors. Following the report’s release, Santos announced that he will not run for reelection in 2024.
