Rain and possible thunderstorm chances drop off later Wednesday but return in scattered fashion as we move into the coming weekend

How much rain is likely to fall from Beryl?

The NWS blended model guidance suggests a swath of 2-4”+ additional rainfall is likely south and east of Chicago. 

Beryl’s heavy Missouri/downstate Illinois rainfall 

A band of heavy rain set up across southeast Cook County producing unofficial totals in excess of 3.00″ near Dolton.  Here are the heaviest totals through late Tuesday evening with plenty of rain still forecast to fall.

While Flood Watches continue for portions of Missouri, Illinois, (including the immediate Chicago metro area) Indiana and Michigan, heat alerts remain up and down the length of the West Coast, Southeast and East Coast.
