“We recognize our decision was challenging for our patients, staff and community,” the hospital says in a statement.

MARYSVILLE, Calif. — Adventist Health and Rideout in Marysville has lifted restrictions on all visitor access and normal operations has resumed Saturday.

The hospital temporarily suspended access to visitors Friday afternoon due to “safety concerns,” but was not related to any outbreaks, clinical challenges or care related issues.

“We recognize our decision was challenging for our patients, staff and community and appreciate their understanding and cooperation as we worked to resolve the issue,” the hospital said in a statement Saturday.

During the temporary closure, staff said Friday the hospital campus is safe, but were working with law enforcement, as access to the facility was being controlled.

Adventist Health did continue scheduled procedures and its emergency room remained open.

“We urge anyone experiencing a medical emergency to seek care immediately and not delay care,” the hospital said Friday.

While visitor access was suspension exceptions were made for pediatric patients, individuals with pediatric patients, individuals with a disability or cognitive impairment, end of life, labor postpartum and NICU.
