We may be in the ’20s once again, but if you were to travel forward in time from the past to the present day (not unlike a famous film franchise), you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d plotted the wrong year into your car radio (still with us?) and instead wound up in the ’90s. This is because so many ’90s trends are proving even more popular today than they were back then, one of which is Prada bags.
Easily the most aspirational arm candy of the throwback decade, Prada’s bags—specifically its nylon iterations—were the stuff fashion dreams were made of. Everyone wanted one. The most memorable lines from the ’90s flick 10 Things I Hate About You is all about them. Indeed, they’re of cultural significance.
