Select a drawer or shelf in your bedroom that has been a constant source of frustration due to its disarray. 

For example, let’s tackle that overflowing sock drawer.

First, empty the entire drawer onto your bed or a clean surface. 

Take a moment to assess each item and ask yourself if it sparks joy or serves a practical purpose. 

If yes, neatly fold or roll the items and place them back in the drawer. 

However, if an item no longer serves you or brings you joy, it’s time to let it go. 

Donate, sell, or discard those socks that have seen better days or no longer fit your style.

Starting with a small area like a drawer, you’ll experience an immediate sense of accomplishment. 

The newly-organized space will motivate you to tackle the next decluttering task.

The “Four Box” method is a fantastic technique that helps simplify decision-making and streamline decluttering.

As you go through your belongings, place each item in its corresponding box based on its relevance and value. 

The “Undecided” box is for items you’re unsure about and need more time to consider.

For example, I encountered a pile of old magazines as I sorted through my bedroom. 

Some had sentimental value, while others were taking up space. 

Using the “Four Box” method, I could categorize the magazines accordingly. 

The ones that held special memories were placed in the “Keep” box, while the rest were designated for donation or recycling.

Remember, this method clarifies your decluttering decisions, allowing you to let go of items that no longer serve a purpose in your life while retaining those that truly matter.
