Police in Oklahoma City said they are investigating a quadruple homicide involving three children found fatally shot Wednesday night.
Oklahoma City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Gary Knight told USA TODAY officers responded to the shooting about 11:30 p.m. near NW 10th Street and N Rockwell Avenue.
The area is about 10 miles west of downtown.
Knight said a fifth person, the suspect shooter, was also shot and died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Motive in shooting under investigation
A motive in the shootings was not immediately known.
“As far as the relationship between the shooter and the victims, that hasn’t been confirmed yet,” Captain Valerie Littlejohn with the Oklahoma City Police Department told local outlet KFOR. Littlejohn added that it appeared one of the victims, a woman, was romantically linked with the suspect.

A medical examiner will determine the victim’s cause of deaths, he said.
