A man who lives nearby said he was woken up by the shooting, and police later notified him that there were bullet holes in his car.
EVERETT, Wash. — Three people were injured in a shooting that took place in south Everett on Tuesday night.
All three victims are receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at 805 W Casino Rd. at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Police K-9s and a helicopter helped look for a suspect, but they were unable to find anyone. A portion of Casino Road was closed for several hours during the initial investigation.
Isreal Smith, who lives nearby where the shooting took place, was woken up by the gunshots.
“I was actually sleeping and I heard the shooting, so I hit the floor and heard a bunch of commotion,” Smith said. “It was pretty nuts.”
Police arrived to investigate the shooting and told people who lived nearby to stay inside, Smith said. They also notified him that there were multiple bullet holes in his car.
“Craziness in this neighborhood,” Smith said.
Smith said he’s heard a few shootings over the last few months, but there hasn’t been one this close to his home before.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
