2024 Rock Hall induction is weeks away: what to know

CLEVELAND (WJW) — We are just over a month away from when music legends will descend on Northeast Ohio for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

“The excitement is building over here, getting ready for all the events we are going to have,” said Jason Hanley, VP of education at the Rock Hall.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Rock Hall is hosting a Music Industry Career Summit.  The event is aimed at introducing young people to careers in the music industry.

Sunday, Oct. 13, is Celebration Day at the Rock Hall, and it’s free for Ohio residents.

They’ll have live music and debut the 2024 Inductee Exhibit.

“This year, there are 16 different artists being inducted, the biggest class ever,” said Hanley.

The big show is set to take place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Some of the inductees include:

• Mary J. Blige
• Cher
• Dave Matthews Band
• Foreigner
• Peter Frampton
• Kool & The Gang
• Ozzy Osbourne
• A Tribe Called Quest

Hanley said the list of performers and presenters will be announced next week.
