2 drivers charged in crash that killed passenger in Wheat Ridge

DENVER (KDVR) — An investigation determined that two drivers both ran a red light, resulting in the death of one passenger in Wheat Ridge last month, according to police.
On Sept. 10 around 10:30 p.m., police officers in Wheat Ridge responded to the crash at the intersection of West 50th Avenue and Kipling Street.
On the scene, officers found a woman with serious injuries in the passenger seat of one car. She was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department provided an update on X Friday, saying that video evidence indicated that both drivers ran a red light at the intersection.
The police department charged both drivers with careless driving resulting in death.
