18-year-old arrested after sexually battering minor in Ocala, deputies say

A man was arrested after raping a teen and trying to get her pregnant to force the relationship to continue, according to Marion County deputies.Investigators said the suspect, 18-year-old Logan Raverty, was bragging about sexually battering a 13-year-old victim.During an investigation, detectives reviewed messages in which the suspect displayed predatory behavior and tried to “impregnate the juvenile victim to force the relationship to continue.”During a control phone call, Raverty acknowledged the teen’s age. He also shared numerous incidents of lewd and lascivious battery and expressed no intention to stop sexually battering the teen, according to deputies.Eventually, the teenage victim said she was sexually battered by Raverty multiple times.Marion County deputies said they proceeded to interview the suspect at his home, where he admitted all the claims.Raverty was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he remains without bond.Anyone with information on additional Raverty victims can contact Det.
