Handbags Under $500

We all love the gorgeous designer handbags, but most of us can’t afford to spend thousands of dollars on them. That doesn’t mean you can’t get an incredible, high-quality bag, though. There are several standout options under $500 below. These are all amazing, affordable designer bags that will make you feel sophisticated and chic but won’t break the bank!

If you ARE interested in purchasing a designer bag, Erin recently shared her thoughts on the classic Chanel 19 bag here.

#1) Furla Shoulder Bag

If you’re looking for a tote but want something a little different, this Furla bag is a wonderful option. We love the budget detail that’s an added and unexpected stylish detail. The shape is also really unique. It has pretty contrast stitching, sleek and smooth leather, and a roomy interior.

#2) Naghedi Tote

For something more casual and less structured, try this Naghedi bag. A Team Busbee member has it and loves it! It’s a basket-weave neoprene and would be perfect for a beach vacation but it’s also neutral and versatile enough to use during fall/winter too. This is the tote we would grab if we’re headed out the door to a kid’s sporting event or a full day of running errands.

#3) Coach Shoulder Bag

Coach is a designer brand that has really stepped it up over the past few years. The designs and silhouettes of the bags they’ve released recently are modern, sophisticated, and chic. This pebbled leather shoulder bag is a great, classic handbag if you want something that’s not huge but still carries more than just the essentials. It also has interior pockets and is perfectly divided for optimal organization.

#4) Florian London Bag

Try this Florian London bag for something smaller and more streamlined. We love the shape, smooth leather, and easy fold-over flap. It has a magnetic snap so it’s super easy to get things in and out of it. It has very minimal gold hardware, which makes it super versatile. Plus, the adjustable strap is also removable so you can carry it as a clutch too!

#5) Staud Shoulder Bag

Staud has been a hot designer handbag brand for the past few years and we love the streamlined, sleek designs. This shoulder bag is one of their most popular bags and comes in a bunch of colors but the brown or black will be the most versatile. We love the structure of the bag, the suede interior lining, and that it’s such a timeless, classic bag to have in your closet.

#6) Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag

There are SO many designer tote bags out there but if a tote doesn’t feel like you, consider a bucket bag! We love this bag… It has a cool drawstring style, beautiful leather, and it’s a great size! Drawstring bags were very trendy a few years ago but they’ve stuck around and it’s safe to say that this handbag is a classic!

#7) Tory Burch Tote

Tory Burch is a brand that really needs no introduction. The brand makes high-quality handbags at a more attainable price point. Don’t get us wrong…they’re still pretty pricey. But if you purchase a Tory Burch bag, you’ll have it forever because the quality is just that good! Especially if you purchase a super classic, sophisticated, structured handbag like this tote. It has pebbled leather, minimal gold hardware, and plenty of interior space and pockets.

#8) Reformation Shoulder Bag

Reformation has recently started making some really gorgeous, classic handbags that look very high-end and are high-quality. This bag has fun knotted details on the adjustable shoulder strap that give it a little something different. We love the smooth leather look, magnetic closure, and pretty tan color. Plus, this bag is produced via carbon-neutral manufacturing, which is pretty great!

#9) J. Crew Bag

  1. Crew is really having a moment right now and we are here for it! They have beautiful pieces at affordable prices…especially their accessories and handbags. This bag can be worn as a shoulder or crossbody bag and comes in multiple colors. We love the minimal but luxe-looking gold hardware and smooth leather. If you need a classic brown or black handbag, this is a wonderful option for under $200!

#10) Strathberry Crossbody Bag

Strathberry is the brand that became famous after Meghan Markle was seen sporting some of their handbags. Erin tried one of their bags and loved the quality. They have a wide range of styles at different price ranges but this crossbody bag is right under $500 and such a good wardrobe basic. We love the minimal hardware and simple silhouette. It also comes in a few other colors if you already have your classic brown crossbody covered!

#11) See by Chloe Saddle Bag

See by Chloe is another brand that Erin loves and has spoken about the quality many times. This small See by Chloe saddle bag is a great size if you need a crossbody that carries the essentials. We love the suede and leather combination and the gorgeous camel color. The leather trim really makes this bag look so cool.

#12) Loeffler Randall Shoulder Bag

How gorgeous is this dark, espresso-brown handbag?! The color is so good for fall, we love the structured silhouette, sleek look, and subtle hardware. The embossed Loeffler Randall logo is elegant and subtle.

#13) Marc Jacobs Bag

You’ve probably seen this or another color of this Marc Jacobs bag before. It’s one of the brand’s most popular handbags for good reason. The size is smaller so it’s perfect for all of the essentials. We love that it’s tri-colored with a pretty beige, taupe, and tan with black trim…making it super versatile. The sporty strap is also a cool touch that makes it a little more casual, which we love!

#14) DeMellier Croc-Embossed Bag

This gorgeous beige bag looks SO luxe. The gold hardware, the croc-embossed leather, the size…it’s all perfection! It has a magnetic closure and it’s easy to get things in and out of it. It’s also a great medium size so you can fit the essentials and a little more.

#15) Reformation Convertible Bag

This last bag is a fun option because it’s convertible! We love the cool, unique shape when the bag is carried as a shoulder bag. But when you pull the shoulder strap through one side, it turns into a cute, structured bucket bag (see how here). It also has the same luxe leather and knotted detail as the last Reformation bag we shared (#8).
