(KRON) — A 14-year-old Petaluma boy was arrested Wednesday night in connection to threats of violence directed at two high school campuses earlier in the day, the Petaluma Police Department announced Thursday.

According to police, the threats directed at Casa Grande High School and Petaluma High School suggested that “an act of violence would occur on a Friday afternoon.” Petaluma PD did not believe the threat to be credible, however stated that all threats are taken seriously and are thoroughly investigated.
