12-year-old missing out of Lakewood for over a week

DENVER (KDVR) — The Lakewood Police Department asked for the public’s help locating 12-year-old Aaliyah Heredia, who was last seen on April 2.

According to police, Aaliyah is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs about 120 pounds.

She has a scar on the right side of her abdomen and was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a pink shirt.

Police said she has been known to frequent the 2700 block of West Bates Avenue in Denver.

According to Lakewood PD, Aaliyah has a long history of running away, and there are major safety concerns due to her age. She does not have a cell phone with her.

She may also be planning to leave Colorado, police said.

Anyone who sees her or knows where she is has been asked to call 911 immediately and reference case number LK24-011023.
