The shooting happened on North Atlantic Avenue around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

PORTLAND, Ore. — One person is dead following a shooting in North Portland’s Arbor Lodge neighborhood early Wednesday morning. The shooting happened near North Atlantic Avenue and North Lombard Street.

The person who died was a man, according to a news release from the Portland Police Bureau. Officers found him deceased when they responded to the scene at around 5:30 a.m.

Portland police have not released any other information about the person who died or what happened before the deadly shooting. The suspect or suspects left the area before police arrived, according to the news release, and no arrests have been made.

North Atlantic Avenue is closed to traffic between North Buffalo Street and North Lombard Street. The PPB Homicide Unit is responding to investigate.
