1 found dead in Denver house fire

DENVER (KDVR) — One person was found dead after a house fire Sunday morning, according to the Denver Fire Department.

DFD said the fire happened at a single-family home near West 6th Avenue and Utica Street.

Smoke was showing upon arrival by fire crews.

Fire crews found and removed one victim from the fire, but that person was dead, DFD said.

The fire was under control as of 3:15 a.m., and the investigation was ongoing.
