  • King Charles is all smiles for first outing since royal family Christmas

    [ad_1]

King Charles was all smiles on Sunday, 4 January 2026, as he stepped out to attend a church service with Queen Camilla at Sandringham. The monarch, 77, donned a smart brown coat to brave the winter chill in Norfolk, where temperatures have dropped to -1 degree Celsius this weekend. Despite the cold, the King appeared in high spirits, pausing for an extra minute to share a laugh with Revd Canon Dr Paul Williams, a familiar face to the monarch during his winter stays at Sandringham.

Queen Camilla, 78, looked effortlessly chic for the occasion, accompanying her husband in a cream coat dress, suede knee-high boots, and a fur-trim hat. The outing marks their first of 2026 and is the first time they have been spotted in public since attending the same St Mary Magdalene church for the annual Christmas Day service and walkabout

Charles led the walkabout, alongside Camilla, who was joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The royal children were a hit with members of the public who interacted with the trio before getting selfies and offering them Christmas gifts.

Sources who witnessed the walkabout told HELLO! that Charlotte happily smiled and posed for selfies with the crowds who had gathered to celebrate Christmas Day with the royals. “She is such a little star,” they said.

Queen Camilla showed that she’s taking positive energy into the coming year as she stepped out and smiled brightly at onlookers. Her off-white coat dress was perfect for the occasion as it seemed to be made from wool, a fabric which contains crimped fibres that trap air and keep body heat in. The shining star of her look was a quilted Chanel flag bag.

It seemed word travelled fast that the King would be attending church on Sunday. Locals gathered to get a quick glimpse of the monarch before he headed inside, with one lady taking out her phone to capture the moment on camera.

  • Queen Camilla ‘furious’ as she breaks silence on attempted sexual assault incident

    [ad_1]

Her Majesty Queen Camilla has recalled being “so angry” and “furious” after a sexual assault which took place on a train when she was a teenager.

The topic came up during a wider conversation about women, violence and misogyny on Radio 4’s Today programme this morning, recorded in the Garden Room at Clarence House last month.

Queen Camilla was talking to former Prime Minister Teresa May, alongside BBC racing commentator John Hunt and his daughter Amy, whose family were murdered at their home.

Reflecting on her own attack, Her Majesty explained that she had “sort of forgotten” about her ordeal but was encouraged to speak up after hearing about what Mr Hunt and his eldest daughter Amy went through.

“I remember something that had been lurking in the back of my brain for a very long time,” the Queen said. “That, when I was a teenager, I was attacked on a train… I remember at the time being so angry.”

Giving further details of the harrowing event, Queen Camilla continued that the perpetrator was “someone I didn’t know,” explaining: “I was reading my book, and this boy, man, attacked me, and I did fight back.

Queen Camilla recalled the ordeal she went through as a teenager

“I remember getting off the train and my mother looking at me and saying, ‘Why is your hair standing on end?’, and ‘Why is a button missing from your coat?’

“I remember anger, and I was so furious about it, and it’s sort of lurked for many years. And I think, when all the subject about domestic abuse came up, and suddenly you hear a story like John and Amy’s, it’s something that I feel very strongly about.”

What happened to John and Amy Hunt?

The family of John and Amy – Louise Hunt, 25, her sister Hannah Hunt, 28, and their mother Carol Hunt, 61 – were killed by Kyle Clifford, 27 – Louise’s ex-partner – in a quiet cul-de-sac in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on July 9 last year.

John and Amy have since launched The Hunt Family Fund and held a gala in early December to launch the initiative. Discussing their bravery, Queen Camilla praised: “I’d just like to say, wherever your family is now, they’d be so proud of you both.

“And they must be from above smiling down on you and thinking, my goodness me, what a wonderful, wonderful father, husband, sister. They’d just be so proud of you both.”

    Royals speaking out

While this is the first time Her Majesty has spoken at length about her own assault publicly, the Queen has worked to highlight organisations supporting victims of rape and sexual assault for over ten years, undertaking several visits to learn more about the issues, meet survivors, and highlight the invaluable contribution made by the people and organisations working in this area.

In 2014, Her Majesty met actress Angelina Jolie to discuss her work on ending sexual violence in conflict, while during a tour of the Balkans in 2016, The Queen spoke to women who were raped during the Kosovan conflict, and who shared their harrowing stories.

More recently, in November 2022, the Queen hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace bringing together individuals and organisations who are working in the Violence Against Women space, during which she gave a speech taking of the growing issue of violence against women globally, and the hope which many of those attending offered survivors and future generations of women and girls.

Her work in the space was highlighted in a 2024 ITV documentary, Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors, which showed Camilla’s efforts to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence.

  • King Charles and royal family, minus Andrew, gather for Christmas at Sandringham

    [ad_1]

King Charles III and members of the royal family — minus his disgraced brother, the former Prince Andrew — walked to church for Christmas services Thursday morning on the king’s private Sandringham Estate, where they traditionally gather for the holiday.

Charles and Queen Camilla, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, and their children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, and their extended family attended the service at St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham, in Norfolk, about 100 miles north of London.

Andrew was not present for the holiday gathering, BBC News reported, in the wake of the scandal over his ties to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He did not attend last year either. In October, he was stripped of his remaining titles and honors, including prince, and is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Later in the day, the king’s annual Christmas Day speech to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth is expected to focus on the theme of pilgrimage.

His address was recorded at Westminster Abbey, the landmark known as the site of lavish coronations and royal weddings it has hosted for more than 1,000 years. The abbey is also the focus of an annual pilgrimage to the tomb of Edward the Confessor, which lies at the heart of the church. Edward, a monk-like monarch, was canonized as a saint in 1161.

The monarch’s annual holiday message is watched by millions of people in the U.K. and across the Commonwealth, a voluntary association of 56 independent nations, most of which have historic ties to Britain. The prerecorded speech is broadcast at 3 p.m. there, when many families are enjoying their traditional Christmas lunch.

The speech is one of the rare occasions when Charles, 77, can voice his own views and doesn’t seek guidance from the government. It usually has a strong religious framework, reflects current issues and sometimes draws on the monarch’s personal experiences.

This is Charles’ fourth Christmas speech since ascending to the throne after his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died in September 2022.

The address comes just two weeks after Charles made a deeply personal television appearance in which he said “good news” from his doctors meant that he would be able to reduce his treatment for cancer in the new year.

The king was diagnosed with a still undisclosed form of cancer in early 2024. Buckingham Palace says his treatment is now moving to a “precautionary phase” and his condition will be monitored to ensure his continued recovery.

During last year’s Christmas address, Charles honored care workers around the country and gave a special thanks to the doctors and nurses who supported him after his cancer diagnosis.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, also underwent treatment for cancer last year. She said in January that she was in remission after going through some “hard times” during her recovery. Kate, as she is widely called, has not shared details about what type of cancer it was.

She and her husband, Prince William, Prince of Wales and heir to the throne, have three children: 12-year-old Prince George of Wales, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte of Wales and 7-year-old Prince Louis of Wales.

  • Camilla Reportedly Made a Joke About Kate’s Cancer Amid Reports of Their ‘Icy’ Feud & ‘Tense’ Relationship

    [ad_1]

Queen Camilla might have made an unnecessary comment about Kate Middleton‘s cancer recovery. A new revelation from a royal source revealed how she felt about the Princess of Wales’ public announcement.

Kate had made a video about her cancer recovery in September 2024, and while Camilla was “deeply relieved” about her stepdaughter-in-law’s milestone, but a “senior Household source” claimed to the Daily Mail she joked to friends that the video was “like a shampoo commercial.”

The new revelation comes as Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla’s feud has gotten worse over the past couple of months. “What’s happening now feels like the fiercest clash we’ve seen between two senior royal women in years,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Camilla feels sidelined, while Kate’s growing confidence and visibility are unsettling her,” adding, “Both are aware that the balance of power is shifting – and neither is prepared to step back quietly.”

While King Charles and Kate Middleton were being treated for their respective cancers, Camilla reportedly took on more duties as a working royal. “Camilla worked hard to establish herself after years of criticism, and she doesn’t like the idea of being overshadowed,” an insider said. “Kate’s return has been polished, professional and very ‘queenly’ – it’s obvious she’s positioning herself for the future, and that’s making Camilla uneasy.”

Royal watchers have also observed that there is tension even in the quietest way. “It’s subtle, but it’s there – in which events they attend, how much coverage each gets and even the tone of official briefings. You can feel the competition,” a palace source said, with the relationship between the two described as “icy” and “impossible to ignore.”

“It genuinely feels like there are two queens in waiting – one already established and the other getting ready to take her place,” according to sources. “Everything appears cordial in public, but behind the scenes, the atmosphere is noticeably tense.”

  • William & Camilla Causing ‘Family Angst’ After Reports of the Queen’s ‘Icy’ Feud With Kate—The Prince Is ‘Smoldering on the Sidelines’

    [ad_1]

All eyes lately have been on the former Prince Andrew and his scandals. And when they haven’t, they’ve been on his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, or their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. But the royal family issues don’t stop there, and never have. In fact, it seems like with more eyes on the British royals these days, we are learning more and more about who they are and how they relate to each other. And not much of it is good.

The Daily Mail is now reporting that Queen Camilla and Prince William were instrumental in the decision to strip Andrew of his Prince title, with sources claiming William was “smoldering on the sidelines” over Andrew’s initial statement. Reports indicate Queen Camilla, meanwhile, was “really riled” by it and began “urging her husband” to take “decisive action” against his brother.

Related: Did William really cheat on Kate?

“[William] was fuming that the King had previously fudged dealing with Andrew and allowed him to make an earlier statement making him seem very honorable,” a source revealed. “The late Queen went to her grave believing in Andrew’s innocence in the Epstein scandal. It doesn’t fit well with the King to have to treat Andrew as harshly as he has to. William and Camilla take a harder line which has caused a lot of family angst.”

The disgraced former prince is set to leave Royal Lodge, which he has shared with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson since 2008, and will now live at Sandringham. His move is said to be funded by King Charles. Sarah Ferguson is reportedly moving somewhere else and will not continue living with Andrew.

All of this comes amid reports that things between Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla aren’t exactly great. “What’s happening now feels like the fiercest clash we’ve seen between two senior royal women in years,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Camilla feels sidelined, while Kate’s growing confidence and visibility are unsettling her,” explaining, “Both are aware that the balance of power is shifting – and neither is prepared to step back quietly.”

Camilla took on many more responsibilities when King Charles and Kate Middleton were sidelined with cancer, and reports indicate she has taken Middleton’s return to public duties and the spotlight that brings very hard.

Kate Middleton is, indeed, the future Queen, so the whole thing seems rather silly to begin with. But the two have reportedly pushed for a larger role as King Charles has continued his cancer treatment. “It’s subtle, but it’s there – in which events they attend, how much coverage each gets and even the tone of official briefings. You can feel the competition,” a palace source said, with reports even categorizing their relationship as “icy” and their issues as “impossible to ignore.”

What does that mean for William? Well, considering his not-so-great history with Camilla, it’s fair to say he’ll probably be on his wife’s side in whatever disagreement.

  • Kate & Camilla’s ‘Icy’ Feud Just Got a Lot Worse as the Queen Feels ‘Sidelined’ by the Princess’ Behavior—Inside Their ‘Noticeably Tense’ Relationship

    [ad_1]

When you marry, you don’t just marry the person you choose. In many ways, you’re also marrying their family and accepting that they will be part of your life for years to come. That is something that happened to both Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla, as the two married Prince William and King Charles respectively. And one of the relationships they’ve had to cultivate is with each other.

Recent reports, however, indicate that relationship is not very good. In fact, insiders claim it has deteriorated during the last few months, and is now hanging on by a thread.

Related: Did William really cheat on Kate?

Queen Camilla took on a larger role as both King Charles and Kate Middleton were sidelined with cancer last year. Now, Middleton has returned to public duties and ceding the spotlight is apparently been hard for Queen Camilla.

Things reportedly got worse during the summer, as the two pushed for a larger role as the King continued his recover. “It’s subtle, but it’s there – in which events they attend, how much coverage each gets and even the tone of official briefings. You can feel the competition,” a palace source said, with the relationship between the two described as “icy” and “impossible to ignore.”

And it all reportedly came to a head when Queen Camilla reportedly brushed Kate Middleton away during a conversation with first lady Melania Trump during the recent state visit to the UK. “Things were strained backstage, a source told RadarOnline. All eyes were on Kate, and Camilla was clearly aware of that. She was furious that the attention had slipped away from her and knew people would gossip about it later.”

But sources close to the Prince of Wales say Kate is not interested in any feuds. “Kate’s focused on her duties and her health,” a royal source said. “She’s not interested in rivalries, but she won’t be diminished either. She knows the public looks to her, and she takes that role seriously.”

Increasingly, it feels like the family is being divided into two camps, say sources, with William and Kate on one side, and Charles and Camilla on the other. “Those around the King are fiercely loyal, but he’s fully aware that his son’s moment is approaching. The real issue is how easily that handover will unfold,” another source said.

Reports have indicated that William’s plans to modernize the monarchy have clashed with his father’s love for tradition. The Prince of Wales cannot make any changes yet, as that’s not his place, but those in the know believe big changes will come as soon as he is King.

As for Kate and Camilla, “It genuinely feels like there are two queens in waiting – one already established and the other getting ready to take her place,” according to sources. And that means, “Everything appears cordial in public, but behind the scenes, the atmosphere is noticeably tense.”

It is, in many ways, the way of the world. Things change. The young take over. We’ll see how well this family can adjust.

  • ‘Dying’ Charles Is ‘Chasing Away’ Camilla Amid Reports They’re ‘Divorced in Everything But Name’—’History Can’t Be Rewritten’

    [ad_1]

King Charles’ illness has made him reconsider many things, and that seems to include his relationship with his younger son, Prince Harry. This is a pretty normal thing; being faced with mortality makes us think about the things we want to change before we’re gone. But that decision might be causing a different rift within the British royal family.

According to the Examiner, “The king knows history can’t be rewritten — Harry and Meghan left the royal family and he wrote Spare. But he wants to mend his relationship with his son before he dies.”

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

But that’s causing problems with the rest of his family. “By welcoming his second-born back into the fold, though, he’s chasing away his wife, who doesn’t seem to be as willing to forgive her stepson for all he’s said about her and her husband, and the heir to the throne.”

There are reports that Prince William also wants nothing to do with Harry, and that a reconciliation there might be more complicated.

All of this comes amid reports from RadarOnline.com that the King and Queen’s marriage is anything but good. In fact, recent reports talked about how Camilla was “irritating him beyond belief” amid reports that she requested a library be added to Buckingham Palace as part of its $499 million renovation. The place contains 775 rooms but has not had a library since King George IV donated the King’s Library to the British Museum in the early 19th century.

The source added, “She’s made it clear to Charles that this is her single, most important request. But he finds it frustrating. The size and expense of the renovation are already weighing heavily on him, and her demand for an additional room drives him to distraction.”

And that’s not the only recent report about the marriage having issues. A source told Radar Online in September that the couple are “divorced in everything but name” and the two lead “largely separate lives” to “keep up with appearances.” “They are putting on a united front in public, especially because Charles is ill, but behind the scenes it’s a very different picture,” the source explained.

Does that mean the two will get a divorce? Unlikely, the source said. “They remain committed in their own way, but it’s not the kind of marriage most people would recognize,” adding, “Charles is absorbed in his health and responsibilities, while Camilla prioritizes her time at Ray Mill. At this point, it’s the crown that binds them – not the relationship itself.”

Considering recent reports from the outlet that King Charles was “dying,” all of this makes sense, though Queen Camilla is still being heavily criticized for things like not accompanying King Charles to his vacation residence in Balmoral Castle for his annual summer vacation. What did she do instead? Well, Camilla took a solo vacation aboard the $40 million superyacht Zenobia in the Mediterranean off the coast of Greece.

“Who knows how much time Charles has left, and she takes a high-profile vacation without him? Queen Elizabeth – who never particularly cared for Camilla – must be rolling over in her grave,” Radar Online’s source said.

She’s staying away; he’s more interested in reconciling with his son. Doesn’t bode well.

  • Camilla Will ‘Never Forgive’ Harry’s ‘Cruel Assaults’ on Her Despite the Prince’s Reconciliation With Charles—His ‘Attacks’ Are ‘Personal’

    [ad_1]

It looks like Queen Camilla‘s relationship with Prince Harry will never be repaired. While there were green flag with the Duke of Sussex’s successful reunion with King Charles, it doesn’t look the same with his stepmother.

According to several sources like the Examiner, Camilla “will never forgive” Harry. “She’s still livid over what he wrote about her” in his memoir Spare, “and what he said in follow-up interviews.”

In Spare, Harry recounted how he viewed Camilla as a “villain” and how he felt when his father remarried. He wrote that he viewed her “like all the wicked stepmothers in storybooks,” noting that William “long harbored suspicions about the Other Woman.”

“I had complex feelings about gaining a step parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar,” Harry wrote. “In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she’d be less dangerous if she was happy?”

According to some sources, Camilla has no intentions to reconcile. “Harry’s attacks felt very personal to her,” a source told RadarOnline. “Camilla has endured criticism for much of her life, but to have Charles’ own son describe her as calculating and a threat is beyond what she can accept. She thinks those words caused lasting damage.”

“To her, Harry’s remarks went beyond rudeness – they struck at her character,” another insider told the gossip site. “Camilla spent years slowly earning trust within the family and from the public. His accusations tore open old wounds she believed were finally closed.”

Despite how Camilla feels, her husband doesn’t want to burn bridges. “Charles finds the situation agonizing,” a friend of the king said. “He makes efforts to reach out to Harry, but Camilla always brings him back to the hurtful passages in the memoir. It’s the sticking point that makes healing the rift so hard.”

Another source added, “Camilla often stresses that Harry and Meghan stepped away from their duties, and she uses that to bolster her case. Whenever Charles shows signs of softening, she reminds him of the attacks directed at her.”

And it doesn’t seem like the grudge will go away. “In public she puts on a gracious face, but privately the resentment remains – and it’s unlikely she’ll ever let it go.”

In an interview with Good Morning America after the books publication, Harry clarified Michael Strahan that there wasn’t harsh feelings towards Camilla. “We haven’t spoken for a long time. I love every member of my family, despite the differences,” Harry said. “So when I see her, we’re perfectly pleasant with each other. She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother. I see someone who married into this institution, and done everything she can to improve her own reputation and her own image, for her own sake.”

Harry spoke positively of his reunion with his father, and considered bringing his kids to his homeland. “Yes, I would. This week has definitely brought that closer,” he said during an interview with The Guardian.

During the same interview, Prince Harry was asked about the revelations made in his memoir, about his family, and said, “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” he explained. “I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative,” he added. “The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.”

  • William & Camilla’s Relationship Takes Turn for the Worse After She Reportedly ‘Humiliated’ Kate Amid Their Rumored ‘Tension’—It Was ‘Uncalled For’

    [ad_1]

The relationship between Prince William and Queen Camilla has never been exactly described as warm. The two have been cordial, but there have long been reports that William doesn’t really get along with his stepmother and that he even asked his father not to marry her before King Charles decided to go ahead with the marriage. And now, there are new reports of tension between Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton that seem poised to make everything worse.

A source exclusively told Examiner that the issues between the women are making things uncomfortable for everyone. “Camilla has been extremely kind and supportive towards Kate throughout her recent struggles, but she’s territorial by nature as well as prickly,” the source said. “It annoys her to no end there’s this narrative that the Waleses can do no wrong and that Kate can swan around whenever she feels like it, waving her magic wand and taking a self appointed bow as the most popular member of the monarchy.”

The source even said that the Queen had gone as far as to remind Middleton that “she’s calling the shots for now” and that “It’s not [Kate] or Prince William’s place or right to be throwing their weight around or barking orders.”

But this, exactly, has reportedly been a source of tension according to sources. “From Kate’s point of view Camilla needs to calm down and stop being so brittle and annoying,” the source explained. “The way she behaved in front of everyone [pushing Kate away and snapping] was uncalled for and it raised William’s hackles, too. His relationship with his stepmother has really evolved since those difficult early years but the fact she’s now disrespecting his wife is putting it to the test again, big time.”

This all comes after recent reports that the relationship between Camilla and Kate had taken a turn from the worse during the recent state visit from US President Donald Trump. “The tension was impossible to ignore,” an insider told Closer. “Every gesture and every colour choice felt like a power move. It was Kate who drew the attention, and that didn’t go down well with Camilla. From the moment Kate arrived, she proved herself to be the real power player.”

According to reports, the problem was that all eyes were on Middleton. “She completely outshone Camilla and everyone noticed it. There were moans and groans behind the scenes at how well Kate was doing, because everyone knew it would go down like a lead balloon at the debrief afterwards. Kate showed who the real star of the show is, and it was impossible not to notice the contrast.”

But the specific problem came after the Queen dismissed Middleton after she escorted first lady Melania Trump to greet her when the President and first lady first arrived. “It was subtle, but Kate felt sidelined,” the source said. “She’s worked hard to position herself as the monarchy’s future, and being asked to literally move aside was humiliating. She won’t have it going forward.”

Not a good sign for a relationship that has been more or less on decent terms for the last few years. That goes both for Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton, and Queen Camilla and Prince William.
