    RRR (Rise, Roar, and Revolt) made its theatrical premiere on March 25, 2022, and received a massive response from audiences worldwide. It not only grossed a remarkable collection but also became the highest-grossing Indian film globally in 2022. Recently, RRR’s official distributor, Pen Studios, teased its rerelease.

    Set against the backdrop of the British Raj, the film follows the story of two fictional Indian revolutionaries fighting against the British. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, it features N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Additionally, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and others were seen in supporting roles.

    Made on a hefty budget, RRR opened with around $28.7 million worldwide on its first day, marking the highest opening day for an Indian film. It earned approximately $170 million worldwide during its theatrical run.

    Will Jr. NTR & Ram Charan’s RRR be rereleased in theatres?

    Recently, the official film distributor of RRR took to X (formerly Twitter) and engaged the audience by asking, “Guysssss Full form of #RRR?. After active participation from the audience, the studio later replied, “RRR – RE – RELEASE.” This indicates that makers are planning for its rerelease in theaters. However, the official date has not been announced yet.

    For those unaware, Pen Studios has acquired RRR’s theatrical rights for the North Indian Market, including all languages. Additionally, the company holds electronic, digital, and satellite rights for Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

    Fan speculation suggests that RRR might be scheduled for rerelease on May 20, coinciding with Jr. NTR’s birthday. Meanwhile, Jr. NTR is gearing up for his upcoming film, Devara: Part 1, set to be released in October 2024.

    Drawing from the genre of science fiction, GOAT marks Vijay’s 68th film. Written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, Vijay leads the cast in dual roles, portraying the antagonist as well as the protagonist in the film. The cast also includes Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and others.

Initially, the makers had planned for an August 15 release but rescheduled it due to the release of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.

    Furthermore, recent reports from OTTplay confirmed that Netflix has secured the digital streaming rights. Meanwhile, the popular banner Phars Films has acquired overseas rights for a substantial amount. However, an official announcement regarding the OTT release date is yet to be made.

    Aside from this, Vijay recently announced his plans to contest the 2026 elections with his new political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. He expressed his aim, stating, “I am aiming for a corruption-free, progressive, and secular government, considering the current political climate that divides people by religion and caste, and one could witness corruption everywhere.”

The director revealed that he has already completed 60 percent of the movie and it will go on floors by November or December. He added that the movie’s filming would go faster than his previous ones.

    As the director was asked about the fans’ expectations of his movie, he said, “Frankly, I am not thinking about that. I never thought about it for Animal either. I worry about my writing and how I am going to execute it. That’s the most painful process. If you take pressure, you will end up doing what you have already done. That won’t work also.”

    He later teased how Spirit will be a bigger movie. He said, “The pressure is a made-up thing. Yes, Spirit is going to be bigger than both Arjun Reddy and Animal. The producer is going to put Rs 300+ crore (over $36 million). That is there. I always look into how the producer is going to recover that money. I make sure the producer makes money and then makes another film.” Vanga added that he is sure Spirit will make about $18 million on its opening day.

    The entire room erupts in cheers, celebrating the success of the entire squadron, particularly Arjun Dev’s. His belief and determination to protect his country helped eliminate the threat. Although Aahna does not agree with his ideas, he emerges victorious neverthless.

    What happens to Yash Sharma?

    When Yash Sharma’s aircraft crashed, it was assumed that he had died in action. However, at the end of Operation Valentine, it was confirmed that Yash did survive the crash. His tracker was active, but his aircraft had crashed in Pakistan. The Prime Minister of India declared that if Pakistan wanted peace, they should return Yash.

    The government further declared that if they failed to do so by the next day, India would take action. For this, the Indian Air Force had already been given the freedom to act accordingly. Consequently, the Pakistani government had no choice but to agree as they had failed twice and were not in the position to negotiate. In the end, Yash Sharma returned to India and was hailed as a hero.

    Pankaj Tripathi’s Main Atal Hoon is a biographical film that follows the life and political journey of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Directed by Ravi Jadhav, the film was theatrically released on January 19, 2024, and received positive reviews.

    Atal ji is known for his politics and poems. At a young age, he found inspiration in Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS). He was deeply delighted by the party’s ideals and drew political motivation from them. By 1944, Atal had already embraced revolutionary ideals opposing British rule.

    Golwalkar invited Atal to Lucknow to assist in managing a printing press called Rashtra Dharma, which was aimed at bridging caste divisions and fostering unity. However, the press, acting as a mouthpiece for the RSS, fell victim to riots.

    In response, Atal sought counsel from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. He explained how their propaganda had attracted the attention of Central Minister Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Mukherjee expressed his intention to resign from the government and join the Akhil Bhartiya Jana Sangh. This further shaped Atal’s political trajectory.

    What happened after Congress came to power?

    The Akhil Bhartiya Jana Sangh gradually started winning in different territories. However, when Atal secured a seat in the Lok Sabha, the party had only four representatives. Meanwhile, during the reign of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India faced many difficulties from China and Pakistan.

    In 1965, China’s attack resulted in the loss of 3,000 Indian soldiers. Shortly after, Pakistan launched an assault, leading to public outcry and demands for Shastri’s resignation. Amidst the turmoil, Shastri signed the Tashkent Treaty with Pakistan. However, his sudden death the following day under mysterious circumstances raised questions.

    Upon assuming office as Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi aimed to sideline the Jana Sangh party. However, the untimely demise of Deen Dayal Upadhyay at Mughal Sarai station, under unclear circumstances, hinted at possible Congress interference. With the party leaderless, Atal took charge, determined to expose the true nature of the Congress regime and address the suffering endured by the people.

    Subsequently, the Allahabad High Court found Indira guilty of electoral malpractice in the Bareilly elections, disqualifying her from holding any public office for six years. In response, Indira Gandhi declared a state emergency, which caused chaos in the country. During the Emergency, the government imposed several restrictions on civil liberties, journalism, and artists. Opposition party leaders were arrested under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA).

    For 21 months, the country faced atrocities, during which authorities sent thousands of people to jail, many died, and many became victims of atrocities. The emergency finally ended two years later on March 21, 1977, with the announcement of elections.

    What did Atal do after becoming the PM?

    At one point, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s lowering attendance at party meetings sparked concern among party members, fearing his potential withdrawal from party affairs. But ultimately, he stood in the presidential election and won with 182 seats. Subsequently, he assumed office as the 10th Prime Minister of India. Upon assuming power, Vajpayee immediately initiated measures for the nation’s advancement.

    One of his notable achievements was overseeing the successful execution of the Pokhran nuclear tests under the guidance of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, establishing India as a global nuclear power. He also endeavored to maintain positive relations with Pakistan, exemplified by his historic bus journey from Delhi to Lahore.

    In conclusion, Atal Bihari Vajpayee prioritized national progress over personal political gains in his legacy. While the biopic, Main Hoon Atal, may omit certain events from Vajpayee’s life, it truly represents what a real leader should be.

HanuMan having a 50-day run in 150 theatres gives me more confidence. My first film, Awe, is both a commercial and critical success.     Joseph first tries to convince Selva that he didn’t kill his brother Benji, but because of Kiruba’s attack, Benji couldn’t survive. Selva didn’t realize the evil motives of Joseph. Joseph knows that he will not be able to crush Kiruba alone so he uses youth against him. He even knows that Kiruba wouldn’t think twice before killing him.

    Selva and his buddies had already developed an enmity against the Karthi, as they were in rivalry after Selva liked a girl. Joseph intended to peddle drugs to Selva to take revenge on Kiruba. He used Selva and his friends to fight Kiruba.

    Fight Club: Did Selva kill both Joseph and Kiruba?

    With time, the fight between Selva and Karthi becomes intense. Karthi and his men wanted to teach Selva a lesson, but Kiruba stopped them from getting involved in minor fights because this would spoil his political image. Boundaries were divided between both gangs, and Selva and his friends didn’t allow Karthi’s fellows to enter the field.

    The story took an unexpected turn when Selva and his gang engaged in a fight against Karthi and his men. This resulted in Robert’s brother dying in the hospital. Robert couldn’t bear this pain and Joseph realized that this was the perfect time to end Kiruba’s reign. Joseph supplied weapons to Robert to kill Kiruba but the plan backfired and Kiruba killed Robert.

    Mani and Murthy told Selva about Robert’s death and how Joseph used Robert’s anger against Kiruba. Selva recognized the evil intentions of Joseph. He crossed all the boundaries in anger and killed both Kiruba and Joseph. He believed that Kiruba and Joseph were the main reasons that ruined the youngster’s life in the town.

    In the end, Selva was sentenced to short-term imprisonment as he was a juvenile. He also got the defense of the mantle element of Benji’s death. After serving his sentence, Selva returned to his home. On the other hand, Karthi has taken the place of Kiruba after his death

    Even on weekdays, Merry Christmas held its ground. Monday’s business amounted to $198 thousand, while Tuesday contributed an additional $156 thousand to the overall box office collection. On the whole, Katrina Kaif starrer’s six-day total is a whopping $1.66 million.

    The success of Sriram Raghavan’s directorial can be attributed to its positive reviews from both critics and audiences.     The character poster features Deepika looking sharp and fierce. Dressed in an Air Force uniform, she is sporting a pair of round sunglasses. The poster also reveals the name of her character as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni. 

    Recently, Hrithik Roshan also revealed his character poster from Fighter on Instagram. His character’s name is Patty, aka Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania. The social media caption read, “Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Call Sign: Patty. Designation: Squadron Pilot, Unit: Air Dragons. Fighter Forever.”

    As per reports, director Siddharth Anand wants the film to be an unforgettable theatrical experience. Fighter will release in the 3D and IMAX 3D formats as the design of the action sequences and jets aims to make an impact in both formats. While it will be the first Hrithik Roshan film to release in 3D, it will be the second 3D feature film after Padmaavat for Deepika Padukone.

    The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the pre-production of the film. It was initially set for a release on September 30, 2022. Ramon Chibb, an ex-army officer and writer, has co-written the film along with Siddharth Anand.

    What happened on the long drive in Operation Romeo?

    The story kicks off with Aditya and Neha going on a long night drive to celebrate Neha’s birthday. During the long drive, the former asks the latter for a kiss. She averts the proposal by pointing out they are in the middle of a road, hinting that people can spot them.

    Aditya was keen on sharing an intimate moment so he took her to a hospital’s parking spot, which was expected to give them more privacy. As soon as they are about to indulge, their car window is pounded. A man named Mangesh Jhadhav had recorded the duo on his phone and threatened to expose their actions.

    Mangesh is not alone, he was accompanied by another man named Patil. The pair posed as policemen and demanded $419 as a bribe to not arrest them. Aditya was aware of how conservative Neha’s parents are so he agreed to pay the sum. Because he didn’t want the video to be sent to her parents. Aditya asked if they could drive to a nearby ATM as he wasn’t carrying that kind of cash.

    Afterward, upon reaching the spot, Patil tags along with Aditya inside the ATM. However, Mangesh decides to stay with Neha. Observing that, the former asked the latter if he would also like to tag along, but he refused. As soon as Aditya withdraws the cash, Mangesh locks himself in the car with Neha. The Operation Romeo plot thickens because of this very act.

    Mangesh soon enough gets out of the car, takes the money, and leaves. The boyfriend perplexed with what just happened keeps on pestering Neha about what happened inside the car. She refuses to answer.

    What happened inside the car?

    Aditya safely drops Neha at her hostel and again inquires about what really happened. She remains silent which edges the boyfriend more to get to the depths of the truth. In some way or other, Aditya spots Mangesh again and starts following him. During the pursuit, he discovered the latter lied about being a police officer. In reality, he was an ambulance driver. Further infuriated by this revelation he hatches a plan in order to know what really happened.

    The boyfriend takes drastic measures, including confronting Mangesh at his home and involving his family in pursuit of answers. Through a tense confrontation, Aditya coerces Mangesh into revealing that he attempted to molest Neha by trying to kiss her. However, by the end, he comes to the realization that Neha successfully defended herself.

    With the truth finally unveiled, Aditya seeks out Neha letting her know that he finally knows the truth and wants to marry her, what he originally planned to do on her birthday. However, Neha rejects the proposal and points out that his actions so far show his love is conditional.

    Posing a pivotal question that if hypothetically Mangesh had succeeded in harming her then would he still ask her to marry him? His hesitance in answering ultimately revealed his pursuit of truth was not in good faith but rather a personal agenda.

    Operation Romeo is currently streaming only on Netflix.
