HUAWEI has opened pre-orders for the new Pura 90s Series in the Philippines, with prices starting at PHP54,999. The flagship lineup combines upgraded imaging hardware, AI-powered photography features, 5G connectivity, fast charging, and new design options.
The series consists of the HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max and Pura 90s Pro, with the Pro Max positioned as the top imaging model. HUAWEI is again placing mobile photography at the center of the Pura line, while expanding its AI, connectivity, and cross-device capabilities.
200MP telephoto camera leads the imaging system
The HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max features a 200MP Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera built around a 1/1.28-inch sensor. HUAWEI describes it as the first 200MP RYYB sensor and pairs it with CIPA 7.0 image stabilization for handheld telephoto shooting.
The phone also carries a 50MP Ultra Lighting HDR Camera with a 3-in-1 Ultra Lighting Prism and a claimed dynamic range of up to 16 EV. This system is designed to retain more information in bright highlights and darker areas when shooting scenes with challenging lighting.
Across the Pura 90s Series, the second-generation True-to-Color Camera is intended to improve color accuracy and expand color gamut processing. HUAWEI says the system is designed to produce more natural-looking colors across landscapes, portraits, and everyday photography.
AI tools assist with shooting and editing
The upgraded AI Composition feature analyzes scenes and provides framing references and on-screen visual guides based on photography principles. It is designed to help users adjust their position and composition when shooting subjects such as people, food, landscapes, and architecture.
AI De-Glare can remove reflections and glare from glass, windows, or screens in captured images. AI Move allows users to isolate, reposition, resize, or duplicate subjects within an image, while automatically filling the space left behind.
Objects can also be moved between images, with the system adjusting lighting, shadows, and edges to better match the new background.
New Rhythm of Color design
The Pura 90s Series introduces HUAWEI’s Rhythm of Color design direction, characterized by flat-edged frames and layered color treatments.
The Pura 90s Pro Max is available in Orange Ocean, Blazing Purple, Blush Gold, and Graphite Black. Orange Ocean uses what HUAWEI describes as a Dual-Tone Gradient Mid-Frame, while Blazing Purple transitions between shades inspired by dusk and night.
The Pura 90s Pro is offered in Orange Soda, Guava Soda, Coconut White, and Mulberry Black.
5G, Celia AI, and cross-OS sharing
Both models support 5G connectivity, with HUAWEI claiming improvements in signal recovery, weak-coverage performance, and upload and download speeds.
The updated Celia AI assistant can handle functions such as reminders, message drafting, calls, weather checks, and ride-hailing through voice commands. The series also supports cross-OS sharing with iOS devices for transferring photos, videos, and documents.
HUAWEI AppGallery provides access to commonly used services including Google Workspace, BDO, BPI, GCash, Grab, Angkas, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, according to the company.
6,000mAh battery and fast charging
The Pura 90s Series is powered by a 6,000mAh battery. The Pura 90s Pro Max supports 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge and 80W wireless charging, while the Pura 90s Pro supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
HUAWEI says the Pro Max can reach 85% charge in 30 minutes using its supported wired charging system.
The Pro Max also uses Anti-Reflection and Scratch-Resistant Kunlun Glass, which the company says is designed to reduce glare, resist scratches and fingerprints, and improve drop resistance.
Philippine pricing and pre-order details
The HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro Max 512GB is priced at PHP79,999. The HUAWEI Pura 90s Pro 256GB costs PHP54,999, while the 512GB version is priced at PHP64,999.
Pre-orders run from August 7 to August 19, 2026. Selected bank credit or debit card users may receive up to PHP5,000 off, while bundled offers listed in the release include a HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 worth PHP3,999, a Pura gift box worth PHP3,999, and premium services valued at up to PHP6,499.
HUAWEI is also offering online vouchers through its own store and participating e-commerce platforms during the promotional period.
The company is separately accepting entries for the HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2026 until August 16, 2026, with a grand prize worth USD10,000.
