Barry Levy named next managing partner of Rivkin Radler, succeeding Evan Krinick | Long Island Business News

The partners at Rivkin Radler, a law firm headquartered in Uniondale, have elected Barry Levy as its new managing partner, effective Feb. 1. Levy will succeed Evan Krinick, who has led the firm since 2013. Krinick will remain active in the firm, continuing to represent clients and participate in management initiatives.

“It has been a privilege to be the managing partner of this great organization,” Krinick said in a firmwide announcement. “After more than 12 years as managing partner, it is time to hand the reins to another partner.”

Levy, in a written statement, said he was “truly honored by his partners’ confidence in his ability to lead the firm forward.” He added that “working under Evan’s leadership over the past 12 years has served as a tremendous blueprint in terms of continuing to grow the firm while maintaining its unique culture.”

A trial attorney, Levy has litigated hundreds of cases in the insurance, healthcare and financial services sectors. He advises institutional and individual clients on complex business and regulatory challenges, helping them develop and implement strategies for risk prevention, management and recovery.

Krinick, a trial and appellate attorney, joined Rivkin Radler in 1987. He has represented clients in a wide range of commercial, banking, healthcare, municipal/public authority, tort liability, insurance and insurance matters. He has argued more than 20 cases before the New York Court of Appeals. He has long represented, among others, the Long Island Power Authority and FourLeaf Federal Credit Union on a broad range of issues.

Krinick looked back on his tenure as managing partner.

“There are many ways to measure success,” Krinick said.

“I think that our greatest success is that we have together created a work environment that is welcoming, supportive and friendly,” he added. “We have the best people working here. I thank each of them for their support and encouragement over the years.”
