Police said Friday the YMCA summer camp counselor accused of sexually assaulting a girl at a summer day camp in Morgan Hill earlier this month had allegedly done the same thing to a second girl that same day.
Morgan Hill police said the report came on July 9, the same day 25-year-old Anthony Joseph Ramos of Gilroy, a YMCA summer camp counselor, was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
According to authorities, the second incident occurred while the 10-year-old victim was attending the YMCA summer day camp on a field trip to the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center on the same day as the first victim.
Officials said Ramon has been working with YMCA since Aug. 6, 2024. After the first incident, authorities said Ramon was immediately placed on leave.
In light of the new report, Ramos was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor on Thursday, according to police. Authorities said he has since posted bail and was released from custody.
