Taylor Swift’s Possible Maid of Honor Identified After She Snubbed 3 A-List Friends From the Guest List

Legendary singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is notoriously private, yet details from her upcoming wedding to Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce keep leaking online.

Much of the guest list has reportedly been confirmed, with the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Benson Boone, Andy Reid, and Cara Delevingne expected to attend. But three people who aren’t expected to attend? Swift’s longtime pal Blake Lively, as well as Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller.

However, one important piece of their big day has yet to be revealed: Swift’s maid of honor.

It’s been reported that Swift’s A-list best friends Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid are bridesmaids, but who will be by the pop icon’s side as her maid of honor?

As of now, Swifties theorize that the singer’s childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, will be the maid—actually matron—of honor. Swift stood by Abigail’s side when she married her now ex-husband, photographer Matt Lucier, in 2017.

Swift and Abigail have been friends for more than a decade, dating back to their high school days in the mid-2000s. Most fans know that Swift wrote her hit song “Fifteen” about her and Abigail’s freshman year of high school, even mentioning her by name in the second verse.

“You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail / And soon enough, you’re best friends,” she sings. “Laughin’ at the other girls who think they’re so cool / We’ll be outta here as soon as we can.”

Abigail even appeared in the music video for “Fifteen,” as well as the music videos for Swift’s tracks “Picture to Burn,” “I’m Only Me When I’m With You,” “22,” and many more.

Over the years, Swift and Abigail have shown their support for each other. Abigail has attended various events with Swift, including the 2015 Grammys.

Swift has also shown love for her best friend—in April 2014, she gifted Abigail a sweet, homemade card for her 24th birthday. “Once upon a time, there was a girl named Abigail whose spirit was as fiery as her hair,” Swift wrote. “She never did anything the way they told her to, fell hopelessly in love, and turned 24 without one single regret.”

Abigail shared a photo of the card on Instagram, writing in the caption, “Words cannot describe how grateful I am for your friendship (and the absolutely breathtaking package of presents I just received). You truly are the most wonderful human being. From the bottom of my heart…thank you @taylorswift I love you.”
