  • Comedian Isabel Hagen Inks Veeps Deal For First Hour Special ‘Isabel Hagen At The Bitter End’

    [ad_1]

EXCLUSIVE: Comedian and classical musician Isabel Hagen is set to unveil her first hour-long special, Isabel Hagen at the Bitter End, on the streaming platform Veeps on January 28th.

Isabel Hagen at the Bitter End features Hagen’s sharp joke writing and off-beat point of view mixed with classical viola playing and original songs. Drawing from her life as a working classical musician with anxiety, she blends existential humor and raunchy anecdotes with Bach and Mozart.

Hagen filmed the special at the Bitter End in New York City in May. In addition to writing, directing, and performing it, she produced alongside Torrance Shepherd, with Will Canzoneri and Zac James Nicholson serving as co-producers.

“Isabel is a singular talent who perfectly embodies the intersection of world-class comedy and live music,” said Veeps Head of Comedy Bart Coleman. “At Veeps, we are always looking for specials that feel at home alongside our concert programming, and the way Isabel weaves her viola mastery into her stand-up is both seamless and incredibly fresh. We are excited to give ‘Isabel Hagen at The Bitter End’ a global stage, as it represents exactly the kind of cross-genre performance our audience loves.”

A NYC-based performer recently profiled on Deadline’s Comedy Means Business podcast, Hagen started stand-up comedy immediately after earning her Bachelors and Masters degrees in viola performance from The Juilliard School. While at Juilliard, she dealt with a repetitive stress injury in her wrist which forced her to take time off from playing, which sparked her desire to try stand-up comedy.

Now, Hagen has two performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon under her belt and just premiered her debut feature On a String (which she wrote, directed, and starred in) at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, where it won Best Screenplay in a U.S. Narrative Feature. She has also been named a New Face of Comedy at Just For Laughs Montreal and has performed sets for both Don’t Tell Comedy and Dry Bar Comedy.

Hagen still maintains a career as a musician, most recently as a touring member of the band Vampire Weekend for their Only God Was Above Us tour. She is represented by Omnipop Talent Group and Reliant Talent Agency.

4 Songs We Can’t Wait To See On Fall Out Boy’s MSG 2our Dust Stream On Veeps

    [ad_1]

Whether or not you went to Fall Out Boy’s 2OUR Dust tour, we’re all having post-concert depression over it. Fortunately, Veeps will be streaming Fall Out Boy’s MSG 2our Dust show starting on June 7th. And the best part? It’ll be available for a year, so you can rewatch it as many times as you want. Before we begin, we’d just like to say there are setlist “spoilers” ahead. So if you want to be completely surprised, we have more FOB content for you. With that being said, let’s dive in.

‘Just One Yesterday (feat. Daisy Grenade)’

If you weren’t aware, ‘Just One Yesterday’ is one of our favorites from Save Rock And Roll. And if you also weren’t aware, Daisy Grenade is one of our faves here at THP. So for them to collab for this performance is absolutely everything to us. You better believe that we’ll be losing our minds over this one and watching it over and over.

    ‘Slow Down’

FOB always nail any song they cover. It’s just the truth. So naturally, we were screaming over this The Academy Is… cover. But the fact William Beckett was also on stage and performed with them? Unreal. It may be 2024, but it definitely felt like the mid-2000s for the entirety of the song.

    ‘So Much (For) Stardust’

This is a song we were hoping that would make the Magic 8 ball for the original (Tour) Dust run. Well, they finally delivered the title and final track off of So Much (For) Stardust. Better late than never. So you know that we’re going to be singing this one at the top of our lungs, even if it’s not in an arena setting. Sorry in advance to our neighbors.

‘Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part to Save the Scene and Stop Going to Shows)’

We know there was some controversy with this one among fans with this being their Magic 8 Ball song. However, we are all for it. Nothing gets us more hyped than hearing a Fall Out Boy song that’s only been played a little more than just a handful of times since its release. Everyone that got to hear this song live at some point is definitely the universe’s favorite people. But for those of us who weren’t as lucky, we’ll take the stream.

If you haven’t already, be sure to get your tickets so you don’t miss Fall Out Boy’s MSG 2our Dust Stream On Veeps! What do you think of our picks? And what are your favorite songs off of MSG’s setlist? Let us know in the comments, on Facebook, Instagram, or by tweeting us @thehoneypop!
