  • Ana Navarro Goes Uncensored in Podcast Called ‘Bleep!’

    [ad_1]

Ana Navarro is free, finally free, to say what she wants. And she wants listeners of her new podcast to know it right from the start.

The title of the new show, “Bleep! with Ana Navarro,” lets audience members know they’re in for an unfiltered version of the popular commentator, who appears regularly on CNN and ABC’s “The View.” The program launched Monday.

“I can’t cuss on TV,” she acknowledges in a recent interview. Even so, she adds, “there’s a lot of s–t in the world that requires, that merits a good cussing.”

Navarro is one of a growing line of popular analysts and commentators keeping their feet in two different worlds. One is the traditional-media news sources and the other is the growing digital-media realm, where many are trying to set up new offerings in hopes of catering to a younger audience that tends to get more of its information from social outlets and streaming venues.

Navarro says she is eager “to form a sense of community” among people who believe the current news cycle is “as insane as it’s ever been in my lifetime.” “People tell me they are sad. They can’t sleep. They feel helpless. They feel hopeless,” she says. She hopes her program will give people a new source of conversation. “A lot of people are feeling alone and overwhelmed,” she adds, “I think it’s important to have that feeling that there are more of us than we think, and we are in things together.”

The weekly podcast is the latest project for Navarro, who has pivoted from working in and for Republican administrations to charting a more centrist positioning in her commentary and analysis work. “Bleep!” is the first new show to launch under iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network and Hyphenate Media Group’s joint podcast slate, and is executive produced by Eva Longoria, who launched Hyphenate in 2023.

“Eva is one of my best friends,” says Navarro. “We have conversations that are very truthful. We talk about politics. We talk about life. We talk about our families, our history and our heritage.” The idea for the podcast “grew out of those conversations.”

Navarro will use “Bleep” to point out the courageous and cowardly, and to discuss things that offer the audience respite. “This last year has been hard on a lot of people and we have to give ourselves grace and the ability to find some joy,” she says. “Joy is most definitely a form of resistance” and can help “interrupt the barrage of s–t” that people grapple with every week.

  • The Women of The View Often Disagree. And Then Savannah Chrisley Joined the Panel

    [ad_1]

By design, The View is designed to dig up controversy. The spirited discussions that define the long-running ABC show (which sometimes bubble over into full on arguments) are a huge part of its appeal, and its hosts are all aware of that. Which is why it’s kind of big news that last week they all agreed on something — the permanent hosts, anyway.

Due to long-term host Alyssa Farah Griffin recently giving birth, the influencer, former reality television star, and daughter of pardoned criminals, Savannah Chrisley, has joined as an interim host. Chrisley is best known for, well, she isn’t that known. But she is rich, Christian, and Republican, so because she wants to be television, she gets to be. However, she was in for a rude awakening when she tried to broadcast a known falsehood about democratic congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, perhaps because she forgot she wasn’t on Fox and actually needed to back up the things she was saying with evidence.

The Chrisley Knows Best star turned to the MAGA crowd when it came to freeing her parents. Todd and Julie Chrisley were both in prison for 12 counts, including conspiracy to commit bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion. They barely served their sentence and a lot of their time was spent with their daughter defending them and complaining about their treatment in prison. Now, she is a talking head on The View and a controversial one at that.

The AOC conversation that shocked viewers

Her first big controversy started with the hosts discussing an incident at the Munich Security Conference on 13 February, where the usually eloquent AOC gave an uncharacteristically scattered reply. Although falling short of her usually high standard of public speaking, it was still more understandable than the vast majority of Donald Trump speeches, something The View co-host Joy Behar pointed out.

Chrisey countered that Trump would at least “recover” from his mishaps, which is true in the same way going under the guillotine would help someone recover from a headache. At that point Whoopi Goldberg, who was playing moderator in the discussion, noted that Trump was the president, so should always be held to a higher standard, to which Chrisey’s conservative training kicked in and the mistruths began.

“AOC, though, is also the Democrats’ pick for next election,” she claimed, despite AOC confirming she had no desire to run in 2028. This was picked up on by the other four women on screen, leading to the rare mass-agreement between the hosts. It’s not quite a sign of the apocalypse, but it’s definitely not something you see every day, and long may it continue.

Chrisley is vastly unqualified for her temporary hosting job and it doesn’t seem to be starting off too well.

  • ‘The View’ co-host ‘scared’ over Sotomayor response on Trump potentially seeking a third term

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin said Tuesday that her show’s interview with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor scared her because of what the justice said about President Donald Trump.

Hostin claimed that Sotomayor’s answer on whether Trump could secure a third White House term disturbed her. Though the justice told the hosts that the 22nd Amendment prevented Trump from seeking a third term, Sotomayor noted that it had never been tested — a statement that struck Hostin as ominous.

“It scared me,” the co-host declared during the latest episode of “The View: Behind The Table” podcast.

LAWMAKER UNVEILS CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO GIVE TRUMP THIRD TERM

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin said during a podcast Tuesday that Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor’s comments about President Donald Trump seeking a third term “scared” her. (Gary Gershoff/Getty; Pablo Cuadra/Getty)

“And she said the Constitution should be the highest law of the land. Should be. She sort of clarified it, and that scared me,” Hostin added, after co-host Joy Behar said Trump doesn’t follow the rules.

Trump has teased the idea of seeking a third term, telling NBC News in March 2025 that he’s “not joking” about it.

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump told the outlet in a phone interview on Sunday. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”

During Tuesday’s episode of the ABC daytime talk show, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Sotomayor whether Trump seeking a third term is possible.

“There has been talk Donald Trump might seek a third term. It’s my personal belief that if he did, the Republican Party would likely support him. I want to ask you: obviously, the 22nd Amendment prohibits somebody from seeking a third term. Do you believe the 22nd Amendment is settled law?”

“The Constitution is settled law,” Sotomayor replied. “No one has tried to challenge that. Until somebody tries, you don’t know. So, it’s not settled because we don’t have a court case about that issue. But it is in the Constitution, and one should understand that there’s nothing that is the greater law in the United States than the Constitution of the United States.”

As Hostin explained during the podcast, Sotomayor’s point about it never being tested bothered her.

“Supreme Court justices are usually very reluctant and guarded to say – they don’t say much. And her answer, I think, in particular to whether or not Donald Trump would seek a third term – even though the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution prevents that was––”

    “Was vague?” Behar asked.

“No, it wasn’t vague. I thought it was pretty clear. She said it hadn’t been tested yet. There’s no case.”

Behar added, “Anything that he does that overwhelms or overtakes anything that’s in the Constitution – ‘cause he doesn’t follow the rules. And it hasn’t been done before. No one has done any of the things that he has done.”

  • Key Moments From Donald Trump In His Oh So Friendly Conversation With Joe Rogan

Key Moments From Donald Trump In His Oh So Friendly Conversation With Joe Rogan

    [ad_1]

With millions of Americans already voting, and just over a week until Election Day, here’s a snapshot of what Rogan and Trump covered on Friday:

Rogan Says Trump Has Been Attacked More Than Anyone In History

Rogan started the interview by talking about Trump’s appearance on The View when running for president for the first time. Back then, the crowd cheered as Trump received a warm welcome on the show.

“They all loved you,” Rogan began. “And then you actually started winning in the polls and then the machine started working towards you—there’s probably no one in history that I’ve ever seen that’s been attacked the way you’ve been attacked.”

Trump responded by discussing his work on The Apprentice, later denigrating the all-female cast of The View, “I was very popular, and all those people loved me. I mean this, some of these women, they’re so, they’re so stupid.”

    Election Denialism

Throughout the entire interview, Trump continued to bring up the 2020 election, reiterating his Big Lie—that he won despite an alleged coordinated effort against him. At one point, Rogan bemoans that people always “cut off” Trump when he talks about how he won four years ago—something he wouldn’t do.

“I did great the second time. I did much better. I don’t want to get you in any disputes, but I won that second election so easy,” Trump said. The two also discussed how supposed censorship against Trump on social media and Hunter Biden’s laptop led to election interference.

“I won by like, I lost by like—I didn’t lose,” Trump said later. Rogan laughed again.

The host also compared questioning the election results and being labeled an election denier to questioning Covid-19 vaccinations and being branded anti-vax.

In 2022, Rogan was “criticized for spreading what was widely seen as misinformation about the coronavirus,” the New York Times reported.

Trump Again Goes After Harris’s Intelligence

“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show?” Trump asked.

“She was supposed to do it, and she might do it, and I hope she does. I will talk to her like a human being,” Rogan responded.

Vice President Kamala Harris had been in talks to do a spot with Rogan, but it “didn’t pan out,” according to NBC News. Campaign spokesperson Ian Sams told MSNBC on Thursday that they “talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast, unfortunately, it isn’t going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign.”

Kamala Harris Launches Media Blitz in Final Weeks of Campaign

    [ad_1]

Even supporters of the Democratic candidate for president Kamala Harris have complained that the current vice president remains a mystery to broad swaths of the country. Though media outlets (including this one) have noted that coverage of Harris and her campaign attracts a greater readership than coverage of her opponent, Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump, those outlets have struggled to convince Harris to sit down for an interview. It’s a decision that’s concerned even the journalists who seem receptive to her message, and prompted observers such as media writer Jon Allsop to note that as of late September, Harris and running mate Tim Walz “had taken part in seven interviews or press conferences, compared with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s combined seventy-two.” Of those, Harris personally has participated in just three.

But all that changes this week, as Harris is launching into a set of sit-downs and interviews at the national level, presumably in an effort to—as Democratic strategist James Carville recently put it——win the news cycle. Here’s where to find an interview with Kamala Harris this week:

    TBD: Call Her Daddy

Harris sat for an interview with influential podcast host Alex Cooper on Tuesday, for an episode slated to be released on an at-yet-undisclosed day this week. Quoting the Harris campaign, the Washington Post reports that the interview focused on “reproductive rights and ‘other critical issues important to women.’” Listeners can find the episode on Spotify when it’s released.

    Monday: 60 Minutes

For decades, the venerable CBS newsmagazine has hosted an interview with both presidential candidates in the weeks leading up to the election, with Trump famously walking out on that conversation in 2020. Via statement, the show says, “This year, both the Harris and Trump campaigns agreed to sit down with 60 Minutes. Vice President Harris will speak with correspondent Bill Whitaker. After initially accepting 60 Minutes’ request for an interview with Scott Pelley, former President Trump’s campaign has decided not to participate. Pelley will address this Monday evening. Our election special will broadcast the Harris interview on Monday as planned.” According to the show, expect questions about “the economy, immigration, and the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Israel.” 60 Minutes will air on CBS on Monday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET, and will be available for streaming via CBSNews.com, on the CBS News app, or Paramount+.

Kamala Harris appears on ABC’s “The View” on Friday, July 12, 2019.

    Tuesday: The View

Harris will travel to New York on October 8 for an in-person interview with the ABC roundtable talk show. Planned topics of discussion with hosts Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin have not been released. ABC broadcasts The View on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET, 10 a.m. CT and PT., with episodes streaming at a later date on ABC.com and Hulu.

    Tuesday: The Howard Stern Show

The iconic interviewer’s once-controversial style is far less shocking in these days of wildly popular batshit podcasters, but with an audience of listeners who followed him to incessant spam call network SiriusXM, he arguably still enjoys some pull. Stern’s show airs live on Sirius’s channel 100 from 7-11 a.m. ET, with clips and segments typically shared to its YouTube channel in the hours following the broadcast.

Tuesday: The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Harris will cap off her busy Tuesday with an appearance on the late night talk show hosted by frequent Trump antagonist Stephen Colbert. (Other guests for the episode have yet to be announced.) The October 8 episode will air from 11:35 p.m. to 12:37 ET on CBS and will be available to stream on Paramount+.

Joy Behar has been hired, fired, and re-hired by ‘The View’ before

    [ad_1]

Not everyone has an easy journey with work. Sometimes you have a job, you get let go, but then you come back to that job later on. And that also happens to notable celebrity voices like Joy Behar from The View.

In 2013, Behar, who had been a staple on the show since the ’90s, suddenly wasn’t there anymore. At the time, it was painted as her own choice, but it was revealed in a story from PEOPLE in 2017 that Behar did not leave voluntarily. “Somebody wanted me gone,” she said. “It was not 100 percent my choice.” From how Behar spoke about it, it didn’t seem like she was that upset by the choice. “When they told me they weren’t renewing, I said, ‘Good, I’m out of here.’ I didn’t like the way the show was going at that time,” she said.

Since then, she’s talked about her firing a bit. In 2022, she told Time  “I was glad to be fired.” She briefly talked about it on The View when an episode talked about Jason Kelce’s retirement from football. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked her fellow hosts if they ever found themselves in a “Now what?” place when leaving a job. While it was an awkward moment because Goldberg was forced to ask the question, Behar did make a point of talking about her friendships.

“He sounds more upset that he’s leaving his friends,” Behar said. “When I leave this show, it will not be because I’m worried about my future. It’ll be because I will miss my friends. That’s basically it.”

Behar is no stranger to being fired

During an episode of The View with Night Court star Melissa Rauch, Behar revealed that she’d been fired from Good Morning America twice. Rauch was talking about a secretary job she was fired from and Goldberg made a joke about Behar being a bad receptionist. Host Sunny Hostin clarified that Behar was fired from GMA and Behar replied “Twice.”

Behar did not explain further. But she did, in November of 2022, talk about one of her firings from GMA with Kumail Nanjiani. “So, let’s talk about ‘Welcome to Chippendales.’ First of all, I’d like to say that when I was fired from Good Morning America years ago — I was the worst receptionist they’ve ever had — and, this is a true story, I was fired, they took me to Chippendales as my goodbye present … so, anyway I’m familiar with Chippendales.”

We do not know why she was fired from GMA the second time.

  • Whoopi Goldberg’s ‘Sister Act 2’ choir reunion is the latest nostalgia obsession

Whoopi Goldberg’s ‘Sister Act 2’ choir reunion is the latest nostalgia obsession

    [ad_1]

(CNN) — Thirty years later, some members of the cast of “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” reunited with star Whoopi Goldberg on “The View.”

Goldberg was beloved in her portrayal of Deloris van Cartier, a woman who in the 1992 film “Sister Act” poses as a nun while in a witness protection program. By the 1994 sequel, the character is implored by her former friends to once again become Sister Mary Clarence to help the choir at the fictitious St. Francis Academy in San Francisco.

So it made sense for Goldberg to host a reunion show Wednesday on the ABC daytime talk series she helps moderate.

Everyone Who Whoopi Goldberg Has Asked to Be in Sister Act 3

    [ad_1]

As any regular viewer of The View knows, there are two questions moderator Whoopi Goldberg loves asking the show’s guests on live television. The first of which is to come back to guest co-host, an offer that never materializes, and the second is asking them to co-star with her in the long-awaited Sister Act 3. Goldberg has been struggling to make Sister Act 3 happen for years, and when Disney finally gave the project the go in 2021 with Tyler Perry as a producer, she wasted no time assembling a cast. Using her day job at The View as an open casting call, Goldberg brilliantly circumvents agents and managers by putting actors right on the spot in front of an audience. Anything that has to be done to make this movie happen — after all, what a waste it would be to miss out on a title like Sister Act 3: Breaking the Habit. Let’s look back at the many people who Goldberg has already asked to appear in this (hopefully) upcoming film, from Pope Francis to JoJo Siwa.

As Daisy Ridley took her seat for her May 25, 2024 appearance on The View, she giddily told Goldberg, “I’m a really big fan.” In turn, Goldberg responded by saying, “I know you’re an extraordinary singer, maybe we should talk about 3. But we’ll do that another time.” The sheer power of being able to refer to Sister Act 3 as simply 3, and still have a gobsmacked Ridley know exactly what she’s talking about. Most talk shows only give the guests a mug, The View gives them gigs.

While appearing on The Tonight Show in May of 2024, Goldberg revealed to Jimmy Fallon that during her recent meeting with the pope (who she says seemed to be a fan of Sister Act), she offered him a cameo in the upcoming sequel. “He said he’d see what his time was like,” Goldberg joked. The offer seems like a smart move, given that it might take an act of God to make this movie happen.

In February of 2024, Goldberg reunited with Sheryl Lee Ralph, who played the mother of Lauryn Hill’s character in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, and surprised her with an offer to return to the franchise. “We’re in the process of putting together 3, will you come be part of it? Whatever it is?” she asked.

Back when Jimmy Fallon appeared on The View in March of 2023, Goldberg doubled down on an offer she had extended to him. “You still gonna come and do Sister Act?” she asked, with the late night host confirming by telling Goldberg, “Whatever I can do to help, I will do a cameo, I will pop my head through a window and wave, I’ll do whatever you need me to do.”

That conversation got the table thinking, with Joy Behar chiming in to suggest that all of the panelists join the fun. “We could all be nuns also, you know,” she said, with Alyssa Farah Griffin adding, “I’ve been pitching this.” Goldberg didn’t seem quite as receptive to this idea, but conceded that it’s technically a possibility, saying, “Yeah we could.”

While appearing on Loose Women in January of 2023, Goldberg delivered a public plea down the barrel of the camera directly to her Sister Act co-star Dame Maggie Smith. “One of the things that I want to make sure I do while I’m here is I want to let Maggie Smith know, that I’m holding the part of Mother Superior for you, because I just can’t do it with anybody but you,” she said. “So if you need me to come over here and shoot it and do whatever we have to do, we will do whatever you want us to do. Because we don’t want to do it without you, Maggie.”

In October of 2022, during an appearance on Hell of a Week with Charlamagne Tha God, Goldberg teased her dream cast for the project. “I want everybody to come in, I want Lizzo to come in, I want everybody. I want the girl with the chest, what’s her name?” she asked, before remembering Nicki Minaj’s name, “Nicki! I want Nicki to come in.”

When Kathy Najimy, who played Sister Mary Patrick in the original films, came to the table to promote Hocus Pocus 2, she asked about the status of the third movie. Goldberg told her that it was in fact happening, but came short of extending a formal invitation. Perhaps Najimy’s return simply goes without saying! Nonetheless, Goldberg did credit the return of Hocus Pocus with inspiring Disney to let Sister Act’s nuns get back in the habit as well.

Before Jenifer Lewis’s interview on The View in September of 2022 even got started, Goldberg told her, “You know, we’re still gonna do that movie, you know that, going back,” before reminding the audience, “You know, she’s in Sister Act.” Lewis appeared in both Sister Act films as Michelle, one of Deloris Van Cartier’s background singers.

Alright, this one certainly wasn’t a formal offer, but Goldberg made a point to let JoJo Siwa know back in 2021 that casting was underway. Just imagine her introducing a convent of nuns to “gay pop.”

It’s only fitting that the famously booked Keke Palmer was the first to get this ball rolling, not even waiting for Goldberg to make the offer during her appearance on The View way back in November of 2021. “Now Whoopi, I gotta shoot my shot, like I did with Issa a little bit ago,” Palmer said, referring to tweeting her way onto Issa Rae’s Insecure. “I heard that Tyler Perry is doing Sister Act 3 and I just want you to know I’m available for the job. Any job. I mean, you ain’t got to say nothing now, you know, I’ll send you an email or something. Just let me know if you need me.” But as it turns out, great minds think alike. “I already brought it up,” Goldberg responded, which sounds like she’s definitely in the mix, and thank god for that. Forget the pope, Keke Palmer is the most important addition to this franchise!

The Oscar-winning actress and “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg has announced that she is teaming up with the black streaming service known as Blkfam, which aims to make free kid-friendly content for black audiences.

    Goldberg’s New Venture

Goldberg is an equity investor in Blkfam, which launched yesterday across multiple platforms.

“I have a 10-year-old great-granddaughter — and there isn’t a lot of content out there created by people who look like her, for her,” Goldberg, 68, told Variety. “I feel like we’re not always represented in the best possible way.”

Goldberg went on to say that before investing in Blkfam, “no one has ever invited me to be part of the ground floor. And this is not even the ground floor, it’s the basement!”

“I like the idea of being part of something that will grow,” she added. “As I get older, I say, ‘Wow, things will outlast me.’ This is one of the things I hope outlasts me — I could be the Black woman Walt Disney!”

    Funny Goldberg should mention Disney…

    Blkfam Founder Speaks Out

Founded by digital media veteran Larry Adams, who called Goldberg personally about investing, Blkfam boasts a content library that “includes more than 20 syndicated series, with over 1,000 hours of animation titles, dozens of animated characters of color and diverse gender experiences, and hundreds of hours of original music-driven content.”

Blkfam also has 10 original live-action and animated series in development that are set to debut on the streaming service throughout this year.

Adams explained that he was motivated to create Blkfam after browsing through the Black programming section of a popular streaming service, which he declined to name, to find something to watch with his children, only to discover  “a ton of R-rated content.”

“Black culture and content is so often stereotyped, siloed or written off, so I wanted to create a platform where my kids and I can be entertained without having to face those same daily biases,” Adams said. “By curating authentic content — proven through data and AI — primarily from Black storytellers, we’ve built a service reflecting true inclusion and diversity, where Black parents and children especially can feel holistically represented.”

Adams is particularly excited to partner with Goldberg, saying that, “The magic of working with Whoopi Goldberg is, she has a magic bag of ideas.”

Blkfam’s Content Partners And Business Model

Content partners for Bkfam include Candle Media’s ATTN and PlayWatch Kids.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Blkfam — we feel this is a historic moment for families across the globe,” PlayWatch owner Jimmy Jenkins said in a statement. “Ultimately this platform will impact our children, and our children’s children.”

Adams concluded by saying that Blkfam’s business model will involve financing original series through brand partnerships.

“We are not doing the same thing other streamers have done where they go out and get 10,000 hours of stuff,” he said. “Our curated approach means [the catalog] won’t be as deep and endless as a Netflix, but it will be interesting faces you haven’t seen before.”

Goldberg regularly enjoys making everything about race and using that to divide our country even further every day on “The View,” so it comes as no surprise that she jumped to be involved in this racially motivated venture. Given how many streaming services are out there these days, however, it remains to be seen if this will actually be as successful as she is hoping.

Joy Behar Blasts Late Queen Elizabeth After King Charles Is Diagnosed With Cancer

    Opinion

Source YouTube: The View, CBS Mornings

Joy Behar appeared to blast the late Queen Elizabeth, who died in 2022 at the age of 96, after her son King Charles was diagnosed with cancer.

    Behar Sounds Off

Daily Mail reported that during Tuesday’s episode of her ABC talk show “The View,” Behar appeared to criticize the Queen for not stepping down to give her son a chance on the throne. The Queen reigned for a record-breaking 70 years before her death in September of 2022.

“It’s like, why not step down and let Charles have his day in the sun?” Behar asked. “The poor guy, he finally gets to be king, and now he has an illness. That doesn’t seem fair. There’s something wrong about it.”

“The woman was in the position for 70 years, the longest reign,” she added. “I think she could have used some term limits.”

Unfortunately for Behar, however, social media users were quick to fire back at her by defending the Queen.

“Maybe #JoyBehar should get her 81-year old ass off television and make room for someone else?” one user commented, with another adding, “Joy should have been put on term limits years ago!”

“I have absolutely zero use for the royal family (see my Twitter handle), but that doesn’t change the fact that Joy Behar is an unconscionable pig,” a third user commented.

    King Charles’ Cancer Diagnosis

Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that Charles has been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer.

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace said in a statement. “His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

“The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible,” the statement added. “His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”

CBS News royal contributor Julian Payne, who previously served as communications director for then-Prince Charles, spoke out to say that the King has generally enjoyed “very robust health.”

“So, this will be something he’s not used to,” Payne said. “I think he will be stoic about it. I think he will do what the doctors are asking him to do, and I think his eye will be firmly focused on getting back to the job and getting back to full fitness.”

Royal expert Roya Nikkhah said that despite not being as popular as his mother, the King still enjoys an ” enormous amount of affection and goodwill” from the public.

“The British public have been really shocked and saddened, as much as they were when the Queen was very unwell and in her final years,” she continued. “The nation will want to rally around the king and hope he makes a full recovery.”

Whoopi Goldberg Launches Vile Attack On Tim Scott For Denying Systemic Racism – ‘Looney Tune’

    [ad_1]

    Opinion

    Source: The View YouTube

On Wednesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg launched a truly vile attack on Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), branding him a “looney tune” for denying systemic racism.

    Goldberg Attacks Scott

Goldberg attacked Scott while she and her co-hosts interviewed Clay Cane, who recently released a book titled, “The Grift: The Downward Spiral of Black Republicans.”

“Let’s not forget, he voted against The Voting Rights Act, gutted the George Floyd Policing Act, and came on this very show and denied systemic racism,” Cane said.

The radically liberal co-host Sunny Hostin responded by claiming that Scott “insulted” her when he appeared on “The View” last year.

“Well, I was here, too,” Goldberg said before viciously attacking Scott by saying that “he was a Looney Tune.”

    Joy Behar Chimes In

Co-host Joy Behar chimed in to whine that it is difficult for her to watch Scott speak at Donald Trump rallies, adding that he is  “desperate” for power.

“What’s sad about Tim Scott is that I think he knows that if he called out the bigotry in his own party versus endorsing a bigot for president, he knows they would throw him out faster than Liz Cheney,” Cane said.

“It’s pathetic to watch,” Behar continued, going on to note that Scott recently got engaged. “That’s because he wants the job as VP, right? So the engagement was a good way to say, ‘Hey, I’m going to be married. I’m going to be legit. I can be a vice president to Trump.’”

    Scott Schools ‘The View’ Hosts

While appearing on “The View” last year, Scott refused to cater to the left-wing narrative of systemic racism in the U.S.

“One of the reasons why I’m on the show is because of the comments that were made frankly on this show that the only way for a young African-American kid to be successful in this country is to be the exception and not the rule. That’s a dangerous, offensive, disgusting message to send to our young people today that the only way to succeed is by being the exception,” Scott said at the time, according to Fox News.

Not stopping there, Scott proceeded to boast about the African-American success in the U.S., pointing out the record low unemployment rate among African Americans.

“Progress in America is palpable, it can be measured in generations,” he said. “I look back at the fact that my grandfather, born in 1921 in Salley, South Carolina, when he was on a sidewalk, a White person was coming — he had to step off and not make eye contact.”

“That man believed then, with some doubt now, in the goodness of America, because he believed that faith in God, faith in himself, and faith in what the future could hold for his kids, would unleash opportunities in ways that you cannot imagine,” Scott added. “So, what I’m suggesting is that yesterday’s exception is today’s rule.”

Check out his full appearance on “The View” in the video below.

There’s nobody that shameless liberals like Goldberg despise more than a black conservative, as the existence of someone like Scott completely destroys their narrative that the Republican Party is full of racists. Goldberg can bash Scott all that she wants to, but if she really wants to see a “looney tune,” all she has to do is look in the mirror.

Kamala Harris Admits She’s ‘Scared As Heck’ Of Trump

    Opinion

Source YouTube: The View, The Independent

While appearing on the ABC talk show “The View” on Wednesday morning, Vice President Kamala Harris admitted to the liberal co-host Joy Behar that she is “scared as heck” of the former President Donald Trump ahead of this year’s presidential election.

    Harris Is ‘Scared As Heck’

At one point in the interview, Behar asked Harris about concerns over the state of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

“President Obama reportedly has said that he thinks the Biden campaign is too complacent when it comes to Trump,” she began. “Representative Jim Clyburn has said the campaign isn’t breaking through the MAGA wall. Michelle Obama says she’s terrified, as we are, about the potential outcome of the election.”

“Now, are you scared?” Behar asked. “What could happen if Trump ever became, God forbid, president again? And what are you going to do to stop the crazies?”

“I am scared as heck!” Harris bluntly responded. “Which is why I’m traveling our country.”

“You know, there’s an old saying that there are only two ways to run for office: Either without an opponent or scared,” she continued. “So on all of those points, yes, we should ALL be scared.”

    ‘We Got To Earn Reelection’

Harris went on to bring the interview back to the issue of women and children.

“But as we know, and certainly this is a table of very powerful women,” she said. “We don’t run away from something when we’re scared. We fight back against it. Right. Yeah. So many of us know when we are scared for the future of our children, do we then stay in bed with the covers over our head? Nope. No we can’t. We cannot. We cannot. And this is where this election requires brightly that President Biden and I and and all of us who are part of this administration, we got to earn reelection.”

“There is no question,” she concluded. “We got to be on the road. Listen, since the in the last two weeks I’ve been to Georgia, I’ve been to Nevada, I’ve been to North Carolina, I’ve been to South Carolina twice. In the first two weeks of this year, I will be out on the road. We have to earn the reelect and we have to communicate what we have achieved, and that is going to be one of our big challenges. We’ve done a lot of good work. We need to let people know who bring it to them.”

Harris’ Unpopularity ‘Could End Up Being A Difference-Maker’

Harris has good reason to be “scared as heck,” as her approval rating fell from 41.7 percent to 36.3 percent last year while her disapproval increased from 51.7 percent to 53.7 percent, according to analysis by polling website 538. Thomas Gift, who heads up the Centre on U.S. Politics at University College London, told Newsweek last month that Harris’ unpopularity “could end up being a difference-maker” in the 2024 presidential election.

“To realize just how unpopular Kamala Harris is, you have to keep in mind the historical significance of it all,” Gift said. “No one in her position has had this low of favorabilities in a first term since Dan Quayle. That’s saying something. So it’s no surprise, especially with Biden’s age, that Republicans keep hammering home a simple point: a vote for Biden is a vote for Harris.

“While it’s usually the top of the ticket that drives voting, and that will be true again in 2024, Harris’ abysmal popularity will matter on the margins,” he added. “And with next year’s election poised to be close, those margins could end up being a difference-maker.”

Whoopi Goldberg Panics Over Trump's Massive Iowa Win – 'Don't Get Suckered'

    Opinion

    Source: The View Twitter

During Tuesday’s episode of her ABC talk show “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg went into panic mode over Donald Trump’s massive victory in the Iowa caucus on Monday.

    ‘Don’t Get Suckered’

Despite harsh weather conditions and ongoing efforts from the left to take him down, Trump secured a 30-point win in the Iowa caucus that took place on Monday, according to Decider.

“This seems par for the course,” Goldberg said. “You know, it’s early days and none of us are going to know what happens until it happens.”

“So don’t get suckered,” she continued as the super liberal co-host Joy Behar chimed in to add, “Don’t get complacent!”

“Don’t get suckered,” Goldberg added. “This is yours. This belongs to the United States of America, all the people sitting here and at home, this is your election. We can’t tell you who to vote for, we’re just telling you what we’re seeing. Keep that in mind.”

    Behar’s Meltdown

During this same segment, Behar had a full meltdown over the caucus results.

“This is what the 5 percent voted for,” Behar said, according to Entertainment Weekly. “They voted for a guy who, today, had to come to New York to show up in court in a case against a woman that a federal judge has already said he raped. That’s who you voted for.”

Behar went on to claim that Trump has lost “so many times” as she made an L-sign on her forehead.

“You voted for a guy who said, come, risk your lives for the grand wizard,” she continued, referring to the title of the national leader of the Ku Klux Klan. “Come in the snow and the sleet, because I am more important than your life. That’s who the 5 percent voted for.”

    Trump’s Victory Speech

Trump responded to his victory on Monday by calling for Americans to “come together.”

“I really think this is time now for everybody, our country, to come together,” Trump said, according to The Daily Signal. “We want to come together, whether … Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative.”

“I want to congratulate Ron and Nikki for having a good time together. We are all having a good time together. And I think they both actually did very well, I do. They both did very well,” Trump added, referring to his opponents Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley.

Trump then referenced Vivek Ramaswamy, saying, “I also want to congratulate Vivek. He did a hell of a job, going from zero, and he’s getting about 8%.”

Trump was not so positive towards President Joe Biden, however.

“I don’t want to be overly rough on the president, but I have to say that he is the worst president that we have had in the history of our country,” Trump said. “He’s destroying our country. … I thought to myself, Jimmy Carter is happy now. Because he will go down as being a brilliant president by comparison to Joe Biden.”

A shameless liberal like Goldberg really should be panicking about Trump’s caucus win because it shows that leftists have failed in their quest to destroy him. In the end, nobody should be surprised if Trump is back in the White House at this time next year!

Joy Behar Is Reminded ‘Murder Is Wrong’ In Awkward Moment With Gypsy Rose Blanchard

    [ad_1]

Gypsy Rose Blanchard visited “The View” Friday and had to navigate a pretty uncomfortable on-air moment with co-host Joy Behar.

Blanchard, 32, was released from prison last week after serving nearly a decade behind bars for second-degree murder in the death of her abusive mother in 2015. During her interview, Blanchard spoke about her future plans, which include doing advocacy work for other abuse victims. She then addressed the camera.

“If there is someone out there watching right now, please listen to me, heed my words, that you are not alone in this situation,” she said. “There are other ways out. I did it the wrong way, um, so—”

“No, no, honey, no,” Behar said, cutting Blanchard off. “Don’t say that.”

    “Well, I did—” Blanchard said.

“You had no choice,” Behar said.

“I did something wrong,” Blanchard said. “And I paid my dues for it.”

“Oh, you mean that part,” Behar said with a sheepish smile, and began to backpedal.

“Yes,” Blanchard said. “That part of it.”

“Where are you going with this, Joy?” one of Behar’s co-hosts shouted from off camera.

“Murder is wrong, Joy,” co-host Ana Navarro said, mock-patiently.

“Yes, murder’s wrong,” Blanchard said with an awkward laugh.

A clip of the moment made its way onto X, formerly Twitter, where users certainly found humor in Behar’s seeming suggestion that murder is OK sometimes.

But many others agreed with Behar — who was likely referring to the horrific abuse Blanchard was forced to endure. Some people said that due to the circumstances of Blanchard’s case, they understood her actions.

Blanchard’s mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, lied to her about her health since early childhood and made her believe she had several illnesses and conditions she did not actually have, including leukemia, muscular dystrophy, brain damage and an unspecified chromosomal disorder.

In order to sell the scam, Clauddine Blanchard forced her daughter to use a wheelchair, shaved her head and had a doctor install a feeding tube in her stomach. Clauddine, who was also physically abusive, exploited Gypsy Rose’s fake illnesses for personal gain and convinced their community that the charade was authentic — which kept her daughter isolated and in a state of arrested development.

Gypsy Rose realized later in life that she was not sick at all, and at age 19, she conspired with her then boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her mother. Godejohn was found guilty of first-degree murder after stabbing Clauddine Blanchard to death in her home in Springfield, Missouri, in 2015. He was sentenced to life in prison.

During her appearance on “The View,” Gypsy Rose was asked about her critics who claim she’s using her notoriety for financial gain. She explained her reasons for being so public now that her sentence is up.

“I’m a very private person, and I don’t like the fame,” Blanchard said. “But the one thing that I can do with it is some good. So, I’m not in it for fame or fortune. My story is important to me, it happened to me, and I just want to be an advocate. I want to be somebody that can help others. That’s seriously all that I want.”

Cannabis company goes into administration in bad news for medicinal marijuana users in Australia – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

    [ad_1]

Board warfare and allegations of financial impropriety have erupted at Australian marijuana business Epsilon Healthcare, putting at risk 25 jobs and the largest medicinal cannabis manufacturing facility in the southern hemisphere.

Epsilon announced on December 17 that it had appointed administrators Ian Purchas and Hugh Armenis from SV Partners to take control of the company and conduct an ‘urgent assessment of the company’s business operations and financial affairs’.

Mr Purchas said the ‘underlying’ businesses were strong and the move into administration had come about due to ‘disunity’ at board level.

‘They (a majority of the board) formed the view the uncertainty at the board level may cause creditors to make claims, which the company may not have been able to pay,’ he said.

The company’s ASX announcements in recent months reveal a chaotic shuffle of board and management positions and allegations of potential financial impropriety.

Epsilon Healthcare manufactures medicinal cannabis products at a facility at Southport on the Gold Coast. The company entered into administration on December 17

On November 20, the company’s deputy chairman Alan Beasley proposed an extraordinary general meeting (EGMS) to appoint Peter Giannopoulos as a director of the company and remove Xiao (Josh) Cui as a company director.

Mr Cui is the board’s chair.

On November 21, the company announced Mr Giannopoulos’ termination as chief executive before the end of his probationary period.

Things got weird on the ABC talk show “The View” once again on Thursday morning when co-host Joy Behar bizarrely compared the Republican presidential debate that took place the night before to her “G-spot.”

    ‘It’s Like My G-Spot!’

Behar, 81, said this while her co-hosts talked about how hard it was to actually watch this debate, as it aired on News Nation.

“I would love to know the stats as to how many people watched that,” co-host Sunny Hostin said, with Sara Haines adding that she couldn’t even find where to watch it. “Exactly,”

“It’s like my G-spot!” Behar exclaimed, much to the shock of her audience.

In this same segment, Behar slammed Trump for not attending the debate.

“I say the next time they want to do this, they should do it in a jail cell,” Behar continued. “And then he’ll show up.”

Check out this full segment in the video below.

    Trump Not Participating In Debates

Trump has made it clear that he sees no upside in himself participating in the Republican presidential debates during this go-round.

“They’re not watchable,” Trump said last month, according to The Messenger. “You know, the last debate was the lowest-rated debate in the history of politics, so therefore do you think we did the right thing by not participating?”

“The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had,” Trump wrote on social media back in August. “I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”

Trump’s 2020 campaign press secretary Hogan Gidley told News Nation before the debate that if the former did attend, he would “suck all the oxygen out of the room.”

“It’s fascinating to watch in politics,” Gidley said. “I’ve been doing this for 25 years, and I’ve never seen somebody with a stranglehold on a movement or on the base like Donald Trump has.”

    Behar’s Trump Derangement Syndrome

Behar has long had one of the worst cases of Trump derangement syndrome of anyone in the media, and that’s saying a lot. Earlier this month, Behar bizarrely dared Trump to try and get “revenge” on her if he is reelected in 2024.

“Donald Trump is running for president for two reasons: to stay out of jail, and to get revenge on his enemies,” said co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked in the Trump administration. “And when he speaks we should listen and, frankly, it’s scary.”

“Try it! Go ahead!” Behar exclaimed in response, looking at the camera as she addressed Trump directly. “Try it! We have this show every day! Okay, Donald?”

Check out this full clip in the video below.

Full Story: Joy Behar Dares Trump To Try And Get ‘Revenge’ On Her If He Wins In 2024 – ‘Go Ahead!’

Back in June, Behar demanded that Trump be “locked up already.”

“He’s a grifter. He’s a grifter,” she said of Trump, according to Daily Mail. “Lock him up already. Lock him up.”

“Nixon was caught on tape and that was the end of his career as president,” she continued. “This guy is caught on tape talking about grabbing women’s genitalia – he didn’t learn from that or from Nixon and now he’s continuing to tape himself. That is really the definition of stupidity.”

Check out that clip in the video below.

Behar comparing the Republican presidential debate to her “G-spot” is nothing short of nutty. It remains to be seen how much longer ABC executives will think that it is worth keeping her around.

Whoopi Goldberg had a full meltdown on “The View” this week over Donald Trump claiming that President Joe Biden “is the destroyer” of democracy during a rally on Saturday.

    Goldberg Sounds Off About Trump

“Joe Biden is not the defender of American democracy – Joe Biden is the destroyer of American democracy,” Trump said during a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, according to USA Today.

This didn’t sit well with Goldberg, who fired back at Trump on “The View” on Monday morning.

“See, if that were actually true, you would not be doing what you were doing because he would’ve put your ass in jail,” she said. “If he was destroying democracy, he would have been — see, this is the thing you don’t get, man. When people destroy democracy, your rights don’t matter. That’s how you know that’s not what he’s doing.”

Goldberg has long been fantasizing about Trump being sent to prison. Earlier this year, she called for an amendment to the Constitution that would prevent Trump from running for president from behind bars.

“What’s really starting to freak me out is the idea that we’re not even discussing changing the Constitution to make it say you cannot be in jail and be the president,” she said, according to The Wrap. “Because, my fear — I’m a big fan of amendments, because I feel like, unless we start to plug these holes, this is gonna keep biting us in the behind.”

“The amendment will change how we deal with people who come up like this,” she continued. “That’s what I want.”

Back in October, Goldberg claimed that she would not be allowed to speak about people the way that Trump does.

“I have a big question about all of this because something’s been bothering me,” Goldberg said, according to Mediaite. “Why can he continue to threaten judges, threaten AGs, and threaten just people? Now, I understand that some folks say it’s freedom of speech, but if I did that, they would not consider it freedom of speech.”

“So why does he get to continue to threaten? And it’s threats like he did with January 6th. He basically said, ‘Come after her,’” she added. “He didn’t say exactly those words, but I don’t know how else you can take those words. But why is he continuously allowed to do that when none of us would be able to do it?”

Monday’s episode of “The View” descended into major chaos during a confrontational multisegment conversation with Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.)

The Republican presidential hopeful asked to appear on “The View” after publicly sparring with panelist Joy Behar about his take on systemic racism, but little to nothing appeared to get resolved during the show.

Tempers flared as Scott argued with hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin about race, LGBTQ rights and more.

Asked why he “doesn’t believe” in the idea of systemic racism, which argues that discrimination is reinforced by the way societies are organized, Scott called the concept “a dangerous, offensive, disgusting message to send to our young people today.”

Hostin tried to follow up with another question, but the legislator shut her down almost immediately.

“You had your chance to ask the question,” he warned, according to Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve watched you on the show. You like people to be deferential and respectful, so, I’m going to do the same thing.”

At several points, the bickering got so heated that the table missed their cues for commercial breaks.

When Goldberg tried to pause the conversation, Scott told her he was “just getting started.”

Appearing visibly upset, he then stood up from the table and told the audience, “I believe all people can see the success that I’ve had,” before settling back into his seat.

Scott was also met with a chorus of “boos” after voicing support for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) controversial “Don’t Say Gay” legislation, which strictly limits discussions about gender and sexuality from public schools.

The crowd roared after Scott called DeSantis’ dispute with Disney “the right issue as relates to our young kids and what they’re being indoctrinated with.”

While Goldberg didn’t agree, she chastised the audience for being rude.

“Not here. I’m sorry, sir. Do not boo. This is ‘The View,’” Goldberg yelled. “We accept we don’t have to believe everything people say, but you can’t boo people here, please. You cannot do it.” Not long after, Scott made his exit.

The senator has been trying to elevate his platform since announcing his 2024 bid for Republican presidential candidate last month.

He joined a crowded pack of GOP hopefuls that includes former President Donald Trump, Gov. DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
