Are Harry & Jess Still Together From Perfect Match? Here’s Where They Stand

    [ad_1]

As Netflix‘s newest toxic couple, Perfect Match’s Harry and Jess have viewers wondering whether they’re still together and what happened after filming ended on Season 2. Well, Harry seemingly accidentally spoiled their ending, and it could come as a surprise to some.

Harry Jowsey and Jessica Vestal are two of 22 contestants on The Perfect Match, Netflix’s dating series that brings together alums from various Netflix reality shows—including Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, and The Circle—as they date and couple up with each other. Harry was originally a contestant on Too Hot to Handle Season 1, where he was one of 10 winners and ended up with co-star Francesca Farago. (The two split after filming ended.)

Jess, for her part, starred on Love Is Blind Season 6, where she dated co-star Jimmy Presnell in the pods. Jess and Jimmy broke up in the pods after Jimmy proposed to his now-ex-fiance, Chelsea Blackwell. After two failed Netflix relationships and endless drama, could Harry and Jess’ second chance at love fare better than their first? Thanks to Harry for spilling the details on his podcast earlier this year, we already know the answer.

Are Harry and Jess still together from The Perfect Match Season 2?

Harry confirmed in an episode of his podcast, “Boyfriend Material,” in April 2024 that he and Jess broke up after The Perfect Match Season 2 finished filming. During the podcast, Harry revealed that he had a secret girlfriend while competing on Dancing With the Stars Season 32, where he was paired with professional dancer Rylee Arnold. Though Harry didn’t name his girlfriend, many believe it was Jess, given photos obtained by Page Six of them together in Mexico in June 2023—around the time Perfect Match Season 2 would’ve finished filming.

A month after they shot the last episode of Perfect Match, Jess said in an interview in the show that they’re “still going strong” and plans to move to Los Angeles. “I wonder when this is gonna come out. We’ll be strong by then. We’ll probably be married by then,” Harry added. Welp!

As for why Harry and Jess are no longer still together, Harry revealed on his podcast that he and Jess broke up because of rumors that he was dating Rylee while on Dancing With the Stars. “On my reality TV journey, the last stop was Dancing With the Stars. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Harry, are you and Rylee dating? Are we together? Am I leading her on? Are we hooking up?’” he said. “What if I told you, I was in a secret relationship at the start of Dancing With the Stars and all those edits brought me and my girlfriend at the time apart?”

Despite the rumors, Harry confirmed on his podcast that he didn’t cheat on Jess with Rylee while on Dancing With the Stars. He also revealed that he and Jess tried to get back together during Dancing with the Stars and he even ordered an engagement ring and planned to propose to her. “I call her and I profess her love. ‘I’ll give you my Instagram logins, I’ll give you my bank logins, I’ll unfollow every single female that I follow in hopes that it makes you happy. I said you can read every text message you want because you, my love, are my lady and I want to have your hand in marriage,’” he said.

Their relationship ended, however, when Jess was supposed to fly to Los Angeles, where Harry lives and planned to propose to her. When she never did, Harry blocked Jess on his phone and on social media. At the time of writing, Harry and Jess also don’t follow each other on social media. Harry and Jess, however, sparked, rumors they were still together when Harry shared a TikTok of them at a beach with the caption, “I can’t wait to grow old with her.” However, given Harry’s openness about trolling fans and the media—such as when he fed false rumors he was dating Khloe Kardashian—the TikTok could be another example of him misleading his followers.

Jess confirmed that it made her feel betrayed, when she told Entertainment Tonight, “outside of the show it was more of like, an all right, fool me twice shame on me, I’m gonna have to take that on ’cause I did know better.”

Jess told Tudum, “I wouldn’t quite call us friends, but we’re definitely not enemies. At this point, I just have to meet him where he is. I mean, Harry is Harry.” For the record, Harry wishes he “did a lot of things differently” looking back. “I’ve grown so much and done so much work on myself in the last year,” he says. “Now I get to look at that version of Harry and be like, ‘OK, well, thank God I’m not like that anymore.’ I get to evaluate myself and make sure that that doesn’t happen again.”

It wasn’t the first time Harry has been accused of cheating on Jess. During The Perfect Match Season 2, Melinda Berry accused Harry of kissing Rylee off-camera, which he denied. “I did not kiss her. That was a deep fake. But Melinda is telling everyone like it’s fact,” Harry said in a confessional interview, accusing Melinda of “trying to get as much screen time and as much clout off this whole situation as possible.”

Following the episode, Melinda shared an Instagram Story hinting that the kiss, in fact, happened. “Wow. Wow. Oh, I cannot wait for the truth to come out. Oh, God,” Melinda said in a video of her watching the show. A Reddit user who claimed to know a producer on The Perfect Match also alleged that the kiss between Melinda and Harry happened. “My friend was a producer on this show and told me exactly what happened. They said Harry is gaslighting so hard that it made them doubt what they saw with their own eyes. What happened was Harry and Melinda both asked to go to the bathroom which was off-camera. That’s where he kissed her. That’s why he immediately started saying ‘where’s the footage’ when Melinda then brought the kiss up on camera. [sic],” the user said.

Are Stevan & Alara Still Together From The Perfect Match? He Says…

    [ad_1]

Warning: The Perfect Match Season 2 spoilers ahead. They may not have won The Perfect Match Season 2, but Stevan and Alara are still winners in the hearts of fans, which begs the question: Are they still together? The answer may surprise you.

Stevan Ditter and Alara Taneri were two of 22 cast members on Season 2 of The Perfect Match, Netflix‘s dating series that couples up former contestants from multiple of the streaming service’s reality shows, including Love Is Blind, The Circle, and Too Hot to Handle. Stevan, for his part, was originally a contestant on Too Hot to Handle Season 3 (along with his Perfect Match co-star Holly Scarfone) where he was one of 13 finalists, and left the show single. Alara starred on Season 1 of Dated & Related, where she ended up with Kieran Bishop, the brother of her Perfect Match co-star, Kaz Bishop. (The two split after filming ended.)

Stevan and Alara, who first matched in Episode 3, were one of five final couples in The Perfect Match Season 2 finale, along with Tolu Ekundare and Chris Hahn; Elys Hutchinson and Bryton Constantin; Micah Lussier and Kaz Bishop; and Christine Obanor and Nigel Jones. Though Stevan and Alara been matched the longest and were the fan favorites to win, the cast voted Christine and Nigel as the winners of The Perfect Match Season 2. “At the end of the day, I don’t mind losing because I still feel so connected to Alara,” Stevan said in the finale. “She just makes me the best version of me.”

Are Stevan and Alara still together from The Perfect Match Season 2?

Sadly, Stevan and Alara broke up after The Perfect Match Season 2 finished filming. Stevan confirmed the news to People in June 2024, telling the magazine: “You can’t expect anything just to be completely honest. You have to go in open mind, open perspective because it will never go the way that you think it’s going to go on reality TV.”

At the time of writing, Stevan and Alara do not follow each other on Instagram. Alara also didn’t tag Stevan in an Instagram post on June 11 of her hugging Stevan after their first challenge win as a couple. Christine also hinted that Stevan and Alara didn’t have the best breakup in a TikTok comment after the Season 2 finale to a fan who criticized her and Nigel for winning The Perfect Match over Stevan and Alara. “Alara and stevan were robbed… i have no clue how you and nigel won 😭😂,” the fan commented, to which Christine responded, “I promise yall won’t be going this hard once I spill this tea.”

Despite this, Stevan still had good things to say about Alara in an interview with Today after The Perfect Match Season 2 finale. “I think she was just very open-minded and just loud about how she felt, what her thought process was, in general,” he said. “I like communication a lot, and so she was extremely extroverted. And you’d never really had to question what was going on with her.” He continued, “So, it just seemed a lot more natural and very unique in its own way.”

Stevan and Alara haven’t confirmed why they split, however, based on the reasons of past Perfect Match couples’ breakups, it’s likely that distance played a role in their decision to end their relationship. Stevan lives in Los Angeles, California, while Alara lives in London, England.

Alara and her Dated and Related ex, Kieran, also broke up due to distance, though their distance was a lot closer. “Alara and I had a lot going on back home after leaving the villa, so, unfortunately, things didn’t work out between us,” Kieran told Tudum in 2022. “I had family issues, and Alara was busy at university, and she lived three hours away from London, which made it more difficult. We’re still really good friends and still in contact.”

Stevan explained to Netflix’s Tudum the biggest lesson from the show, was, “Don’t try and date someone who lives in another country.” He added, “We just really weren’t able to speak. By the time I was waking up, she was going to bed. I am not always on my phone like people think that I am. I barely post on social media, so it just didn’t work out in that sense.”

  • Lauren London Looks Back at Her Most Iconic Roles

Lauren London Looks Back at Her Most Iconic Roles

    [ad_1]

Welcome to Look Back At It, a monthly column where some of the most iconic Black actresses in Hollywood reminisce and reflect on the roles that made them stars. For this month’s installment, Lauren London breaks down her career—from ATL and This Christmas to her most recent Netflix film, You People.

The first film that made an impression on Lauren London might surprise you. “Funny Girl,” she says, “was a really big movie for me. I watched that growing up and said, ‘I want to act.’” Though she hasn’t starred in a musical of her own (“If I could sing, I absolutely would.”), London has certainly accomplished her acting dream.

Her first feature, which premiered in 2006, was the coming-of-age film ATL, a movie that she describes as completely life-changing. From there, she went on to star in the holiday classic This Christmas, the raunchy teen comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper, and the television dramas The Game and Games People Play. When speaking about acting, London sees it as more than just a job. “If you’re watching me, I don’t take that in vain,” she explains. “Being on someone’s television screen is a responsibility. I want to inspire, encourage, and motivate [my audience].”

Below, London takes us through her most iconic roles to share the lessons she’s learned, memories from set, and the divine friends she’s met along the way.

“This was completely life-changing. ATL was my first film and it was possibly one of my biggest learning lessons. I always attribute this experience to a college experience because I didn’t go to college. All of the things I assume you learn in college about yourself are what I learned on this movie. And I guess it is a little surprising [that the movie is still so popular] because when you do something you don’t really know how it’s gonna be received. You just let it go. But I’m so blessed that I was part of this project and that people still relate to it and love it. This movie is so nostalgic, too. I was only 20 years old. I was a baby. I’m extremely grateful that it’s part of my life’s work.”

“This might be my favorite movie of mine. I love This Christmas. I learned so much from working with Loretta [Devine] and Regina [King]. This was such a great cast experience. I will say though, it was really hard having to wear that same outfit for a whole month, but it was a lot of fun.”

“The director of this movie, Chris Columbus, directed Home Alone and the first Harry Potter, so working with him was a dream. And I remember it being really, really cold in Vancouver. Shooting a summer movie in the winter was hard. But this movie is very underrated. I forget I did this one, if I’m being honest, so thank you for bringing this back. I gotta watch this one again.”
