  • Sofia Vergara Skips Emmys 2025 Due to Medical Emergency

    [ad_1]

One previously announced celebrity presenter was missing in action at Sunday night’s 2025 Emmys ceremony. Though Modern Family star Sofia Vergara was supposed to present the award for outstanding performance by an actor in a limited series or movie, the five-time Emmy nominee was nowhere to be found at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. On Instagram, Vergara revealed that she was forced to skip the ceremony due to a medical emergency.

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

Vergara posted a selfie, featuring her very swollen and puffy left eye. “Didnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER 🤣😩sorry I had to cancel,” she wrote. “Craziest eye allergie [sic] right before getting in the car!🤣🤣.” In one of the carousel videos shared, Vergara can also be seen lying on a hospital bed, waiting for her doctor. In another video, you can see the Griselda star at the hospital rinsing her eye out with water.  Stars like Terry Crews responded in Vergara’s comments section, writing, “Oh no! Get well soon!” Snoop Dogg also responded with the prayer hands emoji.

To replace Vergara, the Emmys brought out not one, but two actresses who know how to meld beauty and comedy. The Emmys producers called upon Hunting Wives stars Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow to pinch-hit and present the category. The two actresses playfully nodded toward their characters’ arcs on Netflix’s Texas-set melodrama while presenting the award to Adolescence star Stephen Graham.

“Wow, it took me a really long time to get here. Sorry I took so long to come out,” said Snow. “I don’t mind waiting for you to come out,” responded Akerman, to delight of the crowd. “Thank you for the help,” responded Snow.

Hunting Wives has been renewed for a second season—so perhaps next year, Akerman, Snow, and an allergy free Vergara will all attend the ceremony together.

Sofía Vergara Wants to Revisit ‘Modern Family’ and Suggests Doing a ‘TV Movie’; She Jokes to Ed O’Neill: ‘Don’t Die’ Before

    [ad_1]

Sofía Vergara declares Ed O’Neill isn’t allowed to die.

Recently nominated for an Emmy for her lead role in Netflix’s crime drama “Griselda,” the Colombian star revealed in her Variety cover story that she is open to reprising her role as the hilarious trophy wife Gloria Delgado-Pritchett from ABC’s “Modern Family.” However, there’s one condition: Ed O’Neill, who played her husband Jay on the sitcom, must still be alive to join her.

“I’d die to be on that set,” Vergara says. “It’d be so much fun. A TV movie, maybe?”

While she believes now is too soon to bring the Pritchett family back to screens, Vergara regularly jokes with O’Neill about the possibility.

After watching him in the FX miniseries “Clipped,” in which O’Neill portrayed former L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling, Vergara says she humorously told him, “You look fucking old.”

“I always joke with him [saying], ‘Ed, don’t die because if we do the sequel, it will take some time, and you’re the oldest of us. You can’t be dead,’” Vergara told Variety.

The Emmys are not unfamiliar to Vergara. She received four consecutive noms in the supporting comedy actress category, from 2010 to 2013, for her role as Gloria in “Modern Family.” But despite her frequent nods, Vergara has yet to win a statuette — though many believe she deserved to win at least one Emmy during her time on the ABC sitcom.

“That’s what I tell Julie Bowen,” Vergara jokes about her “Modern Family” co-star, who took home the Emmy twice for her role as Gloria’s step-daughter, Claire. “I was nominated four times. Julie was also, and I always rub it in her face, ‘One of those is mine, but I’m just letting you have it in your house.’”

The relationship between Bowen and Vergara is quite different from their characters’ on-screen rivalry. Vergara shared that Bowen sent her a video of herself voting for the Colombian actress on this year’s Emmys ballot. (Vergara’s nomination this year makes her the first Colombian-born actress and the second Latina nominated in the limited series category.)

Vergara noted that the “Modern Family” cast remains close after the series ended in 2020. Co-creator Steven Levitan tells Variety she was always the cast member everyone wanted to sit next to at dinners.

“Sofía has that rare combination of being strong, funny and beautiful,” he says. “Sofía is naturally savvy. She knows how to make people feel good about themselves … She was never pretentious. Despite all her hard-earned success, when she messed up, she was always the first one to laugh at herself, which signaled to everyone on set that it was fine to laugh along with her.”

“Griselda” is now streaming on Netflix.

  • Sofía Vergara Embraced Spanish For “Griselda” — and Now She’s Making Emmys History

Sofía Vergara Embraced Spanish For “Griselda” — and Now She’s Making Emmys History

    [ad_1]

Last week, Sofia Vergara made history at the Emmys as the first Latina to be nominated for best lead actress in a limited series for her role in Netflix’s “Griselda.” This nomination comes after years of Vergara battling a double-edged sword: her undeniable talent and her Colombian accent, which were both part of the path she’d carved with her iconic portrayal of Gloria Pritchett on “Modern Family.” Despite the success that “Modern Family” had — winning 22 Primetime Emmy Awards and garnering 85 nominations since its 2009 debut — Vergara has been vocal about the limitations the industry placed on her because of her accent.

“I’m always looking for characters because there’s not much that I can play with this stupid accent,” she told the Los Angeles Times earlier this year. “I can’t play a scientist or be in ‘Schindler’s List.’ My acting jobs are kind of limited.”

With Salma Hayek being a rare exception, Latina actresses with accents often find themselves relegated to stereotypical roles like fiery maids or sassy best friends. Take Rosie Perez, for instance. The Puerto Rican actress known for her roles in Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” and “White Men Can’t Jump” has spoken out about how her Puerto Rican Brooklyn accent often limited the roles she landed. Her role in “White Men Can’t Jump” was originally intended for an Italian or Irish American actress, but she eventually proved she was the perfect fit for the role.

“Yes, my accent was strong. Yes, I was Brooklyn. Yes, I was poor, but did that mean I should be limited to only playing unintelligent, downtrodden, and humiliating stereotypes?” she wrote in her 2014 memoir “Handbook for an Unpredictable Life.

Americans’ tendency to view accents through a biased lens has always been an uphill battle for Latine actors. Judgment towards people with heavy ethnic accents is a persistent issue and a prejudice that actors with British or Australian accents rarely face. This is a form of discrimination that needs to be dismantled.

While Perez, Hayek, and Vergara are undeniable stars, such has been the case for many Latina actresses with strong accents. The industry has been hesitant to embrace the full spectrum of what Latina actresses can offer, creating a barrier for those who couldn’t (or wouldn’t) shed their accents.

As Vergara herself has said, it was frustrating to be considered less intelligent simply because her English wasn’t flawless. “Do you even know how smart I am in Spanish?” is one of her most quoted lines from “Modern Family,” highlighting the unfair assumption that an accent is equated to a lack of fluency or intellect.

Then came “Griselda,” a limited series on Netflix in which Vergara embraced her heritage and accent, and spoke primarily Spanish. In this role, she wasn’t just allowed — she was encouraged to speak Spanish. It was in this role, portraying the ruthless drug lord Griselda Blanco, that the world finally witnessed the full depth of Sofia’s acting talent. While it was unfortunate that a drug-trafficking narrative became the platform, her performance was incredible and showcased her talent beyond comedic roles.

This highlights a crucial point. Latinos are an integral part of American society, and Spanish is a widely spoken language. Diversifying representation goes beyond casting; it’s about creating stories where Latine experiences take center stage, even if those stories unfold primarily in Spanish. Latines are not a niche audience; they are the very fabric of America, and Spanish is a primary or secondary language for millions.

Vergara’s Emmy nomination wasn’t just a personal triumph; it was a beacon for change. Shows like “Narcos,” “La Casa de Papel,” and films like “Roma” have proven that the audience for projects that prominently feature Spanish dialogue not only exists but can indeed be a potent force. It’s time to break the mold and embrace the richness of multilingual storytelling, creating possibilities for more productions featuring talents like Vergara as well as up-and-coming Latine stars.

Vergara’s historic nomination is a pivotal moment not just for her, but for countless Latine actors yearning for the chance to showcase their full potential. This wasn’t just about an Emmy; it’s a call for Hollywood to embrace the richness of Latine stories and recognize that representation goes beyond just faces. It’s about shattering barriers and paving the way for a future using the power of language reflected around the vibrant tapestry of our diverse voices.

The 76th annual Emmy Awards are set to kick off at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15. With the big night only a couple of months away, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale got together to announce the nominees live from the El Capitan Theatre on July 17.

Following its Season 3 release, The Bear dominated nominations along with new fan-favorite, Shōgun. The Chicago-based food series even set a record for nominations in a single year in the comedy category with 23, a record previously held by 30 Rock with 22 nominations in 2009. Shōgun led the pack in the Drama category with 25 nominations.

Ayo Edebiri is just one of the reasons The Bear racked up so many nods, earning a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Though she won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for The Bear last year, this is her first time competing in the lead category.

Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson is going up against Edebiri to win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, competing alongside Jean Smart in Hacks, Kristen Wiig in Palm Royale, Maya Rudolph in Loot, and Selena Gomez in Only Murders in the Building.

The series also earned nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Tyler James Williams, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Sheryl Lee Ralph and Janelle James.

Sofia Vergara’s portrayal of drug queenpin Griselda Blanco earned not only her fifth Emmy Award nomination but made her become the first Latina in history to be nominated for Lead Actress in a Limited Series.

Joe Manganiello Disputes Sofía Vergara’s Claims; Says Divorce Wasn’t About Kids, ‘That’s Never Who I Was’

    [ad_1]

Joe Manganiello shared his side of the story about his divorce from ex-wife, Sofía Vergara. The duo parted ways in July last year after seven years of marriage.

The True Blood actor, 47, addressed the Modern Family star’s claims about their split in a recent interview with Men’s Journal. The latter, 52, told El País this January that she and Manganiello weren’t on the same page when it came to having children. She noted that the difference ultimately led to their divorce.

Read on to know how Manganiello tiffs with the claims made by the actress.

Joe Manganiello claims differing stances on having kids weren’t the reason for his divorce from Vergara

Vergara, who shares son Manolo, 32, with her high school sweetheart, revealed to the aforementioned outlet earlier this year that her marriage ended because her younger husband wanted to have children, whereas she did not want to become an older mother. She explained that she believed it was unfair to the child and while she respected those who choose to have kids later in life, it was no longer the right choice for her.

Now, Manganiello, for his part, in a Men’s Journal interview published July 16, addressed Vergara’s claims, saying they weren’t true to the core.

The Deal or No Deal Island host shared that he and Vergara did try to have kids for the first year and a half, and the duo even had a “huge conversation” on the topic while they first began dating. The actor claimed that he was okay with Sofía not wanting more kids. In his new interview, Manganiello recalled promising his ex-wife that he would never leave if their plans of having kids did not work out and per him, he never did.

While Manganiello acknowledged that he did want to have children, he said their disagreement on the matter wasn’t why things ended between him and Vergara. He said it did so because both of them grew apart, and he feels that such a thing happens sometimes.

Expressing his dismay over his character being wrongfully painted following his separation from Vergara, Manganiello said, “To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis and after nine years turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of, ‘Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I’m gone?’ That’s never who I was.”

A recap of Joe Manganiello and Sofía Vergara’s divorce

In July 2023, the duo released a joint statement saying after seven years of marriage, they’ve decided to part ways. The former couple politely asked for privacy at the time.

Manganiello was the one to file the papers in court. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage while listing the date of separation as July 2.

Since then, both Manganiello and Vergara have moved on in their respective lives. The former has been dating actress Caitlin O’Connor, while the latter has moved on with Justin Saliman, a revered orthopedic surgeon.

Getting a tattoo for a significant other that you end up breaking up with is a tough spot to be in — typically resulting in painful tattoo removal or some kind of cover-up. But Sofia Vergara found a third, more efficient way to deal with the tattoo she got in honor of her now ex, Joe Manganiello. During her appearance on The Talk this week with her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara to promote their new show Celebrity Family Food Battle, Vergara bemoaned her son’s 34 tattoos, so he fired back by pointing out that she herself has some ink. One, she explained, was the initial of her late brother, and the other, on her wrist, is a “J.” “This was Joe Manganiello’s initial, but now he’s gone,” she said to laughs from the audience, before explaining, “How lucky can I be that the guy I’m going out with now has the same initial, the new guy. Recycle!” As long as she only dates guys whose name starts with the letter “J,” she’s good to go.

Latinas make up a huge percentage of beauty consumers in the US, but much of the industry isn’t geared towards them, while many Latin-founded and -owned companies struggle to find investors. What advice do you have for Latinas in the beauty industry?

You have to keep going. It is harder, not only in the beauty community. Finding roles is harder. It’s everywhere. But I don’t take it personally. It just makes me want to do things to create more things, more opportunities for ourselves. Not just complaining, “Oh, they’re not making, doing, giving.” It’s all about, “They’re not, they’re not.” It’s like, “Okay, so let’s do it for ourselves!” For example, I work with Walmart, and I created a clothing line that is designed for Latinas’ bodies.

Toty is also very directed towards the Latina girl that loves beauty because we have all the shades for Latinas. With Transforma, the Latina girls need it because we get melasma and have specific concerns. I just try to include Latinas in everything I do. And you have to keep doing. We just have to keep trying.

Was there ever a role you wanted that you didn’t get?

    No.

    Well, then good! Perfect!

I mean, don’t forget, I haven’t been acting too much for a long time [outside of Modern Family]. I did Modern Family for 11 years and that was amazing, and now I’m doing Griselda and that is coming out in January on Netflix. That was a really crazy, challenging job, because I had to be three hours in hair and makeup before starting shooting, and then one hour removing the whole fucking thing before going to bed.

That was really crazy. I’m very excited because we’re going to do a huge press tour now in January, and there’s a lot of Latin actors in it. I think they’re the best actors in Latin America. We were able to have them for the series because it’s half in English and half in Spanish.

And finally, what is one piece of advice that you would give your younger self?

Protect from the fucking sun my chest! Because I forgot! And then work out more. I didn’t understand that working out was not just for looking great. I started working out very late. I hate it. I would’ve liked to realise that it was good for your health too.

Sofía Vergara Wore a Boob-Window Dress For Date Night, and I’m Inspired

    [ad_1]

After announcing that she would be divorcing Joe Manganiello after seven years of marriage, Sofia Vergara has jumped headfirst back into the dating game with some sultry looks that have all eyes on her. And seeing her latest party-ready outfit, I’m getting some major inspiration for the holidays that lies ahead. Vergara’s latest look was a head-turning bright red dress with a revealing slit down her chest that showed off a sliver of cleavage in an otherwise covered-up silhouette. It’s a balance of modesty and boldness that I personally find hard to maintain but Vergara does it seamlessly so I’ll be adding her to my holiday-style mood board.

Vergara’s statement-making Victoria Beckham dress is ankle length with an asymmetric hem. With slightly belled sleeves, it boasts a crew-cut neckline, giving way to a leaf-shaped slit that travels from shoulder to bust. She styled the look with metallic platform heels and kept her makeup natural with her hair parted in the middle and flowing down her back.

For this latest outing with her rumored beau, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Justin Saliman, Vergara wore a boob-window trend that has actually been seen on countless celebrities as of late. Back in January, Lori Harvey wore a black sleeveless dress boasting the cutout design flourish, followed by Florence Pugh, Kendall Jenner, and more. When it comes to celebrity style, we’re always on the hunt for a look that perfectly balances revealing details with more modest shapes and this new look is a trend that does just that.

Ahead, get a closer look at Vergara’s latest date-night outfit.

Sofía Vergara and Heidi Klum’s Matching Zebra Print Outfits Are Equally Wild

    [ad_1]

Friends don’t let friends wear zebra print alone. While filming “America’s Got Talent” on Aug. 29, Sofía Vergara and Heidi Klum stepped out in unexpectedly coordinated zebra print outfits. The two judges and self-described besties looked straight out of the wild, with Vergara strutting her stuff in a plunging zebra striped jumpsuit, and Klum dancing around in a sequin Halpern Studio minidress embellished with panels of multicolor zebra stripes. “My Sister 🥰 Love you,” Klum captioned an Instagram post, sitting next to Vergara in their wild ensembles.

With her animal theme in mind, Vergara decided to go big or go home. Styled by Rhonda Spies, she went all out with her head-to-toe striped look, keeping the theme going strong with silver and black bangles, sparkly earrings, and a matching black and white Effy ring. She finished the look with a crystal silver belt cinched right at the waist. Klum’s take was a bit more subtle by comparison, but the inspiration was still perfectly clear thanks to styling by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Klum accessorized her interpretation of zebra print with Jessica Rich zebra sandals and a striped zebra necklace.

Although one might assume such specific outfits were put together far in advance, the friends insisted that their coordinating looks were just a stroke of luck. “We’re always twinning, but you think that we planned this and we don’t. It just happens,” Vergara told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re connected, we’re like twins.” To her point, the two have had many other stylish moments with each other, previously partying in colorful plunging dresses. See how their most recent fashionable coincidence transpired ahead.

Most recently, Klum took to Instagram to capture moments from a girls’ night with Vergara and two other friends at celebrity hotspot Nobu Malibu. “Girlies 💖,” she captioned the post that showed all four ladies walking with cocktails and the Californian sunset as their background while donning their best figure-flattering ensembles.

For a fun evening of dinner and drinks, Klum wore a leopard look that featured a cleavage-baring neckline and a slit. She accessorized with matching Christian Louboutin pumps, triangle-shaped diamond earrings, and a snakeskin clutch. For her beauty look, she sported a natural face of makeup, her signature red manicure, and her blonde strands styled in a half-up, half-down ponytail. Meanwhile, Vergara rocked a flirty, strapless green midi dress with a plunging neckline, nude Louboutin platforms, and a chartreuse clutch and large diamond earrings.

The duo’s latest look isn’t their first time making a stylish appearance together. Last year, they tapped into the Barbiecore trend for their show’s semi-finals red carpet, with Klum wearing a shiny one-shoulder minidress with a puff sleeve and logo-heeled sandals and Vergara opting for a shimmering, hot pink midi gown and silver heels.

While the inseparable pair are quite the fashionable duo, they’re both style stars in their own right. Vergara is showcasing her well-documented affinity for sultry pieces, including thongkinis and the sheer corset and black jeans she wore for a Karol G concert. Klum has also embraced the thongkini trend, donning cherry-print swimsuits and string bikinis during her Italian vacation with husband Tom Kaulitz.

Another day, another daring trend for Sofía Vergara. After dancing in a sheer corset at the Karol G concert a few days prior, the actor stepped out for an Aug. 22 taping of “America’s Got Talent” in another standout look. While her outfit combination of a white linen button-down and ripped straight-leg jeans isn’t quite noteworthy at first glance, she paired the casual ensemble with towering translucent platform heels.

Vergara took photos with fans, walked down the street, and at one point, even skipped down the sidewalk in her footwear, all with an effortless ease. Her PVC sandals from Amina Muaddi come with a 5.5-inch heel, and to make things even more impressive, they’re mules, which means they have no strap support. It was as if she was wearing a pair of comfortable sneakers. She further accessorized with black cat-eye sunglasses from YSL, a green Dior tote, and gold earrings.

The clear-shoe trend has become so popular we’ve dubbed the style “Barbie-foot heels,” putting a name to translucent sandals or pumps that give the illusion of permanently arched soles instead of a shoe, similar to a Barbie doll. Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, and Hailey Bieber are just a few of the stars who’ve experimented with the bold footwear.

For the “America’s Got Talent” filming itself, Vergara changed into a yellow minidress lined with feathers, alongside fellow judge Heidi Klum, who wore a plunging red dress with chest cutouts.

Ahead, get a closer look at Vergara strolling in dramatic footwear.

Sofía Vergara’s stylish summer continues. On Aug. 19, the actor dressed to the nines in a sultry outfit for Karol G’s concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Again showcasing her love for corset silhouettes, Vergara wore a black Mônot bustier bodysuit featuring a boned bodice, sheer panels, and a plunging sweetheart neckline. She tucked the top into a pair of black ripped jeans worn unbuttoned and folded over, and finished the look with heels, a silver necklace, and a crossbody bag. In several photos and videos shared on Instagram, Vergara danced the night away alongside friends and several actors from her upcoming Netflix series “Griselda.”

Vergara has actually worn this outfit combination in the past, pairing the same Mônot bodysuit with matching ripped jeans for a holiday party in December with then-husband Joe Manganiello. Back then, she layered on a black blazer and accessorized with a crystal-embellished Valentino purse and silver chain choker. We love a celebrity who’s not afraid to rewear outfits.

The 51-year-old star has always been fashionable, but it seems she’s been sharing more glimpses into her wardrobe following her split from Manganiello last month. The same day news of their divorce broke, the “America’s Got Talent” judge posed in a blue leopard-print one-piece while vacationing in Italy. She also attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in rhinestone-lined separates and recently enjoyed a girls’ night out in West Hollywood wearing a blue bodycon midi dress and platform heels.

Sofía Vergara Stuns in a Blue Plunging Corset Dress For a Girls’ Night Out

    [ad_1]

Forget a classic LBD, Sofía Vergara’s idea of the perfect ensemble for a night out is a bright dress. On Aug. 13, the “Modern Family” actress was spotted outside celebrity-favorite restaurant Delilah in West Hollywood while celebrating sister Veronica’s birthday alongside other loved ones, including niece Claudia, friend Margarita, and her son Manolo. For the blissful occasion, Vergara stayed true to her sultry style with a strapless blue, figure-flattering midi dress that featured a cleavage-baring corset. Accessorized with black platform sandals and an unstructured clutch, sparkly silver jewelry cascaded down her right wrist, serving as a chic touch to the sleek outfit. She then finished things off with light, dewy makeup and her light brown hair was styled with her signature middle part. Meanwhile, her sister wore a green midi dress with small side cutouts at the waist and similar black accessories.

Although Vergara’s currently in the midst of a divorce from Joe Manganiello after seven years, the Colombian star has been showcasing a slew of vibrant outfits. She embraced pieces like low-rise denim and plunging tops in her early days, but her penchant for bold, glamorous clothing has heightened even more as of late. The former model kicked off the summer with a topless moment by the pool in a black thong bikini bottom, effortlessly nailing the viral thongkini trend. More recently, she enjoyed a vacation in Italy, where she celebrated her 51st birthday in body-baring silhouettes, including a one-shoulder white lace swimsuit with cutouts from OYE Swimwear, a blue leopard print swimsuit, and a high-cut neon suit that made the case for one-pieces. She subtly embraced the quiet luxury trend during the getaway with a white-and-blue floral dress featuring an even lower plunge and a white Chanel bag.

Sofía Vergara announces divorce from Joe Manganiello after 7 years – National | Globalnews.ca

    [ad_1]

Actors Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello are calling it quits after seven years of marriage.

The couple shared the news with PageSix on Monday, stating: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce.”

“As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the brief statement concluded.

An unnamed source also told PageSix the couple had been “growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”

The Modern Family star married Manganiello, 46, in 2015 during a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Fla. Photos posted by Vergara showed the bride walking down the aisle under a canopy of flowers to wed the Magic Mike actor.

The pair dated for six months before getting engaged in December 2014.

Vergara, who is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent, is holidaying in Italy with friends to celebrate her 51st birthday — but fans were quick to notice that Manganiello was absent from the festivities.

One user commented, “Is anyone else wondering where’s Joe?” under an Instagram post from Vergara that was captioned: “When life gives u [sic] lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them.”

Amid news of the divorce on Monday, Vergara posted photos of herself on a sunny patio in a blue one-piece swimsuit, notably without her wedding ring. The post has garnered more than 1.4 million likes.

On Vergara’s birthday on July 10, Manganiello posted a photo of him and the Colombian actress to his Instagram, with the simple caption: “Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía,” which means ‘happy birthday Sofía’ in Spanish.

At the time, the divorce had not been announced, but fans noticed something off about Manganiello’s birthday message.

“Joe, I hope you guys are ok, that was a very different (cold) happy birthday wish to your wife, (compared) to previous ones!” one user commented.

A source told PageSix that Vergara and her friends initially attempted to conceal the real reason Manganiello was not on vacation with his wife in Italy for her birthday.

“At the start of Sofia’s big birthday trip those close to her were explaining away Joe’s absence with the excuse that he was busy filming back on the East Coast; that excuse barely held up due to the writer’s strike, but once the actor’s strike took effect, he could have been on the first flight… and he quite clearly is not.

“So now no one out there with her is even attempting to pretend that it’s not over. It’s over. It’s done.”

  • Sofía Vergara Celebrates Her 51st Birthday in a Lacy White Swimsuit Worn 2 Ways

Sofía Vergara Celebrates Her 51st Birthday in a Lacy White Swimsuit Worn 2 Ways

    [ad_1]

Versatility is everything when it comes to a solid vacation wardrobe, and Sofía Vergara has clearly mastered what it means to pack for a summer getaway. On July 10, Vergara celebrated her 51st birthday in Italy while wearing a one-shoulder swimsuit adorned with lacy white cutouts. “What a bday day!!!” Vergara captioned photos of herself wearing the suit on Instagram. The piece, designed by OYE Swimwear, featured an asymmetrical design that created the illusion of a bandeau bikini.

Up close, the swimsuit consisted of a high-waisted white panel that hit just above her midriff. The bodice featured a mesh material with an abstract ripple design that mimicked waves crashing on the beach. An even closer peek at the piece revealed a smiley face embroidered in the fabric near Vergara’s shoulder. The back of the swimsuit mirrored the front, boasting clever patterns that made the final look romantic and classy.

In photos shared on her Instagram account, Vergara rode a boat out to sea in the swimsuit and soaked up the sun. While the suit’s tan lines might be unique, they’re absolutely worth it for a look this stunning. Of course, it’s not the only gorgeous outfit in her vacation bag — last week, the star went topless while wearing a black thongkini and lounging by the pool.

Later in the day, the versatile swimsuit doubled as a breezy summer top when Vergara layered it underneath a pair of white palazzo pants. In addition to saving space in her suitcase, the adaptable look served as a reminder that the way you style your swimwear can be a game changer. She paired the outfit with stacked bangles, a chunky gold chain-link necklace, sunglasses, and platform sandals.

While almost full coverage, Vergara’s one-piece swimsuit would make a flirty addition to any summer wardrobe. Take a closer look at her birthday ensemble above and check out more of our favorite swimsuits for all body types here.

Sofía Vergara’s Favorite Body-Contouring Cream Firmed My Skin in Under a Week

    [ad_1]

Even though it’s pretty expensive at over $100 per bottle, it’s obvious that this stuff is legit when you take a look at the ingredients. They include aloe, caffeine, forskohlii root, white willow bark, hyaluronic acid, green tea, and shea and cocoa butters. There are also two patented ingredients. The first is a plant-based retinol alternative, and the second is a molecule that acts as an antioxidant and skin protectant. Together, these ingredients work to tighten and firm the skin. The brand even claims it can reduce the appearance of cellulite. That’s certainly a bold claim and the one I was most interested in testing.

I have visible cellulite on my thighs. While it rarely bothers me (I’m a human, and humans often have cellulite), I was curious to see if this body-contouring cream could really deliver on smoothing and tightening. So I massaged it into my thighs in circular motions once a day after showering. I did this for about five days. The brand recommends using it twice a day for maximum results, but I simply didn’t remember to apply it anytime except after I showered, so I stuck with a once-a-day habit. I have to say the results speak for themselves.
