Twisted Sister has canceled all upcoming shows.

In a recent Instagram post, the band announced that all performances that were planned in celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary were canceled, following lead singer Dee Snider’s resignation.

“Due to the sudden and unexpected resignation of Twisted Sister’s lead singer Dee Snider brought on by a series of health challenges, the band has been forced to cancel all shows scheduled, beginning April 25th in Sao Paolo Brazil and continuing through the summer,” the band’s statement said.

The statement continued by addressing the future of the band, stating that it “will be determined in the next several weeks,” and encouraged fans to “stay tuned for updates.”

Fans of the iconic band took to the comment section to show their love for the musicians, with one writing, “Heartbreaking news. Endless respect for a man who gave everything to rock ‘n’ roll. We stand with you, Dee.”

Another wrote, “The legend of TS lives on forever. We don’t need any come back or anniversary shows. The albums, photos, videos and memories remain forever, for all to see and hear.”

A separate statement shared on the band’s website on Feb. 5 read that “a lifetime of legendarily aggressive performing has taken its toll on Dee Snider’s body and soul.” It revealed that Snider has been suffering from degenerative arthritis, and that he’s had multiple surgeries in order to perform.

“Adding insult to injury, Dee has recently found out the level of intensity he has dedicated to his life’s work has taken its toll on his heart as well,” the statement continued. “He can no longer push the boundaries of rock ‘n’ roll fury like he has done for decades. Says Snider, ‘I don’t know of any other way to rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self.’”

The statement concluded: “In the immortal words of Dirty Harry, ‘A man’s got to know his limitations.’ Sadly, Dee Snider now knows his.”

Twisted Sister first formed in the early 1970s, with Snider joining in 1976, bringing his talents as a vocalist and as a songwriter. Their first album with a major record company was released in 1983, but it was their 1984 album, “Stay Hungry” that made them a household name.

After years of success, the band disbanded in 1988, but reunited in 1997. Although they didn’t release new music, they performed together often.

When speaking with Fox News Digital in June 2024, Snider discussed the hard times that came after the band broke up, saying he “lost everything.”

Trevor Noah took aim at Nicki Minaj’s new association with President Donald Trump while opening the 68th annual Grammy Awards Sunday in Los Angeles, Calif.

After welcoming Justin and Hailey Bieber, Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams and Tyler the Creator to the 2026 Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena, Noah assured the crowd, “Nicki Minaj is not here.”

Some fans weren’t too pleased with Noah’s jokes and pleaded with the Grammys to re-evaluate hosting responsibilities.

“Who keeps picking him as a host?? Give us variety please and it’s music not politics,” one user wrote on Instagram.

  • John Mellencamp shares his unconventional advice to his children about work

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

While most parents push their kids toward careers, John Mellencamp is doing the opposite.

The 74-year-old rocker said he has never encouraged his children to get jobs, telling them they should focus on doing what makes them happy instead of working a 9-to-5 job.

“I’m the only father in the world that does not encourage their kids to work,” Mellencamp joked during a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience.” “It’s like, what do you want to go to work for?”

The “Jack & Diane” singer is the father of five children: daughter Michelle, 55, whom he shares with ex-wife Priscilla Esterline; daughters Teddi, 44, and Justice, 40, with ex-wife Victoria Granucci.

Mellencamp also has sons Hud, 31, and Speck, 30, with wife Elaine Irwin.

Despite his blunt suggestion, Mellencamp said his kids haven’t exactly followed his advice.

“It’s just like, f— that work stuff. Do what you want to do. You’re 31 years old. You’re handsome. You’re 31 years old, you could beat anybody up in the room,” he said. “But I think he’s getting to the age where he wants to get a job.”

Mellencamp admitted he has mixed feelings about his son potentially wanting to work, especially since Hud still lives near his father.

Mellencamp added that having his adult children close by is something he values more than independence or career milestones.

“It’s nice to be able to pick up the phone and have one of your kids come over quickly,” he added.

Teddi first revealed in March 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stage 2 melanoma. In April 2025, she shared that the cancer had progressed to Stage IV and spread to her brain and lungs.

She later underwent surgery to remove tumors from her brain, explaining at the time that doctors discovered additional tumors while performing the procedure.

John Mellencamp slammed modern politicians this week, saying no one has any “humility” or “respect” anymore.

“Don’t take yourself so f—— seriously and try to have some humility,” the “Jack & Diane” singer told Joe Rogan on Wednesday of his life philosophy.

“You know, that’s what I hate about politics today,” he continued. “There’s no f—— humility. How about some humility? I don’t care what party you’re with. I don’t give a f—. But show some humility and some respect for each other, which they just don’t. They just don’t, it’s terrible.”

  • Looking back on Bob Weir’s performance the night Jerry Garcia died

As the music world reflects on the legacy of Grateful Dead frontman Bob Weir, it highlights his connection to New Hampshire on the day a fellow rock legend passed away. Weir was scheduled to perform the night of Aug. 9, 1995, at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, one of a long list of performances by legendary music artists at the venue in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was also booked the night after Weir’s Grateful Dead co-founder, Jerry Garcia, passed away. After the news broke, Ballroom director Andrew Herrick says the venue suddenly had to rush to find solutions to accommodate a growing crowd outside as much as the one inside.”Our box office basically hit the panic button,” he said. “We sold this show out in five seconds, and then another few thousand people showed up.”Herrick said that the night was peaceful, despite the crowd size. • Michael Bolton in ‘very good health’ as daughters share positive update on brain cancer battle

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Michael Bolton’s daughters shared a positive update on his health as the singer continues to fight glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

The 72-year-old two-time Grammy Award winner previously revealed that he was diagnosed with glioblastoma in December 2023 after undergoing emergency surgery that resulted in doctors removing Bolton’s brain tumor in its entirety.

Bolton underwent a second brain surgery in January 2024 following an infection and finished radiation and chemotherapy treatment in October of that year. He now undergoes MRIs every two months to ensure his tumor hasn’t returned, as glioblastoma has a high recurrence rate.

During a recent interview with AARP, Bolton’s three daughters, Isa, Holly and Taryn, who have become his primary caregivers, shed some light on his cancer battle.

“We’re proud and happy to update anyone who has been interested in following [our Dad’s] journey that he is in very good spirits and very good health,” Isa told the outlet.

“He has a lot of challenges, and we do have great days and some tough days, but in general, he’s very strong,” she added. “His mobility and cognition have been terrific. So, we’re in a really good place right now.”

In an email to AARP, the “When a Man Loves a Woman” singer shared that he was “feeling deeply grateful” and treasuring the time he was spending with his family, including his daughters and six grandchildren.

“This past year has tested me in ways I never imagined, but it’s also made me more aware of the moments that fill life with meaning: having meals with my family, hearing my grandkids laugh, stepping outside on a beautiful day and just taking it in,” Bolton said.

Bolton shares Isa, 50, Holly, 48, and Taryn, 46, with his ex-wife Maureen McGuire. He is also a grandfather of six.

According to AARP, Isa, Holly and Taryn have each taken on significant caregiving responsibilities, including helping with Bolton’s daily care, providing emotional support and coordinating his medical and professional needs while he focuses on his health.

Taryn and her daughters reside with Bolton full-time in his Westport, Connecticut, home, where he’s lived for more than 30 years. Isa spends three days a week at the house, frequently accompanied by her sons, while Holly — who lives in California and is a mother to one son — travels in monthly for a week to help with hands-on duties.

Bolton told AARP that having his daughters by his side during his cancer battle and recovery “means more than I could ever put into words.”

“My daughters have been constant in a way that grounds me,” he said. “On the harder days, they help me stay centered; on the lighter ones, they bring out the laughter that makes everything feel possible again. They remind me of who I am and what’s worth fighting for.”

Isa explained that she and her sisters banded together following Bolton’s diagnosis and worked as a team to protect his privacy.

“Most families — most people — would be able to rely on friends and family, to hold them and to hug them and to support them and care for them,” she said. “We became a very small island.”

Isa admitted that caring for Bolton during his cancer journey has been challenging at times for his family. She recalled that the “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” hitmaker experienced a “significant personality change” following his brain surgery.

At the time, Isa remembered that her youngest son told her, “I’m kind of scared of G-Pa.” However, she told AARP that the personality change, a common side effect of brain surgery, was short-term. She said that after practicing yoga and undergoing physical therapy as part of his healing regimen, Bolton recovered his usual “funny” personality.

“The boys are more comfortable, but I do think that some children can be alarmed and disconcerted by those changes and that needs to be recognized as well,” she said.

Isa explained that her own connection with Bolton had changed after becoming one of his caregivers.

“The relationship dynamic does shift so profoundly,” she said. “You have an opportunity to work through some things that were challenging and to recognize that you don’t have to be put into a position that maybe you had pigeonholed yourself into in the relationship. Thind, a 35-year-old DLI student, leaves behind a wife and was last seen with his nephew. Heredia said, “They only think about getting him back. • High surf drags three people off Big Sur beach, the second such incident in a week

    [ad_1]

High surf swept three people off the beach and into the ocean in Big Sur on Saturday, the second such incident at Garrapata State Park in a week.

Two women and a man were swept off the rocks at Sobrenas Point around 3 p.m., according to a news release from the California State Parks.

Both women made it back to shore on their own and were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, but a man who was with them, believed to be about 30 years old, was still missing.

“At around 4:24 p.m., a US Coast Guard helicopter spotted what appeared to be a body in the ocean but due to the high surf, lost visual,” parks officials said.

The search was called off around 7 p.m. due to darkness and was scheduled to resume Sunday morning.

The missing man was wearing a white turban, black shorts, black shirt and a black vest.

The National Weather Service warned that waves between 13 and 18 feet were expected at Big Sur and Monterey beaches through Monday night, and cautioned beachgoers to stay off rocks and away from the water’s edge.

“Sneaker waves can unexpectedly run significantly farther up the beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties,” the weather service advised. “Rip currents are typically more frequent and stronger in the vicinity of jetties, inlets, and piers.”

Last week, a 7-year-old girl was swept into the ocean at the same park. Both she and her 39-year old father died after he jumped in to try to save her.

  • Morrissey cancels weekend shows after receiving ‘credible threat’ on his life during world tour

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Morrissey canceled two shows in the United States after receiving threats on his life.

The 66-year-old musician was scheduled to perform two shows on the East Coast over the weekend, but announced on Instagram he was forced to cancel due to a “credible threat.” He was set to perform at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Friday night and at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston Saturday.

“In recent days, there has been a credible threat on Morrissey’s life,” the Instagram post read. “Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of both the artist and audience, tonights engagement at Foxwoods has been cancelled. We appreciate your understanding.”

Shortly after announcing the show in Connecticut was canceled, a second post appeared confirming the show in Massachusetts was also canceled. The post promised that “all tickets will be refunded automatically.”

THE WHO’S ROGER DALTREY IS ‘NERVOUS ABOUT MAKING IT TO THE END OF THE TOUR’ AMID HEALTH STRUGGLES

The former Smiths frontman, whose full name is Steven Patrick Morrissey, is in the middle of a world tour. He is scheduled to perform in various cities across the U.S. before taking the tour to Mexico at the end of October.

Fox News Digital reached out to Morrissey’s reps for comment.

News of the cancellation comes after he was threatened in Ottawa, Canada. According to the Ottawa Citizen, a 26-year-old man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly threatening to kill the musician ahead of his performance at the CityFolk music festival in Ottawa.

According to the outlet, the young man posted the threat on social media.

“Steven Patrick Morrissey when you perform at TD Place here in Ottawa next week on the evening of September 12th, 2025 at about 9pm, I will be present at the venue in the audience and I will attempt to shoot you many times and kill you with a very large gun that I own illegally,” he allegedly wrote.

Morrissey went on to perform at the festival as planned.

Many artists have canceled concerts after threats against them or their audiences, including Marilyn Manson, The Chicks and, most recently, Taylor Swift.

Swift canceled three shows in Vienna, Austria, while on the European leg of the Eras Tour in August 2024 after authorities discovered a planned terror attack targeting her concerts.

“We live in a time in which violent means are being used to attack our Western way of life,” Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer wrote on X at the time. “Islamist terrorism threatens security and freedom in many Western countries. This is precisely why we will not give up our values such as freedom and democracy, but will defend them even more vehemently.”

In response to the alleged terror plot planned for the concert, Swift took to social media to address her fans, calling the situation “devastating” and saying the reason for the cancellations “filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt.”

“I was heartened by the love and unity I saw in the fans who banded together,” she wrote on Instagram. “I decided that all of my energy had to go toward helping to protect the nearly half a million people I had coming to see the shows in London.

“My team and I worked hand in hand with stadium staff and British authorities every day in pursuit of that goal, and I want to thank them for everything they did for us. Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows.”

  • 5 Songs By WILLOW Your Playlist Needs

    [ad_1]

We took another artist deep dive to help you give your playlist the ultimate Fall refresh! Best known for getting us all to whip our hair in 2010 (‘Whip My Hair’), WILLOW is a fierce, yet underrated artist who has captured our hearts with highly percussive and emotional songs. Earning a much-deserved spot on your newly curated playlist.

Discover underrated yet revolutionary music and heal your inner self by adding these WILLOW hits to your playlist. You will thank us later.

    ‘the fear is not real’

‘the fear is not real’ from her seventh studio album, empathogen, is just the start to WILLOW’s greatness. Featuring ethereal vocals, we get the perfect combination of soft rhythmic guitar paired with the right tempo to get your head bobbing. Willow reflects on her participation in the metaphorical roles of the “Prey,” “Hunter,” “Child,” and “Mother” as she navigates her internal challenges. You know what they say, ignorance is bliss. That is, until she is faced with the silence.

“In the silence I can hear inside my mind. In the silence I can’t wear my disguise.”

The layered harmonies on this track give a fresh and crisp sound that is purely irresistible. Trust us on this one, you will levitate.

    ‘false self’

‘false self’ begins with energetic and fast-paced percussion that transforms into a tasteful genre blend of soul and rock. This one is upbeat, but don’t let that fool you. ‘false self’ digs in deep, following the “blissful ignorance” themes found in ‘the fear is not real’ and furthering our understanding of the inner battle WILLOW faces. A change needs to be made, but she is unable to do so. Riding the emotional rollercoaster of this song will have you asking if the version of yourself that you know is real.

WLLOW sets herself apart from her peers with the production quality on this track, focusing on dynamic vocal layering traveling between your left and right headphones.

    ‘symptom of life’

Taking a newfound, mature approach, WILLOW starts to acknowledge the beauties that come along with life. “Looking into the shadow, now I notice the light. Magic is real, when you see it inside, you decide.”

Dissonant piano chords accompany her haunting vocals, which make up the high intensity on this track, drawing you in for more. Don’t be afraid to hit the replay button on this one!

    ‘curious/furious’

WILLOW begins accepting that life includes both highs and lows, never just one or the other.

“Never wear a frown because life doesn’t choose either side, win or lose, right or wrong. It’s a battle that’s all in your mind, you better open wide.”

Falling back on her rock roots, there is an amazing guitar solo to rock out to, creating the perfect song closing. What’s a better way to work through your emotions than headbanging?

    ‘Split’

WILLOW gives a raw and emotional performance in all of her songs. However, this song in particular reaches a different level of vulnerability. WILLOW shows us a side to herself that she had hoped she’d never share through songwriting, and that is heartbreak. This rock ballad has us feeling all of the bitter feels of a breakup wrapped up in a sweet treat of a song for us all.

  • The Best and Nastiest of Slipknot, According to Clown

The Best and Nastiest of Slipknot, According to Clown

    [ad_1]

“Other bands would get steps into our bus and be, like, ‘Jesus, what is that smell?’ That smell’s money, man.”

Slipknot has one of the grodiest lores in rock music. In their early years, they made a habit of huffing dead birds pre-show, then shitting and vomiting on stage, before throwing it into the crowd. By 1999, the members each had an assigned number, mask, and killer carny costume. Against all odds, their eponymous debut — a nine-man grumble of thrash and death metal — found mainstream success, becoming the fastest-selling album in the genre’s history.

For Shawn Crahan (aka Clown or #6), the band’s co-founder, percussionist, and overall creative strategist, this has all served a spiritual purpose. Almost all of Slipknot’s iconic attributes can be credited to Crahan. Through his vision — the masks, the boilersuits — he left no unscrew unturned. If the world wouldn’t sit up and take notice, he’d break down the door and force them to.

Slipknot have since gone multi-platinum, founded their own music festival, and stretched far beyond their parochial metal scene into persistent cultural relevance. (They also stopped pooping and puking on stage.) They’ve become a major influence, both sonically and aesthetically, on everyone from Code Orange to Playboi Carti. During a break from the band’s 25th anniversary tour, Crahan broke down some of the grossest and riskiest moments of the band’s decadeslong career. “I’m not happy with everything I’ve put out there,” he said, “but at least I’ve helped people disappear and break down their wall.”

Big question. Corey can go from screaming to singing in his sleep. His confidence is on another level. I could point out so many songs where he can bring you to your knees. It’s hard for me to choose between his melody and his aggressive tones. But I would say — and I’m not saying it because it’s a big hit — that “Duality” would be up there. From the beginning of the song, he’s doing things a lot of people wouldn’t dare do. Boom, he’s into the melody. It’s like he jumped out of a plane and landed right into the song. And then he’s got this crazy voice with these loud effects and he gets to put on a different persona. How does he go through all of that?

Oh my God. I don’t even know where to begin. I mean, there’s audio, and then there’s video too. We have tons of incomplete concepts, some just under completion. There’s a lot of Slipknot I wish the culture could have. There is so much I create throughout my career but very, very little is actually put out there.

Someone recently brought up the album Look Outside Your Window. It was a piece of art Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and myself created in 2008. We made it up the hill from the studio that we recorded All Hope Is Gone in, in Perry, Iowa. No one believes that it even exists, or that it’s ever going to come out. I’ve always talked very highly of it and I’ve always said that you will never hear Corey Taylor sing like this. It’s just a whole different approach in my mind. Recently, I approved all the art. I’ve also worked really hard to get it mixed and mastered.

    Being born.

“The Devil In I.” It has all the ingredients for a great recipe: knives, prosthetics, wheelchairs, straitjackets, explosions, blood, stunts.

If you watch the video for “The Devil in I,” it looks like I hang myself. Legally, they would not let me do that — it’s a stunt double — even though I offered. But it was too dangerous. I wanted to be on fire at the same time.

I was 14 years old. I was in a mall with my girlfriend at the time. We always went to Spencer’s because they had little adult novelty toys. Then I saw this mask in the clearance bin. I remember it exactly. I put it on and I immediately understood what it was like to disappear. I was gone and the real me had just shown up. It was so natural. From that day on, I molded my face to make my own masks. I have always been the Clown no matter how the mask has changed. The essences are always there. But it’s always ironic to me that the most identifiable clown mask is the one I didn’t make for myself. It seems like that’s sort of how brainwashed the world is, that this familiar entity that a corporation made has become part of my own merchandising. I still have that baby. I kept it in a safe in Iowa before I moved to Palm Springs, and now it stays hidden away in a bag in the studio. It’s shrunken a bit from all the stage lights. I know this is going to sound a bit weird, but I always though I was going to sell it for a lot of money. If I were to donate it, there’s no guarantee that it’d be taken seriously or protected. You know, if the Smithsonian would take it, I would give it to them, but I don’t know if they’re interested.

I thought every time would be my last. But the obvious change came during the 2019 We Are Not Your Kind chapter. My body had just taken enough abuse.

Oh God, I mean, it’s pretty bad. Just about every body fluid has gone onto it. It’s rolled around on every floor in every city. It’s rubbed up against human beings in the middle of a pit. It’s a disease on its own. All the masks are. When we did Ozzfest in ‘98 we were on a bus with 16 people. We didn’t have any money. No one knew who Slipknot was. We weren’t even getting a hotel room. I had to steal showers, waiting for the fucking Deftones to play so I could sneak in and use their filthy ass stuff. There was this lounge on the bus, with, like, six drawers. We put our masks in there. I can remember other bands getting two steps into our bus and being like, Jesus, what is that smell? That smell’s money, man.

There’s a lot, but the one that’s really done me in was when I ripped my bicep in half on stage by hitting a keg with a bat. If you know anything about a bicep, it’s basically two wires, one on each side that holds the muscle in place — kind of like rubber bands that connect up by your shoulder. I ripped both those fuckers. So my bicep was actually on my forearm. Like, it just dropped down and my skin fell down with it. People would vomit when they saw it. I had surgery, and I lost 25 percent of that arm. I’ll go to grab something on the top shelf in the fridge, think I’ve got it, and then whatever it is will just fall. It hurts. I have swelling on my right side where this dissolvable screw was. Out of all the injuries, that one really is a daily reminder.

I miss them. You know, it’s too much. I feel bad even doing interviews about our 25th anniversary because most of it lives with them. Their contributions to my life are incomprehensible. Yet here I am. It’s really hard for me. I don’t like that they don’t get to talk. They are the two people you should be talking to right now. Now it’s all memory. And, you know, not that many people try to take Paul from me but a lot of people try to take Joey from me because of the circumstances. But none of the band ever talk about that. Why would we? That’s our brother. It’s hard today because so many people have all these opinions on what Joey’s thoughts might have been of me. A lot of humans like to tell you exactly what they know that I don’t know. All I can tell you is that those are my brothers, and, love me or hate me, it doesn’t matter. We did some shit.

Whenever we play “Vermillion” I think of Paul. I just remember him upstairs in the mansion whittling away at that song for weeks. He was a genius. And Joey, God, it’s just about everything. Right now we’re playing “Scissors” and you can only play that song with his kind of ability, and we haven’t been there for a long, long time. We’re finally back there. It was a song where he’d really just go off. But even a song like “Spit It Out,” the way Joey demanded the attention in that song. He was like the conductor — everyone paid attention to him. I miss that.

“And now it’s over” from “Prelude 3.0”

Jordison was fired from the band in 2013, citing personal reasons.
