  • All the Stars at the 2025 F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix

    [ad_1]

As Ferris Bueller once told us, life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it.

Formula 1 racing can move even faster, and no celebrity wanted to miss it. Gordon Ramsay and Nina Dobrev were among the crowd that descended on Las Vegas this week for the 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, not to mention popular drivers like Lewis Hamilton. Twenty drivers from 10 teams will compete to see who is the vroomiest of the vroom, completing 50 laps of a circuit that will see them whizzing past Sin City landmarks like the Bellagio fountain and the Sphere as drivers hit speeds of 200-plus miles per hour on the Strip.

Of course, the championship race isn’t just about the race itself: The Grand Prix schedule is jam-packed with VIP events for guests to enjoy while they’re not watching the drivers, and there are plenty of chances for stars to show off their fashion, not to mention enjoy the city’s top-notch entertainment and culinary scenes.

They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but for this bevy of celebrity F1 fans, we’ll make an exception, just this once. Ahead, some of our favorite stars who came to the races.

  • Is Nina Dobrev TikTok Telling on Shaun White in the Aftermath of Their Breakup? An Investigation

    [ad_1]

Parting is such sweet sorrow, but post-breakup tea isn’t such a terrible flavor profile either, as it turns out. Retired Olympic snowboarder Shaun White and actor Nina Dobrev broke up after five-and-a-half years of dating—the final 11 months of which they were engaged—media outlets confirmed last week. Neither White nor Dobrev has commented publicly on the split. What’s done is, as they say, done, so why are the amateur sleuths of the internet pledging their allegiance to Team Nina and shrieking about Bob the Builder while discussing whether they need to go full Vampire Diaries on White?

Wondering how a diminutive cartoon handyman fits into this narrative? God, isn’t everyone. Dobrev posted a TikTok on September 5 (the split was reported nearly a week later, on September 11) lip-synching to trending audio that invoked Robert T. Builder’s informal name and retroactively raised suspicions of Shaun-foolery along with eyebrows in the wake of the breakup news.

“How do you sleep at night knowing people don’t like you? With no underwear in case they want to kiss my ass,” said the audio over which Dobrev lip-synched to the camera. “What’s your advice for women trying to fix their man? Listen, Bob the Builder, he’s got 10 other women trying to fix him too, and you all look like a damn construction crew.”

For those wondering, the audio appears to originate from an account called Bad Bitch Granny and features two bougie elderly white women on a plane holding dogs that give off an air of canine fanciness. One of the women—and both dogs—are wearing sunglasses. Throughout the full clip, six different beverages, by my count, appear onscreen in varying configurations and states of fullness. You get the drift. The next question in that video, after the point where Dobrev’s audio cuts off, pertains to what to tell attention seekers. “Roses are red, violets are blue, I don’t give a big fuck what you do.” Well well.

While reps for Dobrev and White did not respond to Vanity Fair’s request for comment, an unnamed source told Us Weekly that “Nina is devastated” in the aftermath. “They had finally started planning the wedding and things were in motion,” this “insider” said.

Now is a fantastic time to remember that media literacy and critical thinking apply just as much to analyzing celebrity news as political reporting. The same day that Dobrev posted the TikTok in question, September 5, she also posted an Instagram carousel of photos of her Greek getaway with White, featuring some lovey-dovey cuddle-time schmoop, sheet masks, and enviably aquamarine waters. Ooh, ahh, see how it sparkles and wonder whether Dobrev enjoyed People We Meet on Vacation, her pictured reading material. Given that the two pieces of social content were posted on the same day, it seems semi-reasonable to wonder whether something happened after the Insta to prompt the Tok, with news of the split becoming public later. Did White do something that made the answer to Bob the Builder’s evergreen question—“Can we fix it?”—“No, we can’t”?

A look into the guts of both the TikTok and Instagram post reveals exactly when each of the pieces of content was posted. So which came first? According to the metadata, the Instagram post was shared at 19:11 UTC (3:11 p.m. ET) and the TikTok was posted the same day at, drumroll please…18:04 UTC (2:04 p.m. ET), meaning the TikTok preceded the Instagram post by about an hour. The theory fit until it simply didn’t.

Do with that what you will. Also remember that you probably don’t know either of these people and should examine your investment in their relationship as closely as I did the code, and we’ll see you on the next episode of True Detective: Internet.

  • Nina Dobrev on Adult Friendships, Keeping It Real, and Her Style Evolution

Nina Dobrev on Adult Friendships, Keeping It Real, and Her Style Evolution

    [ad_1]

Juggling the ebbs and flows of adult friendships is something Dobrev knows well. “People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime,” she says. For Dobrev, whose life and schedule are as busy and unpredictable as it gets, planning has always been key to cultivating deeper relationships. She’s great with a schedule and makes a point to pencil in time with friends when she’s in their area. FaceTime and social media have been a big help too. “I’m very lucky I have incredible friendships,” Dobrev says. “They are also very understanding of the fact that we’re not going to be the kind of friends who talk every single day about every single thing.”

Dobrev is nothing if not a realist, and she’s definitely not one to beat around the bush. It’s that directness that makes her such a great friend, actor, and producer and what also attracts her to like-minded creative folks such as Cram and stylist Kate Young. “I say how I feel, and I don’t sugarcoat too much, and that’s both my Achilles heel and one of my greatest assets,” she says.

Young, like Dobrev, is straightforward and direct, and that kind of personality can come in handy when the right red carpet look is on the line. The A-list stylist, who also works with Dakota Johnson, Michelle Williams, and Julianne Moore, has been an ideal match for the actor, both in personality and fashion tastes. Dobrev can confidently say that her style has evolved dramatically since the two started working together. She cringes thinking back on some of her earlier red carpet looks. “I don’t know why nobody had an intervention with me,” she laughs. These days, the two have fun playing with a variety of styles and silhouettes, whether it’s a stunning gold sequin gown for the CFDA Fashion Awards, a leggy skirt-and-blazer combo by Nensi Dojaka, or an unexpected Chanel denim-on-denim look. Again, is there anything Dobrev can’t do? Young has been instrumental in creating a more elevated and chic vibe for Dobrev. “She’s the ultimate cool girl,” she says of Young. We can say the same about Dobrev.

  • Nina Dobrev Reflects on Lessons Learned Doing Degrassi: The Next Generation

Nina Dobrev Reflects on Lessons Learned Doing Degrassi: The Next Generation

    [ad_1]

Nina Dobrev rose to stardom following her role as Mia Jones in Degrassi: The Next Generation revival TV series. Dobrev reflected on the role, noting how lucky she was and how much of a foundation it was for her.

Speaking to ComingSoon, Dobrev revealed that she was “very naive” at the time while starring in the show and that she’s able to look back now and realize how lucky she was for the “mini bootcamp” experience in acting.

“I was very naive and didn’t really realize how lucky I was at the time,” said Dobrev. “But it was kind of like a mini bootcamp in a way. I was so green. I was so new. I really didn’t know what a mark was, or where to stand, or what eyelines were, where to look… how to do anything, really!”

Dobrev’s time on Degrassi helped form a big foundation for her

Dobrev also said that her time on the show was big because it taught her “everything” and gave her a great foundation for her future acting career.

“I learned everything on that show. It taught me and gave me that foundation — and that experience — on set that I needed to later lead a show of my own,” Dobrev said. “I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it or do it as well as I did. I think I would’ve been a lot more overwhelmed if I hadn’t had that prior experience.”

Dobrev starred in the series from 2006 to 2009 and was a recurring character in Season 6 before becoming a main character for Seasons 7 and 8. Degrassi: The Next Generation was a revival of the Degrassi Junior High series that aired from 1987 to 1989 and from 2001 to 2009.

  • The Las Vegas Grand Prix Was Basically a Runway Show—11 Looks That Prove It

The Las Vegas Grand Prix Was Basically a Runway Show—11 Looks That Prove It

    [ad_1]

One scroll through Instagram this weekend—whether you’re a fan of Formula One like I am or have only ever seen an icon for its docuseries Drive to Survive pop up on Netflix (likely after you wrapped up Beckham)—and you no doubt caught a glimpse of the happenings around the Las Vegas Grand Prix. That’s because in addition to the sport growing at a record pace in the U.S. thanks to the series, countless fashion collabsF1 content creators, and more, celebrities and influencers were a dime a dozen during the three-day race weekend, at pop ups, parties, and of course, the track, which took over the Las Vegas strip, spanning from Treasure Island to Planet Hollywood, past the Mirage, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan casinos. Even Monaco, one of the oldest and most prestigious F1 venues, doesn’t bring in the calibre of names that Las Vegas did this weekend.

Mercedes AMG Petronas driver and seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton led the charge as he so often does, rocking up to the paddock for media day wearing an all-black Valentino look from the French house’s S/S 24 menswear collection, with a pearl choker from the brand as well as Versace boots. (If you’re a fan of Hamilton’s style, follow @hamazinglew on Instagram to be the first to know when a new look drops.) The following day, he wore another runway look, this time from Pharrell’s S/S 24 collection for Louis Vuitton with IWC’s Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Lake Tahoe watch and Bottega Veneta’s drop aviators (that Kendall Jenner was just seen wearing as well). Lewis Hamilton Fashion Week as some online have penned the weekend continued with custom Bottega Veneta, custom Burberry by Daniel Lee, andcustom Las Vegas-inspired bomber jacket by Donatella Versace herself. “A true Versace man: Bold, fearless and with amazing style,” Versace captioned a photo of the jacket on Instagram. “I looooove that jacket on you, Lewis Hamilton. Always on your team!”

  • Nina Dobrev jokes new bangs were a ‘mistake’ as she drops hilarious bedhead TikTok video

Nina Dobrev jokes new bangs were a ‘mistake’ as she drops hilarious bedhead TikTok video

    [ad_1]

Vampire Diaries’ fame Nina Dobrev is known for her iconic straight hair, and elegant style throughout the eight seasons of the show. In the early 2010s, teenage girls would try day and night to replicate her looks. The actor opted to try something new with her look, and it seems like it didn’t go all that well. Nina Dobrev made a funny TikTok where she confessed that getting bangs was a mistake.

Nina Dobrev regrets getting bangs in new TikTok video

Dobrev posted a hilarious TikTok showing her fans what she looks like right after waking up. “I woke up this morning and thought to myself, “Whose idea was it for me to get bangs,” the actor said in a cartoonish voice while still laying on her pillow.

She shifts the camera to her dog giving her a blank stare and said, “My dog looked at me and said ‘Bitch, shut the f–k up.”

The hilarious agony didn’t end for Dobrev just there. Her boyfriend Shaun White, 36-year-old five-time olympian, entered the room, only to take one look at the actor and quickly leave, closing the door behind him.

At the end of the short video, Nina explained, “My boyfriend came home, and after looking at me for one second, said, ‘Oh sorry, wrong apartment.”

With her bedhead still on full display, the actor admitted that getting bangs was a mistake. “I can see now this was a mistake,” she said.

The funny TikTok garnered over 1.6 million views and 34,000 likes. Dobrev stepped out into public with her new haircut which got her fans going ballistic over the transformation. She posted the whole process of getting her haircut on Instagram. In the caption, the actress wrote, “Chop Chop.”

Nina Dobrev tried bangs back in 2017-18 as well

During a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dobrev revealed that she made the decision to get bangs just two hours before walking the red carpet for her film Flatliners. She described the choice as spontaneous, as she was getting ready for her role as a Parisian artist and enthusiastically embraced the idea of sporting the classic French cut.

Despite effortlessly pulling off the bangs look, Dobrev admitted in a 2018 interview with PEOPLE that it has occasionally posed challenges in her daily life. Particularly, it added considerable time and effort to her morning routine.

Meanwhile, since the ending of the long-running Vampire Diaries back in 2017, the actor has been busy with different projects. She launched an organic alcohol brand called Fresh Vine in 2021 alongside her friend Julianne Hough. Nina has also starred in multiple movies since then like, Dog Days, Lucky Day, etc.
