Kristin Cavallari is sharing what she’s learned from her romantic relationships over the years, and the one rule she’s set for herself.

While answering fan questions during a recent episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” Cavallari discussed the difference between infatuation and love, explaining, “I have gotten confused by infatuation far too many times.”

“I think they say infatuation is anywhere from three to six months, so I have taken this stance in the last few years that I am not allowed to say I love you to, make long-term plans with anyone, introduce them to my kids, like nothing for the first six months because I am someone who gets very excited when I like someone because it is so rare that I am attracted to someone.”

She went on to say that she gets “fully consumed by” her infatuations and admits she has “said I love you to people I probably shouldn’t have” because she was “confused” by her feelings.

Cavallari said she doesn’t allow herself to tell anyone she loves them until they’ve been dating for six months or longer. (MEGA/GC Images)

When it comes to being in love, she admits she has only felt that way about three people in her life, those three being “my ex-husband, my boyfriend Nick when I was like 19, 20, Steven, high school boyfriend,” and potentially her eighth grade boyfriend, joking, “I don’t know if you can be in love in eighth grade, but if you can, then I definitely was.”

“I love absolutely love all of my friends, but I don’t want to make out with them right like I think that’s the difference between just loving someone and being in love with someone is at least for me. I think the difference is just that attraction piece,” she explained.

Ultimately, she said, “time will tell” if the infatuation felt at the beginning of the relationship will turn into love, adding, “everyone that I ended up falling in love with I also was infatuated with in the beginning.”

Cavallari was married to her ex-husband, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, from June 2013 to October 2020. The former couple share three children together: Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 10.

Following her breakup with Cutler, Cavallari announced she was dating TikTok creator Mark Estes, with an Instagram post featuring the two of them, with the caption, “He makes me happy.”

She received backlash online after going Instagram official, from people who had an issue 13-year age gap. In response, she posted a TikTok in which she lip-synced to a sound asking, “So what are you gonna do about it,” and then, “Are you gonna arrest me? Are you gonna give me a ticket?”

“When they’re all up in arms that [I’m] dating a 24-year-old. Andddd?” she wrote in the caption.

The two later broke up in September 2024, after seven months of dating.

“I just know long-term he needs to experience life. He’s young. I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience,” she said. “I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then. Those are crucial years. Those are formative years. They’re when you find yourself, and he needs to be able to do that.”

  • Kristin Cavallari admits her 9-year-old and 11-year-old kids still sleep in her bed weekly

Kristin Cavallari wears many hats, but being a mom is number one.

During Tuesday’s episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, the mom of three — who shares Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9, with her ex-husband, Jay Cutler — opened up about the challenges of motherhood and explained why her children still sleep in her bed.

“[Jaxon] was the easiest labor and delivery on the planet, and he was a really hard baby,” Cavallari, 38, said. “So maybe, maybe that was the universe just being like, ‘We’re going to make [labor] a breeze because the next eight years with him are going to be really tough.’ And I love my little Jaxy, but man, he was a really hard baby, and he was kind of hard until he was about eight.”

“This kid has also always had FOMO [fear of missing out]. Even when he was little, I mean, he would only take 30-minute naps,” Cavallari continued. “Thirty minutes on the dot. This kid is up no matter what, no matter where we are, nothing mattered. No outside circumstances mattered. This kid only took 30-minute naps, and I’d be like, ‘Oh my god, Jaxon, please, please.’”

This posed a challenge when it came to sleep training her middle child.

“Once Jaxon could walk so well, let’s say, right after a year, when he realized, ‘Oh, wait, I can get out of my bed,’” she added. “Once he realized he could get out of this bed, he came in my room — I’m not kidding, guys — every single night for four years, I’m not joking. Every single night for four years.”

Now, said Cavallari, she lets Jaxon and her youngest, Saylor, sleep in her bed one night a week.

“I do let him sleep with me. Now it’s one night a week,” Cavallari admitted. “So when school started, I told Jaxon and Saylor, you guys get one night a week with me.”

“The problem is in the morning, because I get up before them, and then I have to be so quiet in my bathroom, like brushing my teeth, and washing my face, and getting dressed,” she explained. “I want to be able to have the freedom to move about my room and get dressed in the morning without worrying about waking someone up.”

  • Kristin Cavallari Apologizes To Stephen Colletti For Cheating On Him, And For Her Brother Hitting Him

Kristin Cavallari Apologizes To Stephen Colletti For Cheating On Him, And For Her Brother Hitting Him

    [ad_1]

    By Rachel McRady‍ , ETOnline.com.

Kristin Cavallari is coming clean about her difficult dating past with her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Colletti. The exes and “Laguna Beach” co-stars have been reliving their time in high school on their “Back to the Beach” podcast, and in this week’s episode, Stephen calls out Kristin for cheating on him while they were in their on-off teenage romance.

In one episode from season 2 of the show, Kristin tells her friend that she knows what a cheating partner looks like because she cheated on Stephen, but during the podcast recap, Kristin says she doesn’t remember cheating on Stephen.

“I don’t remember cheating on you. I know that we had talked about maybe I did with Talan [Torriero]. I don’t remember me actually cheating on you, but I will give that to you, because clearly I’m making it seem like I did,” Kristin tells Stephen.  “Other than Talan, I don’t think I actually cheated on you with anybody else.”

“Wait, you cheated on me with Talan?” Stephen asks her of their co-star.

“Well, I don’t think that I did, but you do. And I’m assuming you remember it more accurately,” Kristin says laughing.

But Stephen notes that there were “a couple of instances” he remembers, adding, “And those guys’ names were not Talan.”

The former pair redact the names of the men in question, but note that one worked at the Salt Creek Grille at the same time as Kristin.

“I kissed [redacted] from Salt Creek Grille, I’ll give you that,” Kristin admits.

Stephen then remembers a time that they went to a Los Angeles Lakers game and he got “really drunk” and passed out in his car.

“I woke up and I was in a car. We were outside of [redacted’s] house,” he recalls. “I walked down into the party and you guys were hooking up. We got into a big fight.”

“I was a horrible human being!” Kristin declares.

Stephen adds that Kristin kept trying to hug him and he told her to get away from him. He says that she was also “obviously drunk” and fell over in her platform shoes.

“Your brother was right there, and he was like, ‘Did you just f**king hit Kristin?’ He thought I hit you, which never happened,” Stephen says.

    “Never,” Kristin agrees.

“He clocks me in the face, doesn’t break my nose, but my nose is now bleeding,” Stephen says of Kristin’s brother.

Stephen then remembers leaving the party unsure of how he went from walking in on his girlfriend cheating on him to ending up getting punched in the face.

“Stephen, I’m a horrible person. I am so sorry,” Kristin says. “I’m appalled of the stuff that I did, honestly.”

At the end of the episode, the mother of three apologizes to her ex again for her behaviour.

“It actually is painful for me to hear. It’s painful for me to watch and I really do apologize,” she says. “You were always such a really good guy. You still are. But the fact that I took advantage of that is heartbreaking. So I am sorry.”

Despite the apologies, Kristin does question Stephen’s timeline, noting that some of her shenanigans took place after Stephen and their co-star, Lauren Conrad, had been hooking up.

“You and Lauren started dating at the beginning of that year, so this would have been after all of that. So you can’t sit here and blame me for everything!” Kristin declares.

Lauren reunited with Kristin and Stephen in the season 1 finale of the podcast last year. At the time both Lauren and Kristin apologized to one another for the things they said about each other on the MTV reality series.

    CNN
     —

Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari have reunited on a podcast to talk all things “Laguna Beach.”

The former reality show co-stars joined Stephen Colletti for Cavallari and Colletti’s “Back to the Beach” podcast, which recaps the series in current time.

This week, Conrad was the guest, and admitted that while home sick with Covid, she rewatched the MTV series.

“Watching it was so much worse than I imagined it would be,” Conrad said. “It was really cringey.”

Cavallari and Conrad were frenemies on the series, and also had a mutual former boyfriend in Colletti.

“My take on it is, you and I never really had any beef,” Cavallari said on the podcast, adding that MTV edited the show to make it seem worse than it was.

Conrad responded with, “I mean, I don’t think we were, like, best friends. But we were like, ‘It’s fine.’”

“I mean, we had an issue with each other, but it had been squashed,” Conrad added.

The two confirmed that things between them are now fine.

Conrad admits some regrets from her time on the show.

“My biggest regret was, watching it, I called you a slut. I’m so sorry,” Conrad said to Cavallari. “Watching it, it was my, like, ‘Oh, I couldn’t believe I did that.’ Because I think where I’m at now, I would never call another woman that, or girl.”

Both Conrad and Cavallari have gone on to have successful businesses.
