    [ad_1]

I don’t know about you, but I love to see what everyone else’s Christmas decorations, trees and tablescapes look like during the holiday season, and sometimes celebrities give us a sneak peek into their homes.

From elegant and opulent décor to show-stopping trees and beautifully styled Christmas tables, they often have the most amazing festive setups. This year, stars including Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, the Beckhams, Dua Lipa and more have shared snapshots of their Christmas Day celebrations, and they’re every bit as magical as you’d expect. Here are some of the best…

  • Jennifer Aniston reveals her ‘ultimate’ anti-ageing tool at 56

    [ad_1]

At 56, Jennifer Aniston has the body many of us can only dream of – regardless of age. The Friends star always looked toned and muscular, with washboard abs and svelte arms.

Given she never looks anything short of sculpted, we’ve often found ourselves asking how she maintains her physique – and she has finally revealed her secret, explaining: “Muscle is the ultimate anti-ageing tool. I am building strength that fuels my energy, confidence and longevity.”

Curious as to how muscle can serve as an anti-ageing tool, we spoke to personal trainer Shakira Akabusi, who explained how our muscles can keep us feeling youthful – but also shared the sobering fact that our muscles decline rapidly as we age.

Jennifer often displays her jaw-dropping abs

    Why are muscles anti-ageing?

“Many of us know that we lose bone as we age, but fewer of us realise that our muscles also lose strength and mass as we get older, a normal process known as sarcopenia,” Shakira begins. “This age-related loss of muscle is a major cause of frailty, increasing the risk of falling and fractures in older people.”

Shakira Akabusi shares how muscles can keep us feeling youthful

At 56, Jennifer Aniston certainly doesn’t look frail – and this is likely due to her commitment to honing her muscles through exercise. Here, Shakira shares her advice for supporting our muscles in midlife and beyond.

    Supporting muscles in midlife

“There are two types of training that are ideal to help combat muscle loss, helping us to build strength and lay down new bone tissue,” she says. “Weight-bearing movements, where we’re up on our feet, place our skeletal frame under gentle pressure, stimulating our bones to lay down more bone tissue.

“In addition, resistance exercises, such as lifting weights or pushing and pulling against something, help to strengthen our muscles. Strength training causes small, microscopic tears to a muscle and as the fibres rebuild, they are reinforced, making our muscles stronger.”

Kate Rowe-Ham explains the moves that can help support muscle growth

On how often we need to train our muscles, fellow personal trainer Kate Rowe-Ham adds: “The longevity benefits of strength training are enormous. Two or three sessions a week improve balance, reduce falls and make daily life easier, whether that’s carrying shopping or playing with grandchildren. Strength training also boosts metabolism, supports heart health, and helps regulate blood sugar levels.”

  • Jennifer Aniston twins with new boyfriend on date night in matching his and her outfits

    [ad_1]

Those who dress together stay together! Friends actress Jennifer Aniston braved the pouring rain in Los Angeles for a date night with new beau Jim Curtis on November 14. Jennifer joined Jim and her longtime stylist Jamie Mizrahi at the Italian restaurant Pace in the heart of Lauren Canyon in the Hollywood Hills. Jennifer wore classic blue denim jeans with a black sweater for the casual dinner, pairing the jeans with white lace-up sneakers. Jennifer wore her jeans with a large turn-up and kept warm in a long wool trench coat.

Jim, the popular celebrity hypnotherapist and wellness coach, also kept his fit casual, wearing black jeans with white sneakers and a black sweater. The pair both stayed dry with large golf umbrellas to stave off the worst of the storms. Los Angeles has been under a storm warning since Thursday, November 13. Flash flood warnings were put in place across a large swath of Los Angeles County, including the Eaton fire burn scar in Altadena, downtown Los Angeles, Malibu and Santa Monica.

The actress and Jim sparked rumors of a brewing romance when they were seen vacationing together earlier this year. In June they stayed at the five-star eco-friendly resort Ventana Big Sur, and in pictures shared on DailyMail.com in July, they were seen with Friends star Courteney Cox, director and actress Olivia Wilde, Amy Schumer and Jason Bateman on a yacht in Mallorca, where Jim was pictured giving Jennifer a back massage. They have reportedly been friends for some time, but it turned to love with Jim showing up at the premiere of The Morning Show earlier this fall to support his partner.

In honor of his 50th birthday in early November, Jennifer, 56, took to her Instagram page to hard launch the relationship with a candid snap of the pair taken together at his birthday party. The photo was a rare glimpse into Jennifer’s usually private love life, and she captioned the post: “Happy birthday my love. Cherished.”

“He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people,” Jennifer told Elle magazine, dubbing him “very special, very normal, and very kind.”  As for his work, Jennifer added that he “wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity,” calling it “a beautiful thing to commit your life to.”

After a career in the stock market, Jim worked extensively with organizations like WebMD, Everyday Health and HealthCentral Corporation before branching out into his own work as an author, hypnotherapist, hypno-coach, wellness advisor, and grief counselor.

He has worked with the likes Julianne Hough, Nina Agdal, Miranda Kerr, Lewis Howes and Jennifer’s best friend Courteney Cox. His bio reads: “I not only transformed my health, anxiety and relationships, I’ve helped thousands of others break free from their past & patterns to create an entirely new reality full of connection, abundance and love.”

In a recent Q&A with followers, Jim was asked how to find love in your forties, and he said: “That’s a great question. The same as you do at 22 and 32 but with more confidence, more experience and more authenticity.” He added: “Go out, open yourself to love, make eye contact and smile. Connect with people and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetise more love to you.”

JENNIFER ANISTON FINALLY FINDS LOVE WITH A REGULAR GUY AFTER YEARS OF HOLLYWOOD HEARTBREAK

Aniston and Curtis were first spotted together in July while enjoying a day at sea aboard a luxury yacht off the coast of Mallorca, Spain. In a photo, Aniston gently placed her hand on Curtis’ hand, while he wrapped his arm around her waist.

The couple was accompanied by actor Jason Bateman, his wife, Amanda Anka, and Amy Schumer.

At the time, an insider told People magazine that Aniston and Curtis were casually dating and having fun.

“They’ve been seeing each other for a few months now,” another source told the outlet. “They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it’s still casual.”

The insider also told the outlet that Curtis is “very different from anyone she’s dated before.”

In August, Aniston and Curtis were spotted on a double date with the actress’ “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox and her partner Johnny McDaid at Nobu in Malibu, California. That same month, he accompanied Aniston when she hosted an event for her haircare brand LolaVie in Los Angeles.

On Sept. 9, Curtis joined Aniston at the Season 4 premiere of “The Morning Show” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. However, the couple did not walk the red carpet together.

After the duo made their romance Instagram official, a source told People that their relationship feels “easy.”

“She’s been glowing,” the insider shared. “Everything in her life has come together and she’s excited about it. Jim’s the best.”

“Her friends love him,” the source added. “He’s calm, very warm and incredibly supportive. He’s brought a really steady and positive energy into her life.”

The insider noted that Curtis “fits right in with her friends,” saying “it all feels light, natural and really good.”

“It’s exactly where she wants to be right now,” the source added.

Aniston’s romance with Curtis marks her first public relationship since her 2018 split from her ex-husband and “Wanderlust” co-star Justin Theroux, who she began dating in 2011 and married in 2015.

Since finalizing their divorce, the two have remained friends and Theroux recently showed his support for Aniston’s new romance when he “liked” her birthday tribute to Curtis.

Prior to Theroux, Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. Following her split from Pitt, Aniston dated her “The Break-Up” co-star Vince Vaughn from 2005 to 2006 and Grammy Award-winning musician John Mayer from 2008 to 2009.

Curtis was previously married to his ex-wife Rachel Napolitano. The two met in 1999 and tied the knot in 2003, according to Page Six. The former couple share a teenage son named Aidan.

Curtis’ romance with Aniston does not mark the first time that he has dated a celebrity. Last week, the former “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel revealed on her “Just B with Bethenny Frankel” podcast that she and Curtis dated “maybe 10 years ago.”

Frankel, 55, explained that while Curtis was a “nice guy” and a “lovely man,” she didn’t share his interest in the wellness space.

“I never participated in it,” she said via Page Six. “I don’t love all areas of it, and I don’t always take all areas of it seriously.”

“We talked about it, but we just didn’t get that into it,” Frankel added.

Jennifer Aniston’s “love” is Instagram official. The Morning Show star hard-launched her relationship with hypnotherapist and life coach Jim Curtis in an Instagram post celebrating his 50th birthday on Sunday. “Happy birthday my love,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of her hugging him from behind. “Cherished ❤️” Curtis — whose website advertises his signature “Hypno-Coaching approach” and who shares content online about the subconscious mind and how to become a “master manifester” — was first publicly linked to Aniston in July when they were photographed on a yacht together in Mallorca. The pair were seen on a double date with Aniston’s Friends friend Courteney Cox in Malibu the following month. The relationship rollout continued when Aniston soft-launched Curtis on Instagram by including a photo of him with his back to the camera in a carousel post on September 7. About two months later, Curtis has finally graduated to getting his face on main. Think he threw “I am Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend” into his “I Am” affirmations?

He spoke to the outlet about hiding his illness from his co-workers while he worked on Wall Street, a job that Curtis said “couldn’t have been a worse choice” with his condition. “I had to stand up in a crowd all day. It was super high-stress, which is inflammatory and devastating for a condition like mine. It increased symptoms of fatigue and pain, and it brought on new ones like IBS [irritable bowel syndrome] and other things I couldn’t control.”

  • Jennifer Aniston’s humble ‘actor treat’ she requested during ‘Friends’ fame

    [ad_1]

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Jennifer Aniston didn’t ask for a fancy car or lavish gifts to celebrate her rise to fame on “Friends.”

During an appearance on the “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard” podcast, Aniston, 56, discussed the practical gift she once asked for from NBC.

“Another time I said, ‘Will you please give me a washer and dryer?’ and [NBC executive Warren Littlefield] wrote that down on a napkin,” Aniston said, laughing.

Shepard, slightly caught off guard, asked, “As part of your negotiation?”

Aniston clarified it wasn’t part of her contract — just a lighthearted request during her early success on the hit sitcom.

“I just kept hearing that all these actors were getting cars and getting these things once they got hired,” she said. “And ‘Friends’ had happened, and we were, I don’t know, at the Upfronts for something.”

While other Hollywood stars were getting luxury perks, Aniston just wanted a little help with her laundry.

Shepard laughed and said, “Actor treats.”

“Actor treats,” Aniston agreed, nodding to the industry tradition of over-the-top gifts for talent. “These elaborate, very expensive gifts,” she explained. “And [Littlefield] was like, ‘Well, what do you want?’ And I was like, ‘Really?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah.’ And I couldn’t think of anything. I was like, ‘I need a washer and a dryer.’”

The podcast host asked, “Did he deliver?” and Aniston confirmed that the NBC executive did at the time.

“But again, there weren’t phones. It’s not like hundreds of screens telling you what it is.”

The star also spoke about the 30th anniversary of “Friends” – the first episode aired in September 1994.

“It’s so strange to even think that it’s 30 years old,” she said. “Because I remember the day that it was going to premiere on television, on NBC: Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere, and we knew Lisa was getting her hair colored. So we ran into the hair salon, and I snuck up – she was in the sink – and I took the nozzle from the guy that was supposed to be doing it and just started washing her hair. It definitely flew out of control, and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had, it feels like yesterday.”

  • Jennifer Aniston Had a ‘Very Similar Mom’ to Jennette McCurdy

    [ad_1]

    Photo: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

Jennifer Aniston, who will star as a fictionalized version of Jennette McCurdy’s mother in an adaptation of her memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died, can unfortunately relate to the material. “We have a lot in common,” Aniston told People. “We had very similar moms.” Despite the story hitting close to home, the executive producer is excited to work on the project, explaining why she joined the show in the first place. “When it came across my desk as an option, an offer to play this character and work with Jennette and Sharon Horgan and LuckyChap, I was pretty much immediately intrigued and flattered and excited,” Aniston explained. “It’s going to be wonderful. It’s going to be pretty great to start shooting it.”

The Friends actress had a difficult relationship with her mother, previously sharing that she didn’t think she lived up to the expectations her mother had for her. She told the Sunday Telegraph in 2019 that “I did not come out the model child she’d hoped for and it was something that really resonated with me, this little girl just wanting to be seen and wanting to be loved by a mom who was too occupied with things that didn’t quite matter.”

  • Jennifer Aniston makes emotional confession about parents’ bitter divorce in honest interview

    [ad_1]

Jennifer Aniston got candid about her turbulent childhood in a tell-all interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, sharing that her parents used her as a “pawn” in their nasty divorce. The 56-year-old is the only daughter of soap star John Aniston and sitcom actress Nancy Dow, with the pair marrying in 1965 and divorcing in 1980 when Jennifer was just nine years old. “Their divorce was not amicable in any way, shape, or form, and it was a time when there wasn’t a lot of awareness of how to behave for the sake of the kid,” she explained.

“That was the least of [their] worries – it was more, how could they hurt each other? And I was just a pawn.” Despite the pain of her parents’ divorce, Jennifer shared that John and Nancy were “ridiculously funny people” and that she grew up “around a lot of laughter”. Her father was best known for starring as Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives on and off for 37 years, and also appeared in shows like The West Wing, Gilmore Girls and Mad Men.

Meanwhile, Nancy made her name with roles in The Beverly Hillbillies, The Wild Wild West and The Ice House. Jennifer previously revealed to Interview magazine that “growing up in a household that was destabilized and felt unsafe” allowed her to build resilience and learn how to deal with heartbreak. She remained close to her father until his death in November 2022, and even accepted his Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award that same year.

“This is truly a special moment for me,” the Friends star said. “It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.” Unfortunately, she shared a far more difficult relationship with her mother, and explained that the divorce had a lasting effect on Nancy.

“She was a model, and she was all about presentation and what she looked like and what I looked like,” Jennifer told The Sunday Telegraph in 2018. “I did not come out the model child she’d hoped for, and it was something that really resonated with me: this little girl just wanting to be seen and wanting to be loved by a person who was too occupied with things that didn’t quite matter.”

Jennifer’s parents John and Nancy were married from 1965 to 1980

Nancy wrote about their tense relationship in her 1999 memoir, From Mother and Daughter to Friends, which prompted Jennifer to cut ties altogether. “I never thought my mom would not know my husband,” she told Diane Sawyer in a 2004 interview for ABC News, referring to Brad Pitt, whom she was married to from 2000 to 2005.

Jennifer and Nancy reportedly reconciled following her divorce from Brad and remained in each other’s lives until Nancy’s passing in 2016. “I forgave my mom,” she told Allure in 2022. “It’s important. It’s toxic to have that resentment, that anger. I learned that by watching my mom never let go of it. I remember saying, ‘Thank you for showing me what never to be.’”

While Nancy never said “I do” again after her divorce from John, she was previously married to Jack Melick from 1956 to 1961, and shared a son, John T. Melick III, with him. Jennifer’s dad remarried after Nancy to Sherry Rooney in 1984. The couple welcomed one son, Alexander Aniston.

  • From ‘Sex and the City’ to ‘Summer I Turned Pretty’: Why Paris Is Rarely Ever a Good Idea for Romantic Heroines

    [ad_1]

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Boy meets girl, girl seeks adventure in Paris, then girl’s complicated feelings for said boy ultimately taint her ability to actually enjoy the city of love. That scenario factors into the plot of both The Summer I Turned Pretty’s final season and the newly released Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris—although this time, our heroines, played by Lola Tung and Miranda Cosgrove respectively, make it to Paris—and get to stay, at least for a while.

On The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly defers her acceptance to study abroad in Paris for premature marriage with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). She then comes to her senses, calling off the wedding and moving overseas, where she fights through homesickness and language barriers to build a nice little life for herself. Of course, that independence will soon be interrupted by Belly’s ex Conrad (Christopher Briney), seen buying a plane ticket to Paris in the show’s penultimate episode. But at least she was given the opportunity to test out both versions of her future before making a choice.

That’s also true of The Wrong Paris, a silly rom-com about a Bachelor-esque reality dating show that contestants are led to believe will be filmed in Paris, France, only to learn it’s actually Paris, Texas—population 25,000. Our heroine, Cosgrove’s Dawn, takes the twist in stride, vowing to compete on the show—not for love, but some prize money to fund studying at a Paris art school. “I don’t hate this,” she says of her hometown, “I just hate that this is the only thing I’ve ever known.” Then a cowboy named Trey (Pierson Fode—also, has anyone ever actually met a cowboy named Trey?) and his comically sculpted abs waltz in. “You ain’t gonna find no man like me in Paris,” he drawls, to which she replies: “Yeah, that’s the point.” Surprise, surprise, Dawn and Trey do fall in love and later strike a bicontinental compromise—she’ll finish school, then presumably come back to Texas.

Hepburn and Astaire, near 30 years in age between them, leave Paris as husband-and-wife in Funny Face.LMPC/Getty Images

Paris has long been a place for lovers onscreen. Casablanca (1942) famously ends with Humphrey Bogart’s Rick telling Ingrid Bergman’s Ilsa that they’ll always have their time in Paris, even if they can’t end up together. The European city has gotten in the way of a whole lot of love affairs ever since. Perhaps no one was more familiar with this than poor Audrey Hepburn, who starred in six films set in the City of Light throughout the 1950s and ’60s, most of which end with the idea that her lovelorn character would presumably rather return to the United States with a man twice her age than walk along the Seine solo. (Case in point: Hepburn choosing Bogart in 1954’s Sabrina—a frequent reference on The Summer I Turned Pretty, and then Fred Astaire in 1957’s Funny Face—which has been repeatedly mentioned on Netflix’s Emily in Paris.)

Somewhere along the way, Paris became the go-to plot device standing in between a single woman and her love interest. The city represented female independence and agency—a culturally rich alternative to the happily ever after established in fairy tales.

On ’90s to early aughts TV, Paris became a surefire tactic for injecting drama into long-running “will they or won’t they?” couples. Shannen Doherty’s Brenda flees her dramatic on-again-off-again dynamic with Luke Perry’s Dylan on Beverly Hills, 90210 for a summer study-abroad program. Sarah Jessica Parker’s beret-clad Carrie Bradshaw now famously hurls a McDonald’s “le Big Mac” upon learning that “Big is moving to Paris,” in Sex and the City season two. Then her own Parisian journey with Frenchman Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov) is cut short in the series finale once Big (Chris Noth) shows up to bring her back home. On another hotly anticipated final episode, Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Green considers moving overseas with her toddler-aged daughter for a fresh start working at Louis Vuitton after years of across-the-hall pining for David Schwimmer’s Ross. But these flights of fancy don’t last long—a brief layover on the way to domesticated bliss right back where they started.

  • Drew Barrymore Wishes to Reunite With Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in Remake of Death Becomes Her: ‘We’ve Batted Around Some Ideas’

    [ad_1]

Drew Barrymore has opened up about her wish to reunite with her friends Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler onscreen. The trio have worked with each other differently over the years but wish to come together for the remake of Death Becomes Her.

In the new clip of her podcast episode, the actress revealed that she wishes for a remake of the film, which would give her a chance to get together with her former co-stars.

The actress went on to say that she, along with the Murder Mystery co-stars, has ideated a few things, and if all goes well, the three of them will be onscreen together.

Drew Barrymore on reuniting with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler

Opening up on making the remake of Death Becomes Her with herself Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore revealed, “We’ve batted around some ideas.” She added, “As a joke, we say we’ll make the Three’s Company movie, but I’m really bullish on Death Becomes Her, a remake of that.”

As for the movie that the actress spoke of, released in 1992, it starred Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, and Isabella Rossellini. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the movie tells the tale of Madeline, who takes up the immortality test. The movie was nominated for the Oscars and it went on to win in the category of Best Visual Effects.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Barrymore revealed that only Adam Sandler could bring her back into the acting field. The duo has worked together in three movies, which include The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended.

She went on to explain, “Adam knows that I really want to work with him and Jennifer Aniston together. They both know that.” While the movie star has done multiple films with Sandler, she has also worked with Aniston in He’s Just Not That Into You.

  • Jennifer Aniston’s 52 best hairstyles over the years

    [ad_1]

Jennifer Aniston’s hair deserves an Instagram account of its own. With a few exceptions, no star has served up as much dreamy hair inspiration as the former Friends star.

Of course, no sentence about iconic hairstyles would be complete without mentioning The Rachel. You’d be hard-pressed to find any other hairstyle from the last 25 years that remains an enduring pop culture reference and a symbol of the 90s.

Those choppy layers, that gravity-defying bounce, those delicious caramel highlights, Jennifer Aniston’s cult 90s cut became era-defining statement, even picking up a loyal fan following that included Tyra Banks, Christina Aguilera and Meg Ryan (all of whom headed to their hairdressers for their own rendition of the style).

Countless styles later, though, Jennifer Aniston’s hair is still coveted, morphing from short and choppy to long and beautifully layered and more recently bob-length. The secret to its enduring appeal? It’s the definition of ‘pretty’ hair, finding that elusive sweet spot of looking sexy but soft, tousled but natural.

So take it from Jen – give your hair a break from over-styling, opt for looks that celebrate the strands you already have and embrace your natural texture.

  • Charlie Day “Would Be Up for” Third ‘Horrible Bosses’ Film, Has Had “Conversations About It”

    [ad_1]

Though Charlie Day and Jennifer Aniston‘s characters were often at odds in the Horrible Bosses films, they’re both aligned in wanting a third film in the R-rated comedy franchise.

After Aniston recently revealed that she wants to revisit the project, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he, too, “absolutely would be up for another” Horrible Bosses‘ film.

In addition, speaking to THR at a recent New York screening of his latest movie, Honey Don’t!, now in theaters, Day said that he “had some conversations about it with some people involved in front and behind the camera,” suggesting that his and Aniston’s desire to return to the project might be more than idle speculation.

He added, “We’ll see — hopefully there’s an appetite at the studio.”

Day referenced the new Naked Gun film in expressing his support for theatrical comedies.

“I just saw The Naked Gun, and it was so fun to be in a theater with a comedy with a capital ‘c.’”

“I’d love to do a third one,” he said of the Horrible Bosses series. “Hopefully, we get to do it.”

In June, Aniston told People that Horrible Bosses is the project she’d be most interested in revisiting.

“Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too,” Aniston said of the franchise. “So that’s something that we think would be super fun.”

She added, “The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today.”

Aniston also looked back lovingly on the franchise in a recent video interview with Vanity Fair for its “Rewatch” series, recalling how she fought for her character’s brunette locks.

“I wanted [my character] to look different. The argument from the studio, and I am sorry to call you out, was that, ‘We’re just afraid it won’t look like you.’ And I said, ‘That’s kind of the point!’ I still think it might look a little bit like me. But I’m glad I fought for it and stuck to my guns.”

The two films, released in 2011 and 2014, Aniston said, helped her shed her “girl next door” image.

“I was always, sort of, seen as a girl next door, you know, the ingenue,” she said. “It was really fun to play somebody like this because it’s so far away from anything that I am. And I think that’s what the director liked — this is so not what you would expect from this gal. That was the fun of it. I think that’s what made it more creatively exciting for me, obviously.”

The first Horrible Bosses film, released over the summer in 2011, was directed by Seth Gordon from a script by Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, and in addition to Aniston, Day and Bateman, starred Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx. The film follows three friends (Day, Bateman and Sudeikis) who scheme to murder their awful bosses. The original grossed nearly $210 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.

The 2014 sequel, directed by Sean Anders from a script by Anders, John Morris, Goldstein and Daley, saw most of the original stars return and added Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz. But that movie, released over the Thanksgiving corridor in 2014, didn’t perform as well at the box office, grossing nearly $108 million worldwide from a $42 million budget.

Speaking about the follow-up on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast in 2015, Bateman said it was “garbage, as far as box office goes,” and he suggested that a sequel might not have been necessary, though he said he loves both films.

“A lot of people saw the first one, but there are plenty of films that made a lot of money where no one is interested in seeing another one,” Bateman said. “People just weren’t interested in seeing another one. ‘We saw the first one, we had fun, and I don’t need to go see a second one.’”

  • Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis Step Out with Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid for Malibu Double Date

    [ad_1]

Jennifer Aniston is embracing date nights with her new boyfriend, Jim Curtis. The actress was spotted enjoying dinner at Nobu in Malibu on Monday, August 18, alongside her best friend Courteney Cox and Cox’s longtime partner, musician Johnny McDaid.

According to photos obtained by PEOPLE, Cox and McDaid left the restaurant first, followed by Aniston and Curtis. Aniston looked chic in jeans paired with a tied-waist jacket, while Curtis kept it casual in a denim button-down shirt and trousers, walking with the support of a cane. Cox opted for a denim jacket layered over a long satin skirt, while McDaid chose an all-black look.

Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis enjoy Malibu dinner date

The evening marked another public outing for Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis, who have been dating for a few months. The pair first sparked headlines in July when they were photographed vacationing together on a yacht in Mallorca, Spain. Curtis, an author and life coach specializing in hypnotherapy, was even spotted giving Aniston a shoulder massage during the trip.

Aniston had also included one of his books, Shift Quantum Manifestation Guide: A Workbook for Coding a New Consciousness, in a May Instagram post. Fans later noticed Curtis had left a flirty comment on her social media in April, hinting at their budding relationship.

Here’s how Jennifer Aniston met Jim Curtis

A source shared that Aniston and Curtis were introduced by mutual friends. “They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She’s really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it’s still casual,” the insider revealed.

The source added that Aniston is in a positive phase of her life. “She’s been happy on her own, but she’s also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right. Jen’s in a very good place right now – grounded, fulfilled and very happy.”

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid join the double date

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, who have been together since 2013, joined the couple for the Malibu outing. This wasn’t the first time Aniston and Curtis have enjoyed a double date. Earlier this month, they dined in New York with Aniston’s close friend Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, spending three hours together in the West Village.

A source told US Weekly, “They are happy and really into each other. They’ve been hanging out a lot, but very much on the DL at her home in LA.”

  • Stop Putting Brad Pitt In Things

Stop Putting Brad Pitt In Things

    [ad_1]

Hollywood makes me feel delusional and deranged on the daily. From the insane beauty standards it perpetuates to the startlingly low amount of representation, it’s a problematic industry. But perhaps its most toxic trait is propping up men who should not be idolized.

We saw it with Harvey Weinstein — who enjoyed a prosperous career and untouchable hero status until the #MeToo movement exposed his repfehensible behavior. On a smaller scale — but still a symptom of the same toxic culture in the industry and society at large — we’re seeing it now with Brad Pitt.

How many times have you watched an award show and heard attendees gush about being in the same room as Pitt? Or thanked him in their acceptance speeches? That’s because Pitt made himself indispensable to people’s careers and to the industry in general. You might think of him as a 90s – 2000s heartthrob, but he spends more time producing than acting these days. And, most likely, he’s responsible for many of your favorite films.

Plan B, the production company he co-founded with Jennifer Aniston and then assumed control when they split, is known for taking huge swings at movies that have been neglected by other studios. One of their biggest successes was 12 Years A Slave, which went on to win Academy Awards and cement Plan B as a major player in the industry.

So, no wonder nobody wants to say the quiet part out loud: Brad Pitt is an abuser, a bad father, and a prime example that Hollywood will protect its money-making interests at all costs.

    What Did Brad Pitt Do

From the outside, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looked like the perfect Hollywood power couple. Even if you were Team Jennifer Aniston, you had to admit: they were the dream. In 2005, they even did a notorious magazine spread for W Magazine: “Domestic Bliss: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at Home.”

However, when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, she alleged that she had suffered physical and verbal abuse at the hands of Pitt in front of their children.

The abuse allegations are one factor that’s dragging out their divorce proceedings, as they struggle to gain control of their custody agreement. However, as most of their children are no longer minors, their continued relationship with Jolie and their fractured — in some case estranged — relationship with Pitt tells us all we need to know.

An old screenshot from Pax Jolie-Pitt’s Instagram account recently went viral due to his open vitriol for his father. The screenshot, posted on a Father’s Day to his Instagram story, read:

““Happy Father’s Day to this world class a**hole!! You time and time again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you are incapable of doing so. You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father’s Day, you f***ing awful human being!!!”

Despite all this, Brad Pitt’s career seems unconquerable. He won his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a (abusive, racist) stuntman in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time … In Hollywood. People whine about canceled culture but Brad Pitt is proof that it doesn’t exist. What happened to believing women? It’s like the industry is saying that people will be held accountable for their actions … unless they’re hot. And although some sputter about separating the artist from their art, the amount of praise and adoration Brad Pitt far outpaces his art.

And now he’s trying to capitalize on the success of his most popular role — Rusty in the Oceans movies — by pairing with George Clooney once again for a new film, Wolfs.

What Is Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s New Movie Wolfs About?

Think, George Clooney in The Ides of March, but a thriller. Directed by Jon Watts, Wolfs stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney alongside Amy Ryan and Austin Abrams. The duo play two lone wolf fixers who are assigned to the same job. It’s slated for a September 20th release with the first teaser dropping on May 28th.

It’s brooding. It’s gritty. It seems like it will draw entirely on the pair’s history and chemistry. The teaser trailer is just the two of them sitting in silence in a car, sharing in comical discomfort. But I’m not laughing.

While all the reports are celebrating their reunion after 16 years in 2008’s — Burn After Reading — none are questioning Brad Pitt’s recent penchant for buddy-thrillers. He’s trying to keep us on his side. And with Hollywood firmly in his corner, they’re more than happy to make mountains of money while sweeping his behavior under the rug.

Anyone could’ve played this role. Instead, the industry would rather protect one of their own and try to distract from the newscycle by feeding us this nostalgic pairing.

Watch the full trailer here (and throw tomatoes at your screen, like me):

In some ways, I understand. It’s hard to believe your heroes are capable of doing such awful things — especially when they continue to support underrepresented groups and produce admirable work. But this support is akin to blood money. This is all to say: Boycott Brad Pitt.

Awards season is going full steam ahead, and after a trip across the pond for the BAFTAs, it’s back stateside today—more specifically, a return to Los Angeles, for this evening’s SAG Awards.

The annual Screen Actors Guild Awards celebrate the best acting in film and television, as voted on by SAG-AFTRA members. Along with a shiny trophy, winning a SAG Award also comes with the honor of acknowledgment and recognition of industry peers. This year, Barbie and Oppenheimer each scored four nominations, leading the film pack in terms of the most nods. For television, Succession came in hot with five nominations.

The 30th SAG Awards kick off this evening at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, and for the first time ever, will stream live on Netflix, starting tonight (Saturday, Feb. 24) at 8:00 pm ET. There will not be host for the ceremony, as has been the case for the past four years.

All the celebrity bob haircuts of 2024

    [ad_1]

Is 2024 the year of celebrity bob haircuts? Judging by the red carpets, awards shows, and fashion events we’ve seen thus far, it certainly seems so.

Bob haircuts dominated the Golden Globes and Emmys red carpets, and J.Lo and Rihanna debuted especially chic, and somehow wildly different, chops while in Paris for Haute Couture Week. And to think we’re not even a full month into the year!

This, of course, comes as no surprise. Because while many hair trends come and go, the bob haircut will truly never go out of style. Going chin length makes an immediate statement, grabbing attention and putting focus on your face. Shorter haircuts are also significantly less high-maintenance over all.

But best of all? Bobs are extremely versatile. From the undone bob to the lob, there is no one way, no “right” way, to wear a bob. Just take it from the handful of celebrities boarding the bob train this year.

No matter your bob preference, the best celebrity bob haircuts of 2024 are sure to inspire your next chop. Ahead, see all of our favourite bobs of the year, and get ready to screenshot for inspo.
