    Besides them, many other celebrities marked their presence such as Anees Bazmee, Karan Tacker, Meiyang Chang, Jayantilal Gada, Prateek Gandhi, Aamir Ali, Vedika Pinto, Harman Baweja, Harleen Shethi, Prateek Smita Patil, Ramesh Taurani, and Chum Darang, among others.

    Directed by Suparn Verma, Haq explores themes of the Uniform Civil Code, Triple Talaq, and gender equality before the law. It has been produced by Junglee Pictures, known for acclaimed creations like Raazi, Badhaai Ho and Badhaai Do.

    The highly anticipated film Haq, starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, is scheduled to arrive in theaters this Friday, November 7.

    What is Haq about?

    Haq is based on the legendary case of Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum. In 1980s India, Shazia Bano’s (Yami Gautam) world falls apart when her lawyer husband, Abbas (Emraan Hashmi), abandons her and their three children after marrying a second time. At first, Abbas agrees to pay monthly maintenance for their children, but when he stops, Bano takes the bold step of going to court. In response, Ahmed tries to silence her by pronouncing triple talaq. What begins as her personal struggle soon grows into a national debate about faith, women’s rights, and justice. Bano’s courage turns her into a symbol of resistance against patriarchy. Inspired by the landmark Supreme Court of India judgment in Shah Bano vs. Ahmed Khan, Haq is the story of an Indian woman’s fight for her rights.

    Who was Shah Bano?

    Shah Bano, a Muslim woman, was married to Mohammed Ahmed Khan, an affluent and well-known advocate in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and had five children from the marriage.

    What is the case about?

    The Shah Bano case was a controversial maintenance lawsuit in India, in which the Supreme Court delivered a judgment in favour of providing maintenance to an aggrieved divorced Muslim woman. The government enacted a law, with its most controversial aspect being the right to maintenance during the period of iddat after the divorce, and shifting the responsibility of maintaining women to her relatives or the Waqf Board. The law was seen as discriminatory as it denied the right to basic maintenance available to Muslim women under secular law.

    Shah Bano case and its impact on…

    The judgment in favour of the woman in this case evoked criticisms among Muslims, some of whom cited the Quran to show that the judgment conflicted with Islamic law. It triggered controversy about the extent of having different civil codes for different religions in India.

    Shah Bano case takes political turn

    The case caused the Congress government, with its absolute majority, to pass the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act, 1986, which diluted the judgment of the Supreme Court and restricted the right of Muslim divorcées to alimony from their former husbands for only 90 days after the divorce (the period of iddah in Islamic law).

    However, in later judgments, including the Danial Latifi vs Union of India case and Shamima Farooqui vs Shahid Khan, the Supreme Court of India interpreted the act in a manner reassuring the validity of the case and consequently upheld the Shah Bano judgement, and the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act 1986 was nullified. Some Muslims, including the All India Shia Personal Law Board, supported the Supreme Court’s order to make the right to maintenance of a divorced Muslim wife absolute.

    They Call Him OG (or simply OG) is a gangster action film starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, which was released in theatres on September 25, 2025. Now, Kannada film director R. Chandru has alleged that OG was inspired by his movie Kabzaa, which starred Upendra.

    Speaking with the YouTube channel News Hunt, R. Chandru said, “Take a look at some scenes in the OG trailer, and see how they are similar to my film Kabzaa… they are surely inspired by it. It’s good-we should all feel inspired by certain things… It’s something to be happy about.”

    “Everyone is praising those shots in OG, but I used similar shots in Kabzaa four years ago. At the time, no one noticed,” the filmmaker added.

    The director’s comments have sparked a stir online, with netizens weighing in on the comparison. Interestingly, Kabzaa had earlier faced backlash due to its apparent similarities with the KGF franchise, which starred Yash.

    Kabzaa, starring Upendra in the lead, is a Kannada-language gangster action film that was released on March 17, 2023. It tells the story of Arkeshwara, an air force officer who, after suffering a personal loss, enters the underworld and finds himself surrounded by enemies.

    In addition to the Coolie actor, the movie featured an ensemble cast including Kichcha Sudeepa, Shriya Saran, Sudha, Murali Sharma, Nawab Shah, Suneel Puranik, John Kokken, Dev Gill, Kabir Duhan Singh, and many others. Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar also made a cameo appearance.

    Though the flick was a box office failure, a sequel was announced at the time, despite the underwhelming response.

    They Call Him OG is a Telugu-language gangster action drama starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Sujeeth. The film revolves around Ojas Gambheera, aka OG, a former gangster who once ruled the streets of Bombay.

    After stepping away from the world of crime, Ojas is forced to return to settle scores with a ruthless crime lord named Omi Bhau.     While speaking to The Lallantop, Emraan Hashmi addressed rumors of Salman Khan being late on the sets. He stated that Salman has his own schedule and timing, but he is “the best people to work with,” further adding that they’re fond of each other. The actor also stated that he and Salman are “not friends”, but have “mutual respect” for each other.

    Reflecting on the experience of working with Salman Khan, he said, “When we were shooting together, sitting together on sets, it felt like I was talking to a friend.     When Emraan Hashmi initially planned to decline Tiger 3’s offer 

    In addition to this, Emraan revealed when he was offered Tiger 3 for the negative role by Maneesh Sharma, he had ‘mentally prepared’ himself to decline the offer. However, when the director narrated to him the script and the graph of the character, he realized that his character of Aatish is not a “uni-dimensional role” but also has a point of view. He hailed his character more like an ”anti-hero” whose ideology didn’t match with the hero’s narrative.

    During the same conversation, the Awarapan actor also recalled his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Murder. He shared that the Pathaan actor had come to meet director Mahesh Bhatt.

    He shared, “So I hadn’t actually met him, I was inside, giving my shot, and he waved to me and showed me a ‘thumbs-up’ sign and said something like, ‘You are doing well’. I don’t know if he had seen Footpath (a 2003 film) but that was very encouraging for me, because I am a very big SRK fan and that’s how my first meeting with SRK was.”

    Emraan was last seen in Dharma-backed backed web-series, Showtime.

They were among the last few to bid farewell to the place. The Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actor exuded charm in a powder blue ensemble. Alizeh looked adorable in a comfortable black outfit.

    Salman appeared to be in a cheerful mood. He sported his trademark smile as he posed for photographs with the Farrey star. Displaying his playful side, he affectionately placed his cap on her head and shared a warm side hug, spreading joy among onlookers. To the delight of the paparazzi, Salman and Alizeh graciously took photos with them, leaving everyone with fond memories of their departure.

Tiger Vs Pathaan, one of the most exciting upcoming YRF projects featuring him alongside Shah Rukh Khan, is also on the cards.

    The superstar also plans to collaborate with Sooraj Barjatya for a special film. Amid all this, he is also expected to feature in Sohail Khan’s ambitious project Sher Khan, which was first announced in 2012.

    Meanwhile, Alizeh made her debut with Farrey. Helmed by National award-winning director, Soumendra Padhi, the film is produced by Salman Khan Films, Mythri Movie Makers, and Athena. The cast of the film also features Sahil Mehta, Zeyn, Prasanna Bisht, Ronit Bose Roy, and Juhi Babbar Soni in prominent roles. 

    It was released on November 24, 2023.

    Emraan Hashmi has joined the cast of Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film G2 aka Goodachari 2. The film directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi also features Sobhita Dhulipala in a pivotal role.

    On Thursday, Emraan Hashmi took to his social media handle to share the announcement. He dropped a first look poster of his character from G2. He captioned the post, “The biggest spy franchise gets a blockbuster addition Boarding mission #G2.”

    This time, it’s personal, goes the film’s tagline. This sums up the plot of the film in one line. However, it isn’t all as simple as that. Aatish Rehman (Emraan Hashmi), is a family friend of Zoya (Katrina Kaif). Aatish mentors her after her father’s death when she is in her teenage and later becomes her handler in the ISI. Aatish is everything Zoya is not. She’s patriotic and not a zealot. She believes in being human, rather than callously sacrificing everyone to achieve your ends and believes in being a soldier and not a terrorist. She learns of his plot to kill a Pakistani General on foreign soil and as a result, he is imprisoned after a court martial. His wife and unborn child too is killed in the line of duty. A bitter Aatish swears revenge, which he successfully executes but Tiger (Salman Khan), manages to foil it in the climax.

    In its own way, the film also bats big time for democracy. It tells you that Pakistan would be better off if it had a civilian government, which controls the army, and not the other way around. A government which respects its own populace and is ready to broker peace with India would be much more beneficial to the region overall than one which is openly hostile to its neighbours and which doesn’t believe in democracy. Tiger and Zoya, in effect, save the Pakistani PM from a coup and basically help impede an all-out war between the two countries.

    Noble thoughts aside, Maneesh Sharma and his writers have made things laughably easy for both the hero and the villain. Salman Khan is able to enter Afghanistan and Pakistan as easily as taking a leisurely stroll in a public garden. Emraan Hasmi, despite being a disgraced army officer and ISI operative, is able to get unconditional support for his dastardly acts with neither the ISI, nor RAW, having a clue about it. He virtually runs operations all over the world, with seemingly unlimited budgets and evades capture till the very end. He wants to become the new PM of Pakistan, though he has no political affiliations whatsoever. And being a court martialled officer, doesn’t have the overt support of the army either. Despite that he’s virtually able to bring a country to a standstill. One keeps waiting for the true puppet master to show his face but that isn’t the case.

    The film, in nutshell, is a set of slick action sequences loosely stringed together. The money shot of the film is Shah Rukh Khan’s entry as Pathaan. Tiger had rescued him in the film Pathaan and here he returns the favour. The two superstars have a gala time bonding during the costliest action scene of the film. Their banter brings the much-needed relief to the film, which is otherwise devoid of humour. Katrina Kaif has a much-talked about towel-fight scene with acclaimed martial artist and stuntwoman Michelle Lee, and the climax fight between Salman and Emraan is well-executed as well. Bhai, however, doesn’t take off his shirt in the film, something that’s going to be a sore point for his fans. There’s even a Salman and Katrina fight scene, which too is stylishly executed. And *Spoiler Alert* Hrithik Roshan too makes a cameo as Kabir (from War) at the end, fighting a bunch of thugs in a sequence inspired by Marvel’s Hawkeye show, Ronin. This verily is the icing on the cake and boldly spells out YRF’S intentions about investing in an extended spy universe.

    Emraan Hashmi enjoys every moment of being the antagonist and makes his presence felt. He isn’t intimidated by Salman’s presence and makes for a good villain. Salman Khan looks more brooding and menacing here than the first two instalments. His mere presence is enough to send fans into raptures. Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan make for the perfect screen pairing. They have danced the dance many times and know each other’s moves inside and out. There’s a sense of camaraderie apparent in their reactions, which comes from long association. It’s good to see them together on screen and we would love to see them in an old-fashioned love story. Katrina has done all that’s required of her and more and looks all set to kick some butt in future as well.

    Watch the film if you’re a hardcore Salman Khan fan. The morning shows, even on a Diwali Sunday, were all near-capacity and that tells you something about Salman’s aura.

    Tiger 3 story: Tiger (Salman Khan) and his partner Zoya (Katrina Kaif) face a harrowing personal threat when a vengeful terrorist, Aatish Rehman (Emraan Hashmi) from Pakistan, issues an ultimatum— they must comply with his demands or risk losing their son to a brutal fate.

    Tiger 3 review: ‘Tiger 3’ continues the saga of YRF’s spy universe, with the same old premise of a highly motivated terrorist harbouring an utterly misplaced idea of patriotism. Shridhar Raghavan’s story serves as a canvas for director Maneesh Sharma to put up a high-octane action show that weaves the elements of duty, personal sacrifice, and patriotism. Bhai fans can rejoice, as he looks fresh and back in perfect form. He goes all out performing dare-devil stunts that not only defy death and gravity but also logic. Nonetheless, it’s a full-blown visual spectacle
    The narrative is packed with constant thrills, and plot twists, many of them predictable but snackable too. Anay Goswamy’s breathtaking cinematography deftly captures the scale of this globe-trotting espionage saga that seamlessly travesses across Europe, Russia, Istanbul, India and Pakistan.

    Emraan Hashmi shines as the ruthless antagonist, Aatish, despite a very cliched characterisation that lacks conviction. While the film leans on familiar spy genre elements, inspired by Hollywood hits and many Bollywood blockbusters, it ensures there’s no dearth of adrenaline-pumping action sequences. This time though, the film’s leading lady Katrina Kaif gets a well-defined character arc with a convincing backstory, a solid motive and context. Katrina pulls off an action-heavy role with ease, kicking some serious butt. Her fight scene in towel with Asian American actress Michelle Lee is nicely done.

    Despite its expected storyline and reliance on established spy movie tropes, ‘Tiger 3’ navigates a delicate balance between showcasing patriotism and overdramatising it. The timely cameo by Shahrukh Khan as Pathaan, is integrated seamlessly into the story. It’s sure to hit home with the fans of both the Khans.

    This time around, Pritam’s music falls short of leaving a lasting impact. The writing tends to portray Pakistan as the perennial antagonist without delving into nuanced motivations and the complex geo-political landscape of the continent. The dialogues lack the punch to evoke constant applause and seetis from Bhai fans. Despite such heavy dependence on VFX, ‘Tiger 3’ lacks the required finesse in many scenes, much like its jarring background score (by Tanuj Tiku). The swift pacing makes up for many a flaws, with a taut edit by Rameshwar S. Bhagat.

    But overall, ‘Tiger 3’ qualifies as a good addition to the franchise with enough ammo for mass entertainment.

    Advance bookings of Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi’s much awaited film Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma, have finally opened. The response so far has been excellent in national chains with around 55000 tickets being sold in PVR, Inox and Cinepolis for the opening day alone, as at 6:30pm IST on 5th of November, 2023. The ticket movement of Tiger 3 is very encouraging with a clear pressure to book tickets being seen.

    The Salman Khan actioner is releasing on Laxmi Pooja Day which falls on Sunday. The collections will be hit adversely by Diwali festivities. There however should be a surge in the collections on day 2, 3 and 4 as the holiday period begins. From early trends, the film is looking to sell around 3.50 lakh or even 4 lakh tickets in top 3 national chains for the opening day by the end of its advance sales. Only few films like Jawan, Pathaan and War among Bollywood films have sold tickets higher than the tickets that Tiger 3 looks to sell on what is not a very lucrative day to release films. Pathaan released on a non-holiday Wednesday, Jawan released on Janmashtami day and War released on Gandhi Jayanti day. 

    Tiger 3 is recording some solid numbers in non-national chains and iconic single screens as well. For instance, Delite Cinemas in Delhi is almost presold for the first day. Prasads, which is a premium property in Hyderabad is also showing very good occupancies.

    Tiger 3 Has Sold 80000 Tickets Through BookMyShow’s Website Already

    The BookMyShow portal has started tracking the sale of tickets on their website recently. The total number of tickets of Tiger 3 sold on their website is around 80000 as at 6:30pm. It includes tickets sold on any day and not just the first day. By the end of advances, a number of over over 1 million will affirmatively be breached.

    A source said, “Watch out for Pathaan’s entry in Tiger 3! As the super-spies start crossing over in each other’s films, which are part of the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe, expect twists and surprises that deliver outstanding entertainment value to audiences in theatres.”

    The source further added, “Shah Rukh will shoot for Tiger 3 by end-April and the shoot is expected to be in Mumbai. Details of this shoot is being kept completely under wraps but expect fireworks when the two super spies meet again in Tiger 3. Salman told SRK in Pathaan that he was going on an important mission so Pathaan will meet Tiger during this mission.”

    Tiger 3 is helmed by Maneesh Sharma and backed by Aditya Chopra. The first look was unveiled last year and it got the fans super excited. Tiger 3 is slated to release in theatres on Diwali 2023.
