    While Unni Mukundan is reprising Narendra Modi, we have learnt that Raveena Tandon has been finalized to play Modi’s mother late Heeraben. Apparently, when the actress was approached to play the part, she was so moved by the principles of Heeraben. The strength, depth and the arc of the layered character resonated with Raveena. The actress reportedly green lit the character 45 minutes into the narration. Heeraben’s life has been committed to values, and she has been like a teacher to Modi. On several occasions earlier, Modi spoke highly of her. Heeraben’s early struggle – losing her mother early in her childhood – how she held the family together with calm and fortitude, and her strong principles which stood the test of time have inspired Raveena to take on the challenging character.

    Sameer Wankhede, a former Mumbai zonal director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and an IRS officer, is once again in the news. Known for leading high-profile drug cases, Wankhede is also married to actress Kranti Redkar. But what keeps him in the spotlight now is his long-running connection with Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. In 2021, Aryan was arrested in a major drug case led by Wankhede. The case quickly became one of the most talked-about controversies in the country. Aryan spent time in custody, before being granted bail, and eventually all charges against him were dropped. A different NCB team later admitted that the evidence in the case was weak.

    Fast forward to today, Wankhede has filed a lawsuit against Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, streaming on Netflix. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s banner, the show has drawn Wankhede’s anger for allegedly portraying him unfairly. He claims the series defames him, misrepresents his role as an officer, and damages his reputation.

    One scene in particular upset him, where a character makes an obscene gesture right after saying ‘Satyamev Jayate.’ Wankhede argues that this not only insults a national symbol but also hurts public sentiment, which he says is against the law.

    In his petition to the Delhi High Court, Wankhede has asked for the series to be restrained from streaming and distribution. He also wants a declaration that the show is defamatory. Interestingly, he has sought ₹2 crore in damages, but not for himself, he has proposed that the amount should be donated to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital.

    As for the show itself, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is Aryan Khan’s first outing as a director. Set in the world of cinema, it follows the journey of ambitious newcomers trying to find their place in Bollywood, with appearances from some familiar faces.

    Thousands of heartbroken fans gathered in Guwahati to pay their final respects to beloved singer and music icon Zubeen Garg, who tragically passed away on September 19 in a scuba diving accident in Singapore. Zubeen was in Singapore to attend the North East India Festival. According to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the singer had gone scuba diving without a life jacket, which led to the heartbreaking accident. His body was flown from Singapore to Delhi, and then brought to Guwahati on a late-night Air India flight. CM Sarma personally received Zubeen’s mortal remains at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

    As the news spread, fans began gathering outside Guwahati Airport to catch a final glimpse of their favourite artist. His body was placed in a glass casket at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (Sarusajai Stadium) so that people could pay their respects.

    The crowds kept growing, and in response, the Chief Minister announced that another location – Bhogeswar Baruah Stadium – would remain open through the night so that more people could say goodbye. He also confirmed that Zubeen’s mortal remains would stay at Sarusajai Stadium until Monday (September 22).

    CM Sarma has been posting photos and videos of the huge crowds on social media. In one emotional video, thousands of fans lined the streets, chanting “Jai Zubeen da” as the ambulance carrying the singer’s body drove by.

    Sharing the video, Sarma wrote: “A sea of humanity, united in a farewell to their favourite son. He lived like a king, and he is being sent to the heavens like one.”

    Deepika Padukone will not be seen in Kalki 2898 AD, and she’s making headlines about it all over once again because of her exit from the upcoming sequel of the movie Kalki 2989 AD . A few months ago, news about Deepika Padukone ‘s and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s spirit circulated because the filmmaker was not ready to accept the terms and conditions that Deepika Padukone demanded for an eight-hour shift, and there were other issues as well. Now, in the new headlines, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD announced that Deepika won’t be a part of the film’s sequel. In their tweet, they mentioned that a film like Kalki 2898 AD deserves commitment and time.

    Now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, there are multiple reasons why the makers decided not to have Deepika in Kalki Part 2. An inside source said that Deepika has demanded a 25 percent increment in her fees. She was also adamant about shooting for just seven hours a day.

    The source also said, “Given that Kalki 2898 AD is a VFX-heavy film, such short shoots were likely to shoot up the budget by a reasonable amount. The producers were willing to provide a luxury vanity for Deepika to rest in exchange for longer shoot hours, but she refused. They also tried to negotiate finances, given that even Prabhas had not asked for an increment in fees. She and her team refused to adjust on either.”

    The source added that Deepika has a huge team of almost 25 people that travels with her on the sets. “They demanded five-star accommodation and reimbursement for food throughout the shoot for her entourage. Why should the producers pay for the stay and food of an actor, over and above the fees? This is an issue that a lot of Hindi producers also face. “
    The source said, “This was the issue on Spirit too , and now Kalki 2898 AD. Actors have to be more collaborative to make films work.” Deepika has not yet shared any official statement about her exit from Kalki 2898 AD Part 2.

    Well, we are talking about Hrithik Roshan. He made his Bollywood debut with his father’s film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai starring Ameesha Patel. This film made Hrithik an overnight sensation and he received several marriage proposals after it. He later gave a hit with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He later gave four back-to-back flops with Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage Ho, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! And Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. Hrithik gave a hit after two years Koi Mil Gaya! after his film Lakshaya in 2004 got flopped. Hrithik took a hiatus from Bollywood and made a blockbuster comeback in 2006 with Krrish and Dhoom 2. Hrithik was also offered Bunty Aur Babli alongside Abhishek Bachchan, but he turned down the offer. He even rejected Shah Rukh Khan’s Main Hoon Naa, wherein he was asked to play the role of his brother. Hrithik also turned down the offers like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, and Rang De Basanti which made Aamir Khan famous.
