Big Brother 10 alum Libra Thompson is on the mend after suffering a stroke.
“Hi Friends! After being finally able to sort through it all … I would like to thank each and everyone for reaching out and sending me well wishes!” Thompson, 49, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, February 10. “I unfortunately experienced a stroke event on February 1st while I was in San Antonio attending a conference, luckily my roommate, co-worker and friend was there!!”
Thompson thanked her doctors and the medical team at San Antonio’s Methodist Metropolitan hospital for taking care of her. She was also “grateful” that they were able to find out what caused the stroke.
“I am most grateful that they were able to pinpoint a cause [of] my stroke, although [it] was considered a cryptogenic stroke it was found to be due to me having a PFO — patent foramen ovale, which is a small hole in my heart,” she continued. “I will be meeting with both a neurologist and cardiologist this week with UT physicians that specialize in PFO events for my plan [of] care.”
Thompson also shared that her time in the hospital was costly and asked her “CISD friends” if they would be willing to donate “a day or two” for her unpaid leave of absence.
“I would be most grateful for anything that you could give. I really hate asking, but pride aside, donate days would help me out tremendously!” she wrote. “I will have [a] considerable amount of medical bills while being on an unpaid FMLA leave and I am finding out that heart surgery is some of the most expensive around!”
While the health scare was unexpected, Thompson is glad that she is in the process of making a full recovery.
“All that being said I am so blessed that I am on the other side of this and I am on the mend!❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹,” she concluded.

Thompson was best known for competing on Big Brother season 10. She was a memorable figure in the house as she was part of the dramatic moment during Keesha Smith’s birthday. At one point when her housemates were arguing, Thompson quipped, “Anybody want cake?”
While she didn’t win the show, Thompson took home a Hawaiian vacation and $1,000 that she earned during the competition. She was the fifth person evicted and became the first member of the jury.
Following her time on Big Brother, Thompson has not appeared in any other reality shows. According to her LinkedIn page, she is a behavior instructional coach in Texas.
Former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler has opened up on having couples’ therapy with her husband Martin Bojtos after struggling with postnatal depression.
The 44-year-old reality star welcomed the couple’s first child, daughter Noa, in 2021 and they tied the knot the following year.
But This Morning star Kate – who hosts the competitions – has now revealed how Martin asked her to go to couples’ therapy before they headed down the aisle.
Kate said that it was the “toughest time” of their relationship.

She told New magazine: “Martin was the one to suggest it, around a year after I had Noa. I wasn’t in the best place and it was having a huge impact on our relationship. Plus we were getting married six months later and Martin just wanted to start our marriage on the right foot, which was totally the right thing.”
Kate admitted that she “panicked” when Martin first suggested therapy and “thought he wanted to break up with me”.
She added: “It was the toughest part of our relationship. Having a child is the hardest thing you will ever do, but I also believe keeping your marriage alive after you have had a child is a huge challenge.”
Kate says their therapy was “invaluable” and revealed they still have sessions “every few months”.

And they may be needing it when they return home from their family holiday after Kate joked on social media that their current road trip will “end in divorce”.
The family have opted for a getaway to the French village of Grimaud – but it took them 10 hours to drive there.
Kate told her Instagram followers: “I’m the worst passenger when my husband is driving at home.
“Can you imagine what I was like for 10 hours on a motorway? 10 hours it took to get to Grimaud. Should have taken us four and a half.
“Every five minutes I was [shrieking]: ‘Watch the lorry!’ He’s driving up a mountain and we are on the edge of a cliff on windy roads, in the dark, may I add.
“Because I have generalised anxiety disorder, this is how my internal system operates. I believe he’s driving us off the edge of a cliff by accident.
“I actually lost it, I had sweaty palms and everything.”
Kate finished her video by saying Martin had been “on the loo for ages” at a service station, “definitely Googling for the UK’s best divorce lawyer”.

While we’re not sure where Race Across the World will go next, we are sure that it will return. It might even return relatively soon, given that applications to appear on the series closed in May 2023. The last three seasons of the show premiered in March, so we’d take a gamble on that.
The heartwarming new dating show, hosted by Davina McCall, is also due to return in 2024. My Mum, Your Dad sees single parents busting out the romance with one twist – their children are watching it all. The last series was such a success that one of its lasting couples, Janey and Roger, are sharing their Christmas plans with OK! magazine months later. Though we don’t have a release date exactly, we do know the show will return in 2024 with “new twists”.

The says-what-it-is-on-the-tin reality show will also return in 2024, after going from strength to strength in 2023. With more episodes and a more diverse cast than ever before, the series continued to be a big hit for E4. November’s reunion revealed that couples such as Tasha and Paul are still together, so it’s a success on that front too. Again, there’s no confirmation on dates but the series usually airs around late August/early September.

Maybe ratings-wise it wasn’t exactly the glittering return ITV hoped for with new Big Brother in 2023, but it is confirmed to return for a second shot in 2024. After five years away from our screens, ITV revived the classic reality show for the 2020s. There were fresh new hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, new challenges and a beautiful new house. Applications for 2024 are open now if you’d like to be a part of it. Considering applications don’t close until July, we’d probably guess at a late 2024 return date – which is what ITV went for in 2023.

Influencer sisters Tay and Ari are a dynamic duo who’ll be playing as one housemate. Don’t be fooled by how young they are. This pair of early 20-somethings are a united front with double the trouble.
What Do Tay and Ari Bring to the “Big Brother” House?
Raised in the Gold Coast, Tay, 23, and Ari, 21, are not to be underestimated. They’re both incredibly confident and headstrong. While Tay is excited to give “Big Brother” a crack after seeing bits and pieces of the show, Ari is keen to make new friends and hopefully snag a partner.

Known for her memorable appearances in both 2013 and 2022, Tully takes us behind the scenes of one of Australia’s most iconic reality shows.
From her favourite memories to the challenges of life in the house, Tully offers a candid, unfiltered look at the reality of reality TV. She also talks about life after the show, and even dishes about that one show she turned down.

What’s your favourite memory from your time on “Big Brother”?
Gosh, that’s a tricky question! Which season? I have so many favourite memories.
2013 would have to be the HotPantz/Man Date challenge where we split into boys and girls and recorded an original song, filmed a video clip and then performed it live. That was such a fun week, pretending to be part of a girl band.
2022 would have to be the Panic! at the Disco challenge — we all jumped in the pool at 2 a.m. in our undies and had a dance party. Both are memories I’ll cherish forever.
You had a very tumultuous time on “Big Brother” the first time. Do you have any regrets about your time on the show? What about last year?
I don’t live life with regrets — I don’t think it’s productive. Every decision I’ve made has provided me an opportunity for growth and made me the person I am today. It was a very humbling experience, that’s for sure!
Round two, I was incredibly proud of my time in the House. My only regret was that I didn’t manage to get rid of Drew before he stabbed me in the back!
What’s the most challenging thing about being on “Big Brother”?
Not having any of your creature comforts or “self-soothing” tools. The House is a very stressful environment, you live life on the edge, constantly walking on eggshells, always waiting for a twist or turn. A snap eviction. An early wake-up call. You have zero control. For someone with anxiety like me, it can be overwhelming.
Not having your loved ones, your pets, music, books… the ability to go for a walk and clear your head can make you feel a bit like a rat trapped in a cage. It can be suffocating at times.
What was it like coming back for a second time?
Kind of a dream come true! The number of nights I’d spent fantasising about what I’d do if I had another chance… plus as a lifelong Superfan of the show, it was an honour to be asked back and included alongside some of the iconic Housemates such as Reggie and Trev. I had grown up a lot since 2013 and was excited to show Australia the person I had become.
You know first-hand what it’s like to form romantic connections in the house. What are your thoughts on the new season adding dating into the mix?
Personally, I love watching a love story blossom on reality TV, so the prospect of several excites me, however, I am worried it might take away from the original premise of the show.
I also like watching people of different ages and walks of life living together, so the fact that it’s a bunch of super hot 20-somethings… I don’t know. A bit of diversity would have been nice!
The relationship dynamics in the Big Brother house can be intense. What was it like to fall in love in the “Big Brother” house?
Everything in that House feels exaggerated. Time moves both slowly and at the speed of light — you spend all day doing nothing but getting to know each other and one week feels like one month. You form a bond and a friendship first which we know makes for a great romantic relationship. But imagine moving in with someone after a first date?! That’s kind of what it’s like.
You eat meals together, brush your teeth together… you see each other in PJs with bed hair. It’s quite a wholesome and old-school way to start something. But everything happens on fast-forward. On top of that, you’re basically trauma-bonded from the whole experience, so it’s intense, to say the least!
Do you think people can form romantic relationships in the Big Brother house that stand the test of time in the real world?
I mean “Big Brother Australia” specifically doesn’t have a great track record, does it? But I’m a hopeless romantic, so I want to say yes.
In saying that, I think it’s hard to find people these days who genuinely sign up to these shows for love and not, say, a social media following.
Let’s talk about the edit: How did you feel about the way you were portrayed at the time?
It is what it is! I said what I said, I took full responsibility for my actions and I never once blamed the edit. In 2013 the show was live, airing a day after it was filmed, so they weren’t able to chop and change scenes from different days to create a different storyline. There were no Frakenbites.
I did notice a bit more “creative license” with the 2022 season which was pre-recorded, but that’s how it works these days!
Are you still in contact with anyone from the show?
Absolutely! I only really ever had an issue with maybe one or two housemates over both seasons. I’m in regular touch with most of them… Gab, Aleisha, Estelle, Tim, Boog, Johnson, Reggie, Trev… I saw Tahan at an event last week, Jazz was at my birthday dinner on Saturday and we bumped into Drew later on in the night.
The 2022 group WhatsApp chat is still pretty active! It’s an experience that bonds us all forever, whether we like it or not! Haha
Being on reality TV often comes with a spotlight that brings lots of new opportunities. Was that true for you?
Absolutely! I’ve been a social media influencer for over a decade now thanks to “Big Brother” 2013. I’ve been paid to travel the world and worked with some of my favourite brands. I’ve been the host of two podcasts and am about to write my first book. None of that would have been possible if it wasn’t for the show. I am incredibly grateful for all the opportunities the show has brought me!
If so, what was the best opportunity that came your way after the show?
It’s hard to go past being invited to Coachella VIP with Revolve. Kendall Jenner and Louis from One Direction were at the pre-party. That was a real “pinch me” moment! I also got to take my best friend to the Cook Islands, and explore middle America with Contiki — the travel is the best part of the job.
Did your time on “Big Brother” teach you anything about yourself that you didn’t know before? If so, what did you learn?
How long is a piece of string? It was the single greatest learning experience of my life.
It’s not often you get a birds-eye look at yourself, and I didn’t love everything I watched back. But I was 25. I was young and had a lot going on back home that I hadn’t ever really dealt with — I had undiagnosed anxiety, for one. I try to give myself grace when it comes to that time in my life. We all make mistakes. It’s about how we deal with them and move forward, and I’m proud of how I handled it all.
Have you turned down any offers to appear or compete on other shows? If so, why?
Absolutely! I’ve been asked if I’d do “MAFS” and I said, “over my dead body”. It’s just not the show for me, way too much drama. I just want to lie by a pool and do fun challenges! I’m not built for a “MAFS” dinner party!
Are there any other shows that you’d like to do?
I have been DYING to get the call up for “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” — I think it’s a really wholesome show where we get to see another side of the participants. It touches on important topics. It’s lighthearted and warm. It’s kinda like “Big Brother” meets “Survivor”, which I like.
I want to push myself a bit and most importantly, it’s all about raising money for your chosen charity. I’d love nothing more than to raise money for Dementia Australia in memory of my late mother, Kay.
What’s your best advice for the cast of the upcoming season?
It’s a cliché, but be yourself. Be yourself, get a good psychologist and block the trolls. Haha
But most importantly, have fun! It is (usually) a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it’s over before you know it and you’ll spend the rest of your life wishing you could go back in and do it all over again!
What advice would you give someone who wanted to apply for “Big Brother”?
Do it! You won’t regret it… and even if you do, it makes for a hell of a good dinner party story!

“Big Brother Canada” “Whodunnit Week” was full of twists and mysteries. For the second time in BBCAN history, an invisible HOH was on the loose. Santina Carlson nominated two major risks for eviction: Terrell “Ty” McDonald and Dan Szabo.

Despite the nominees’ arduous campaigning, DJ Dan Szabo’s BBCAN party finally took a beating as he was eliminated from the house by a unanimous vote and became the first jury member of the season.
“I started off by deciding if I was really ready to commit to jumping sides of the house,” said Dan. “I felt like my back was against the wall and I thought that might be the only way to get Kuzie, Anika and Daniel to vote for me because the people closest to me were Naynay (Shanaya) and Ty, and they were going to vote to keep CC (Claudia).”

Santina, the second-time HOH winner, blindly hit the winning number in a tiebreaker to become the invisible HOH and started to work focusing on her goals as soon as “Whodunnit?” took over the BBCAN Manor. Santina used her invisibility skills to put threats Ty and Dan S. up for eviction after telling Jonathan Leonard, a friend, about her newly acquired power.

The nominees argued their cases, but in the end, DJ Dan was deemed to pose the greatest threat within the house and was transported directly to the jury house.
Being the Invisible HOH isn’t always smooth sailing 😶
Premiering March 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global and STACKTV, Big Brother Canada will surveil the houseguests as they live and compete alongside each other in an effort to secure the $100,000 grand prize.
But it looks like there could be some fresh surprises in store for the guests, with the show teasing mysteries hidden behind secret passageways and devious twists designed to stoke paranoia throughout the house.

This season, ‘Big Brother Canada’ will air three nights a week featuring new episodes every Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET/PT (Head of Household), Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT (Power of Veto) and Thursday at 7 p.m. ET/PT (Eviction).

Angela Rummans and Tyler Crispen, who met when they were housemates in the 2018 season of “Big Brother”, have reportedly called it quits on their four-year relationship.
Us Weekly cites “multiple sources” who claim that the pair, who got engaged in January 2021, have called of their engagement and gone their separate ways.
“They broke up a while ago,” one source tells the outlet, noting that most of the couple’s friends have been keeping quiet about the breakup as they weren’t sure if they were just on a “break” or if they were done for good.
Following their experience on “Big Brother”, Crispen and Rummans remained inseparable.
“Literally every single day since we got out of the house, we’ve never spent more than three nights apart,” Rummans told Us Weekly in 2020 while Crispen was sequestered inside the “Big Brother: All-Stars” house.
“We spent three nights apart one time. Our lives are just so interconnected. We are one person. This is what I tell people: It feels like someone ripped my arm off and my leg off, and then they strapped a 20-pound backpack on my back and said, ‘Go run a marathon now.’ I’m like, this is impossible,” she said at the time.
