Welcome To The Neighborhood: Kanye West Alleged Plan To Build A City Within Beverly Hills Labeled ‘Delusional’ By Neighbors

Kanye West copped a new $35M Beverly Hills mansion hinting at big plans for the property, but neighbors call it “delusional”.

While Kanye West is with his wife Bianca Censori frolicking throughout Japan, he manages to sell his gutted Malibu mansion. After tearing out the interior but failing to begin upgrades, West sold the $53M beachfront property for only $21M. Selling the house for a 60% loss probably wasn’t ideal for West, but most of his business dealings aren’t.

According to TMZ, Ye has already snatched up another nearby property in Beverly Hills, California. This time, Yeezy forked out $35M for a lavish 11-bedroom, 20k-square-foot, 7-arce property.

Kanye couldn’t contain his excitement and took to Instagram to share a pic of the property with “Droam” written across it. Allegedly this was a hint that Kanye plans to build a city within Beverly Hills on the property. TMZ reached out to his neighbors to get their thoughts and they immediately labeled the idea “delusional.”

Ye has mentioned the idea in several interviews and previously built domes in Los Angeles before police shut down the operation. Also, his neighbors say they hope he is traveling so much he’s never home to attempt the plans. It sounds far-fetched that Ye would succeed in building a city inside the luxurious Beverly Hills area however he’s pulled off far more insane feats.

Elon Musk responds after Tesla Cybertruck crashes into Beverly Hills Hotel sign

    [ad_1]

A Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the sign marking the entrance to the fabled Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday night, prompting Elon Musk to post about the incident on X, formerly Twitter.

The massive, stainless steel behemoth bonked into the sign around 11:45 p.m. Sunday after it was involved in a collision with another vehicle, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

“Cyberbeast is faster than a Porsche 911, but looks like a truck, so perhaps the valet wasn’t expecting so much acceleration,” Tesla founder Musk joked on X, the social media site he owns.

Musk was responding to a claim that went viral, suggesting that a Beverly Hills Hotel valet crashed the truck, which later turned out to be a joke by an X user.

The Beverly Hills Police Department did not have information Monday afternoon about injuries or damage resulting from the accident.

Video posted online showed the truck sustained significant damage to its front left wheel. The truck also damaged the poles holding up the sign as well as the pink sidewalk wall in front of it, according to images from the scene.

“There was not an employee or member of our valet team involved in the accident,” said Brittany Williams, the director of communications for the Dorchester Collection, which operates the hotel.

Raphael Nissel and his wife were walking to their Beverly Hills synagogue on Saturday morning when a man struck Nissel’s head from behind with a belt buckle.

Nissel, who wore a yarmulke, was left dazed and bloodied by the attack.

“My wife told me, ‘Watch out!’” Nissel, 75, told The Times on Sunday. “All of a sudden, something hard hit my forehead.”

The assailant turned to Nissel’s wife, Rivka and allegedly said, “Jew, give me your jewelry” but fled after Nissel gave chase.

Officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon that morning at North Rexford Drive and North Santa Monica Boulevard, near the Beverly Hills Police Department. They took over the pursuit of the suspect.

Nissel suffered a deep cut to his head, which he said required four “staples,” and was treated at the scene.

Scheduled to give a reading that day from the Torah at Young Israel of North Beverly Hills, an orthodox synagogue, Nissel didn’t allow the attack to deter him.

“My wife had to run to the house to bring me a new shirt,” he said. “I walked to the synagogue and was able to perform.”

Based on a description of the suspect, police later found and arrested Jarris Jay Silagi.

In a Sunday afternoon news release, Beverly Hills Police Chief Mark Stainbrook said his officers acted swiftly in taking Silagi into custody.

“This despicable act of hate against a member of our community will not be tolerated,” Stainbrook said.

Silagi, 44, of Los Angeles was booked on the suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, elder abuse and a hate crime. A prior conviction for an attempted second-degree robbery in 2012 also occurred in Beverly Hills.

Silagi is being held at Los Angeles County Jail on $100,000 bail.

He is due at the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse on Tuesday as Beverly Hills police continue their investigation.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the attack a “vile act” in a Sunday afternoon post on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

A hate crimes report released last month by the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission found that anti-Jewish offenses skyrocketed by 59% last year and accounted for an overwhelming majority of religiously motivated hate crimes.

Officials have also noted a sharp rise in anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish hate crimes since the Israel-Hamas war began Oct. 7 which were not included in the 2022 report.

Bass pledged that the city would continue to work with its partners to “actively combat antisemitism.”

    Nissel appreciated the mayor’s comments.

“I’m doing well,” Nissel said. “The most important part are the incidents we have to prevent in the future.”

LA officials: Suspect in homeless murders is in custody

    [ad_1]

LOS ANGELES – At a press conference on Saturday afternoon, Mayor Karen Bass and LAPD Chief Michel Moore along with Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón and LA County Sheriff Robert Luna announced the arrest of the suspect in the murders of three homeless individuals across the city.

LAPD Chief Moore identified the suspect as Jerrid Joseph Powell, 33, of Los Angeles. Powell is alleged to be the gunman behind the murders of homeless men across Los Angeles from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29.

After a multiple agency cooperative investigation triggered by the follow-home murder of Nicholas Simbolon of San Dimas on Tuesday night by LASD homicide investigators, a car and weapon in that case was identified by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Simbolon was a tenured L.A. County employee, who worked for the chief executive officer as a project manager in the IT department.

“He was key in developing applications, software that helped to propel the office forward, and also helped us to meet our mission to deliver services to citizens and residents of L.A. County,” Sheriff Robert Luna said at Thursday’s press conference.

On Thursday morning, the suspect, Powell, was spotted in Beverly Hills driving the same vehicle and taken into custody.

“When you get to a scene, you just start playing it backwards,” Sheriff Luna said while announcing the arrest [Thursday]. “They start looking at every avenue.”

During the arrest, deputies recovered a gun that appeared to match the description of the weapon used to commit the crime, authorities added.

“Over the course of the investigation of our murders, we were able to identify the vehicle we believe is connected to our three homicides as being the same vehicle that Mr. Powell used in the murder of Mr. Simbolon,” Moore said at Saturday’s press conference. “[We learned] that it was being held in custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as evidence of their murder.”

According to Chief Moore, that vehicle was the same being sought in the killings of the three homeless persons and the gun seized was the weapon used in the killings.
